Absolutely this!! So many Vettes are so tacky looking but Chris has so clean and good looking car!!
Very cool how the panels are removed by just removing a handful of screws. No cutting glass tabs, or anything like that. Will look sweet once it's all painted. Another great video Bud.
I knew in 97 the C5 was an instant classic. Strong work on keeping yours looking all-day fresh.

I'd lock tite and torque those spacers. I had some come loose on me once.
So glad you kept the pop ups I hate when other C5 owners delete them because it’s what makes it a C5
Awesome Fenders, and i see the lift comes in very handy, and i do the same when working on my C5, i see a dirty area like that, just gotta clean it!!!

This looks great!!! This is an upgrade I’ve wanted to do for years. The body shop talked me out of it saying that after market fenders would never fit the same. Damn! Can’t wait to see it painted.

Hi Chris, you might think about buying an electric ratchet. It would definitely speed up your disassembly and reassembly process! I bought mine on Amazon and it really helps!

Hey whatsup..Chris. love the new look. Its amazing how modern the C5 Corvette looks. I think if you lived in the UK your vette would look alot worse with our rainy climate, so to be honest i think your car isn't that dirty after 20 years. Regards from England.

Only get your wide fenders from corvette creations. The other sellers are known to take the money and not deliver for months if at all.
I'm thinking about but some for my FRC but I heard it's some modifications you need to do to make them fit.
Definitely need the paint shop to install side marker lights. They should at least include a template for the side marker lights.

I love the car and really like your video editing. Great job on everything. Would have been great for company to include side marker light cutouts. We’re they expensive ? Dam nice clean garage for sure.
I chose to delete the side markers, that’s why they didn’t come with them cutout.
puts some on mine a few years back 2"wider went with a 2' spacer also lowered it looks sweet

If that cleaner has silicone keep it away from a paint shop. Remove and detergent clean any contamination from those quarters. Also fenders are on the front, quarter panels are always rear so no need to say rear quarter. Jus’ sayin’.

You should have paint them before installation that way you did not have to leave your car at the shop.After all the car will look great once are painted.I just hope with all the improvements you have made to the vette will be a keeper for quite sometime.
The car has the go to the shop regardless so they can ensure proper fitment and panel gap. Also to ensure paint match with the rest of the car. It will be done right.

Can you tell us what brand of panel you bought. Also You didn't mention the fit...was the spacing as good as the factory. Reason I 've asked because some of the other install videos I've watched did not leave me impressed with the accuracy of the way they fit.

Nope. AZ doesn’t care.
He didn’t torque the spacer lugs. Make sure you torque them then retorque after 50 miles or you can have catastrophic failure.
..when the new , wider quarters are installed there seems to be a gap between the original wheel well liner and the flared portion of the new quarter that isn't cover up..is there a fix for this?..do the manufacturers make a filler strip?

I have a 98 C5 and had a Carbon Fiber Defuser install. It’s a custom job! It looks great, but a lot of work.
I noticed that the lower part of your rear bumper is a gloss black, mine is a matte black and I prefer yours, did it come like that when you bought it?

I like the clean lines without the marker lights. Will you have the body shop cut the necessary opening to reinstall them? Most everyone seems to do just the rear quarters, what about installing matching wide-body front quarters? Save the Wave.

Yes, although I have since gotten new wheels and don’t use spacers.

I purposely asked for them to be deleted. I tied the wires up.

I know this is an old video, but it appears you just tightened your wheels up against your old lugs, which is a huge safety concern. Your old lugs should NOT be sticking out beyond your spacer face.
So do the marker lights in the quarter panel just not get used? Or do they offer the fenders with those holes in them?

Chris where did you buy your fenders? I just got mine in and they didn't have the predrilled holes and they don't fix as well as your do.

I was going to buy s c6 because the reareand looks better...but the c5 is better because you can fix them up and make them better.

They do. Call them. It will be a long lead time.
I ordered my 4 corner Corvette Creationz Carbon Fiber kit and production was out of stock. Watching all the good fellows put them on has me patiently waiting. What wheel spacers did you use?

Spacers are temporary until I can justify $2000 for new wheels.

Great video as always Chris. Will keep an eye out for you for intro's at the Prescott show - plan to be up there with a few of my ladies and do some lunch with friends. Looking forward to Soapbox your ride once the painting is done and aired out. Would suggest to drop the $25 or so and go with black lug nuts on the wheel rather than chrome. Easy but effective mod for sure. Had to knock that one out on one of my C7's. Best to the family from your friend at Soapbox Detailing of Arizona. Best to the family !!!! Here comes some cool weather..... pop the top and drive.
Those look great! If you don’t mind me asking, how much do you pay to get those painted? I sometimes think of changing a couple body panels but it seems ridiculous to pay as much as the car is worth to get it painted
$400 per panel for paint.

I am deleting the side markers. I am a Construction Manager for a commercial electrical contractor.

Hi Chris, you had installed a set for a friend that had fitment issues with the fuel door and the forward lower section where the point is in the door jam. Did you have any problems doing this install? I think they are different vendors but I could be wrong. Great video BTW and I want to do the same to my Vette. Thanks
Yes, they were both Corvette Creationz. I had similar issues with my set. His were a little worse. They sent him another set free of charge. I think they were a little better. I think when it comes to aftermarket body work you just have to expect it to not fit as well as OEM. Especially fiberglass. The body guys were able to make the fitment a little better before painting mine. Still not perfect but no one except me notices.
