    Last year, I changed the cooperative for my permit and had to get permission from the original one and then go to a ranger station to have it changed.

      Really? I guess I’ve only ever decided to go from an outfitter to a ranger station for permitting and never ran into trouble. You went from one outfitter to another?

      @@jodimiddendorf yes, I decided to stay in a bunkhouse up the gunflint and wanted to get the permit there. It used to be simply done online.

      Also along those lines, make sure you have an alternate leader or two because if the leader can go no one else can pickup the permit but the one listed as the leader or the alternates.
