Metalhead and bass player here. Knower is a go-to for me when I need a break from metal. Louis Cole is a wizard, and this bass player is friggin incredible.

Check out Sam Wilkes and Jacob Mann together. (Jacob Mann plays keys in a lot of Louis Cole stuff and was Driver in the Clown Core videos).

@@bigfacedboy Man Clown Core... the playing keyboard with the pweepwee in the portaloo.. yeah, Clownc0re is more metal than 99% of metal bands... and for a band that uses keyboard drums and a saxophone... that's mighty impressive..

Love these guys!!! The drummer is a phenomenal musician! He is the drummer of Clown Core and the sax player is the other guy. The guy playing keys is the lead singer of Thirsty Merc too.

That’s pretty cool. Cant say I’ve ever listened to an entire Thirsty Merc album but whenever I’ve seen them at a festival (usually waiting to see the band afterwards) it’s always been a good time.

Louis Cole is a generational talent, in the same way Buddy Rich was. He definitely knows how to assemble the best of the best to work with him... and why wouldnt they. I think this song exemplifies what attracts me, a fellow metalhead, to them.... this song is just so fun to listen to. It fills me with a love of music and what its capable of.

What I meant was, a Knower song which has more similarities to ClownCore, to see how it all ties together. A better example may even be ‘It’s all nothing till it’s everything’. Either way, it’s all good, these people are sensational 🤘🏻

Totally agree, "Do Hot Girls Like Chords" is worth checking for Metal Heads. Or as you as it's Nothing until it's Everything. I'm a former classical bass player and that same albums title track is 100% string orchestra....and sounds like Mahler. Extremely diverse group. Amazing.

the drummer essentially leads any band he's with, and is great on drums, bass, and keyboard. Genevieve Artadi is the woman who sings with that jazz/pop unique voice. She and Louis Cole started Knower years ago. Top notch melodic musicians rotate in and out of the band. Watch other 'Knower videos. where an entire chorus sings along outside on the garage entryway out side, and a large orchestral group plays inside the house. These videos, and Clown Core's all emphasize it's all live, except for a very occasional tiny overdub lasting maybe a second or two. I think they make a point of not taking themselves all that serious, with self deprecating gags here and there, in all their videos. But the point is the music and they all are 100% serious about that. So far I don't get tired of listening and watching them in all their configurations.

100%. I haven’t checked out Clowncore’s live album yet but all the live videos I’ve seen on RUclips speak volumes. I’ll be sure to check out more Knower.

Knower is probably the sneakiest duo/group in music right now. The geniuses behind them are Louis Cole and Genevieve Artadi, and their sound is amazing. Sure, it may not be up your alley with this song, but their other songs like Do Hot Girls Like Chords, It's All Nothing Until It's Everything, and One Hope may be more to your liking.
They experiment with different genres, and they're not afraid to do any of them, whether it be jazz, funk, rock, metal, synthwave, drum and bass... they've done them all so far!
