Hey Chris, I've noticed since watching your vids, that all your aftermarket improvements are tastefully done and give encouragement to C5 owners to make their own decisions on doing the same. So, on behalf of all your subscribers, we say thank you for doing what you do.
Very cool how the panels are removed by just removing a handful of screws. No cutting glass tabs, or anything like that. Will look sweet once it's all painted. Another great video Bud.
These look so good Chris!!! 🔥🔥 Can’t believe I’m just now seeing this video, swear I’ve seen all yours until now. Glad I saw it, now where’s my computer and debit card?!😝
This looks great!!! This is an upgrade I’ve wanted to do for years. The body shop talked me out of it saying that after market fenders would never fit the same. Damn! Can’t wait to see it painted.
OK, great job responding to everyone. So you will have panels removed to paint, deleted side markers, and spacers until the new wheels are in the budget. Can't wait to see your wheel choice and wider meats on the back. Great video as always.
Hey Chris I've watched a lot of your videos and learned a lot you give great information do you know anything about changing the door skin on a c5 any info would be appreciated
Cool thanks I do have another question On the corvette creation website they only off the zo6 tpe style is this the one u got? I'm wanting to order them
what can you tell me about door panel fit, and water leaking in both windows. better yet, can you do a video on this? i have not been able to find much help.
That could be one of several things. The glass may be out of alignment. Your weatherstripping may be bad, door could be out of adjustment. I would need to see it in person to tell.
@@mycorvettelife I just replaced the weatherstripping, and i can tell the driver side door is out of whack a little bit. what do you know about adjusting the windows?
I noticed that the lower part of your rear bumper is a gloss black, mine is a matte black and I prefer yours, did it come like that when you bought it?
Okay, I definitely approve! I was always on the fence with wide body fenders because so many look tacked on, but these look good. +1 to my C5's mods list....
Corvette Mods. As a rule of thumb, I don’t care for Corvette Mods but they were the only ones I could find the proper 1” spacers with presses in studs.
No, nor would you ever want to. You would want to match the existing paint on the car. Every car of the same factory color may be slightly different based on what conditions it has been driven/stored in over the past 20 years.
I like the clean lines without the marker lights. Will you have the body shop cut the necessary opening to reinstall them? Most everyone seems to do just the rear quarters, what about installing matching wide-body front quarters? Save the Wave.
Enjoyable video! Like to see what ideas you can give me for my 2000 C5! Non Vette related.... what did you use on your garage floor?? It looks amazing!
Chris, great video, as usual! The panels look awesome. I noticed they deleted the sidemarkers too, which looks way better. I'm curious, what size tire do you have in the rear? What size are you able to fit now that you've installed the quarter panels?
@@mycorvettelife Wow, so you were able to fit 325's with the stock quarter panels? What rims are you using? I need to get a thicker tire on mine. As it stands, first gear is useless, lol.
I am betting the customer has a choice on the side markers if he wants them or not ( I actually would of thought being from California that it would be a law to have side markers on all cars in the states)
Yes. I have not done anything about it and it’s been fine. You can’t see it unless you stick your head in there. There is one guy on Corvette Forum that makes an extension piece to fill the gap.

This^
Thank you sir! That is what I strive for.
Well said Tony!
I second that👍
Absolutely this!! So many Vettes are so tacky looking but Chris has so clean and good looking car!!
Very cool how the panels are removed by just removing a handful of screws. No cutting glass tabs, or anything like that. Will look sweet once it's all painted. Another great video Bud.
I knew in 97 the C5 was an instant classic. Strong work on keeping yours looking all-day fresh.
What type of spacer and size is that ?
Damn that was easier than I thought.
I'd lock tite and torque those spacers. I had some come loose on me once.
AWESOME! Might have to do this on mine!
So glad you kept the pop ups I hate when other C5 owners delete them because it’s what makes it a C5
I didn't even know there were wide body quarters available. Nice video. Also didn't know they just bolt on.
Awesome Fenders, and i see the lift comes in very handy, and i do the same when working on my C5, i see a dirty area like that, just gotta clean it!!!
I'm thinking about but some for my FRC but I heard it's some modifications you need to do to make them fit.
What about the side marker lights ? I noticed there was no cut out for them in the new quarters.
Once again you make it look easy. Those fenders look very nice! Awesome when they are painted.
These look so good Chris!!! 🔥🔥 Can’t believe I’m just now seeing this video, swear I’ve seen all yours until now. Glad I saw it, now where’s my computer and debit card?!😝
Thanks for making these videos. Very helpful as I'm doing stuff to my z06. Thanks man.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Looks great.
This looks great!!! This is an upgrade I’ve wanted to do for years. The body shop talked me out of it saying that after market fenders would never fit the same. Damn! Can’t wait to see it painted.
Mello noticed a little extra gap where it meets the rocker panel.
25mm spacer? Also, what kind of lift & side skirts? Thank You.
Extremely tasteful car..
Keep it up!
I just ordered my own wide fenders. What did you do with the side marker light? Did you just leave it in there?
So do the marker lights in the quarter panel just not get used? Or do they offer the fenders with those holes in them?
Either way.
Did yesterday do the c6 splash guards on the c5?
I don’t know if you mentioned it on your other videos where did you get those spacers ?
Corvette Mods
Do you have a link for the spacers used with your widebody kit?
Chris where did you buy your fenders? I just got mine in and they didn't have the predrilled holes and they don't fix as well as your do.
Corvette Creationz
Fenders look great Chris!!! Your car is looking better and better with each mod.
Damn.you have a NICE garage chris
🙏🏻
Can’t find these TPE style ones on their website only for z06/vert are they not making them for coupes anymore?
They do. Call them. It will be a long lead time.
Nice! Can’t wait to see it after paint.
Nice little add-on buddy! Keep the vids coming,I have been with you from the day you bought it and its come a long way since then.
Where did you get them from looks to be of good quality also where do you get the spacers I’ve been wanting to do this to my 04 Z06
So you have to delete the corner lamp on the wide body fender. what did you do with the light fixture?
It was an option. I just tied the wire up behind the fender.
I'm anxiously sitting here waiting on the word to go pick up my wide bodied c5 I can wait I barely slept last night lol
Great fit for an aftermarket part.
Looks awesome my friend. Can’t wait to see it painted. Great video.
were you able to find a wide body fender liner for your car?
No
That gas cap paint protector is nice. Where did you find that
Came with the car.
Thanks!!! no you make it much easier for me when I gonna installed mine wide body fenders😃😃😃
OK, great job responding to everyone. So you will have panels removed to paint, deleted side markers, and spacers until the new wheels are in the budget. Can't wait to see your wheel choice and wider meats on the back. Great video as always.
Nice mod! Thanks for sharing!!!
How did you get your quarters without the side markers??
They come like that. You have to cut them out to install the side marker.
What about the fender lights, saw nothing on cutting holes for them
Deleted. Not required in AZ.
How many inches was the spacer with your z06 wheels ?
1”
How was the fitment? Are all the holes pre drilled?
Fitment was so so. The body shop got them to fit better than I could. All hole were pre-drilled.
Good video Chris. Just ordered the TPE’s from CC. How was the pre-fitment prior to paint? Any issues? Thanks!
So the wide body panel didn't come w/ those side marker lights. Did u just zip tie and not put bulbs in ????
I purposely asked for them to be deleted. I tied the wires up.
Hey Chris I've watched a lot of your videos and learned a lot you give great information do you know anything about changing the door skin on a c5 any info would be appreciated
Did you need to modify them at all to fit
Not dramatically. A few of the holes had to be drilled out larger.
Congrats on words fenders bro! Awesome video keep it up
Love the smooth flare and marker delete. Hell yeah!
Good luck at the car show!
how big of a spacer did you have to use?
1”
Cool thanks
I do have another question
On the corvette creation website they only off the zo6 tpe style is this the one u got? I'm wanting to order them
No. Call them or email them. The Coupe takes a different panel.
Ok cool thanks man.
Love the channel by the way.
What spacers did you throw on
Corvette Mods
No side markers??? Here in Kalifornia they would cite you in a heartbeat.
Nope. AZ doesn’t care.
What size of spacer did you use ?
1”
Awesome i just was ran into at a gas station and will most likely go this route , did you paint them ?
Is there an option to purchase with the marker delete from corvettecreationz?
They come with the marker deleted since most people were requesting it that way. But it would be easy to cut in if someone still wanted it.
Dang I can't wait for my carbon fenders! Been waiting patiently since April lol. Glad things are finally starting to move on a positive direction!
Did you have any issues with your carbon fiber fenders. I just recieved mine today. I'm hoping that I dont run into any hiccups.
Matthew Blanchett how was the fitment?
Chris, what is the spacer thickness for those front and rear c6 z06 wheels?
With the stock fenders I didn’t use any spacers front or rear. With the wide rear fenders I’m using 1” spacers on the rear until I get new wheels.
Awesome. Would love to be able to do this with my C6 but that's not anytime soon. Enjoy the new look.
You could order the rear fenders without the side lens? Delete the lens?
Yes, deleted.
This thing looks DOPE.
beautiful & clean
Great look on this one , its just a bolt on ?No need to fit it?Could been nice with a link wher you buy them
How big is the spacers? Thanks
1”
I knew they were coming a while back lol rear defuser coming ?? Looks good
No diffuser.
I have a 98 C5 and had a Carbon Fiber Defuser install. It’s a custom job! It looks great, but a lot of work.
Could you get wider tires and not use a spacer?
It’s the wheels, not the tires. I’ll use spacers until I can justify $2000 for new wheels with the proper offset.
@@mycorvettelife ouch!
What’s offset is needed to get rid of the spacers?
Nice! Can't wait to do mine

In the same set up as you but use a 5mm spacer. And that works without any issues, make the tires more tucked in
What type of lift did you have the Corvette on?
BulgeEye Raccoon he has a whole other video dedicated to that lift. Check it out on his channel
@@matthewfain3289 Okay. I've never really seen this channel much or checked it out, but I will cause I need that thing in my life
BulgeEye Raccoon it’s very tempting to get thats for sure. Woulda helped me a lot with my C5 projects. 😅
I noticed that the lower part of your rear bumper is a gloss black, mine is a matte black and I prefer yours, did it come like that when you bought it?
Great job!👍 It looks like a
Grand Sport now! 😎
I wish that I could find finders for my C4 Corvette rear quarters.
How much did u buy the wide body fenders?
About $1000 shipped
@@mycorvettelife cause got a c5 and kinda Wana get the same one u mind sending me a link from were u got it?

Thanks for the video you answered a question that been on my mind for a while sweet vette
Would have liked to know the specs of the spacers/wheels/tires
OEM C6 Z06 wheels with 1” spacers on the rear.
Finally got a set of these!!
Congrats!
My Corvette Life Thanks! Prep and paint soon. How they holding up?
Mine are still doing well.
Congrats! Looks great!
Hey Chris what are you going to do about the side markers?
Deleting them. We don’t have any inspections that require them in AZ.
Nice video! Who makes that car jack that you are using?

where did you get the spacers from?
Corvette Mods. As a rule of thumb, I don’t care for Corvette Mods but they were the only ones I could find the proper 1” spacers with presses in studs.

No side markers on new fenders? Or you gonna cut into it?
nowotarzan good point. Didn’t notice that.
Deleting the side markers.
Chris, you corvette is coming along really nicely, my question to you is, do you really trust having wheel spacers on your car?
Yes, although I have since gotten new wheels and don’t use spacers.

Yea, very common.
@@mycorvettelife thanks I just got my TPEs in yesterday was sold on your video. Good to know I don't have to change the front fenders ! Thanks
How was the fitment? any issues at all? really considering buying some for my C5Z. Let me know thanks
