As a Portlander, I thought of Blitzen Trapper as one of those cool post-grunge 2K bands that had a minute. Saw them live a few times, honestly thought they were "OK". Then they come roaring back a DECADE later, with the soft anthem of the year, maybe the decade. This a song that stays with you, rolls with you, and changes you. The next time they play here, I bet the days of a $10 cover charge are over. :)
My beautiful man was sound manager/musician for so many years. He was a big fan of Blitzen Trapper an often opened his show with “a Man Who Would Speak True”
If Google translated you correctly, yes. The melody (which can get stuck in your head), the gentle harmonies, the understated beauty, and genius. And a needed (though unintentional) tonic to our recent toxic elections.
This track is a beauty
Like a bee loves honey, like a thief loves money..
Thanks for the decades of inspiration and joy, BT.

Unbelievable how underrated this band is.
Belle mélodie , des voix harmonieuses, bien accordées n'ayant pas besoin de hurler pour se faire entendre. J'aime beaucoup ❤

Perfect American music for election day! End grifter, stop the squeal! Vote
Yes, I did, so did my friends and most of my relatives. Sucks for us, but BT is more important than ever.
