Very talented girls, even if I have said this already. Check out their recently published song "My Type". This song he is already, I guess, three years old, was the song which put them on the map. One of the best intros and build up with this Japanese string instrument koto or shamisen whatever it was, which I heard for a long time.
Saw them in Brisbane. They are brilliant live. Check out "Otaku.."
👍👍Outstanding, total🔥🔥🔥. 🖖❤
Hanabie = "ha-na-be-eh" (pronounced with four syllables)
Yes, that remix destroys the entire atmosphere of Disturbed's "original" great cover. Really Terrible indeed! ( Reminds me of the techno-based remixes of the late 90s, only worse.)
lol
@@mykindofweird A commentary that is both intellectually and aesthetically valuable. Congratulations: keep it up, straight from the lmbic system to the "social" media.

When I read opera metal I immediately think of Nightwish, although that's more commonly referred to as symphonic metal. I can't imagine that you don't know them, but who knows. And they don't fall under the category of weird for me either. I'd recommend 'Ghost Love Score (WACKEN 2013)' Another symphonic metal band I would classify as rather weird is Dimmu Borgir. There'a great video of them with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and a bombastic choir. Quite impressive: 'Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse (LIVE - FORCES OF THE NORTHERN NIGHT)'.
Very familiar with Nightwish. Although I prefer Tarja era Nightwish. And yes very familiar with Dimmu. I ran, booked and promoted Daray’s drum clinic in Australia back in 2012.
@@mykindofweird Ohh I don't want to get into this religious discussion regarding Nightwish😉. It's definitely a great band. And cool the story regarding Daray’s drum clinic. And I just remembered another crazy Japanese band that definitely falls into the category weird: Maximum the Hormone (マキシマム ザ ホルモン or Makishimamu za Horumon). I can't decide which link to send you 😆: ruclips.net/video/IC-wDpwzEt4/видео.html
Very familiar with Maximum The Hormone. They were meant to play at Soundwave Festival in Australia many moons ago but unfortunately had to pull out. But because I expected them to play I listened to many of their albums up to the day. Great band!!
@@mykindofweird Yes, you're right. Great band. 👍 Ahh, and I see, you're not that easy to surprise. Challenge accepted 😀. What about Okilly Dokilly? American band that played "Nedal", named after their great role model Ned Flanders from The Simpsons. They are all dressed like Ned 😆 ruclips.net/video/2BEvh6HSQc0/видео.html
Coiler for life!!! as always, two perfect voices for an incredible gorgeous deep vibe 🤘
You should read the graphic novel the singer wrote for their albums, the story is super cool!
I’ll see if I can track it down.
These guys are so badass live, blow me away every time!
My 'reaction' about "Death Note". My journey with EOP: At first, back in late 2017 or maybe early 2018, I had mixed feelings of the band. I was then and still am a huge TOOL fan ever since "Sober" which as we all know, is nothing like EOP. Researching the band on YT, I watched "Mask" and was immediately hooked - it started a near-obsession. Margarita had a very raw yet powerful and confident presence about her. I needed more. After meeting her, Dave, John, and Nick back in late 2018 - seeing them perform live at a very small venue in LA - I knew then that EOP had a HUGE future. I offered and helped them load their van - I think it was Nick's (?) trying to get to know them. During that show, I attempted to record parts of it in hopes of posting one of their songs as a "live" video (with Margarita's permission of course). That attempt was complete failure on my end. It was hugely disappointing for me and my aspirations as a "photographer" back then. Despite my enormous failure, I hounded Margarita on FB offering pictures of the band - pro bono. I simply wanted to help them in any way possible. Of course, seeing such huge potential in them, I knew it could help me but that was - and never will be - the goal. I had a full-time job deeply rooted in the semiconductor industry as an optics specialist and now own a fabrication business out in Arizona. Months later, after that LA show, I received a message from Margarita; "Do you want to go to Iceland with us to help film "Face Of Fear?" (we did the aerial cinematography and some of the ground shots). Since that amazing experience in Iceland, my wife and I have worked with EOP at varying levels over the years on "Universe" and most notably, (for us) co-directing with Margarita and shooting "Fire". We spent some time with them during "The Unknown" which was my favorite EOP song until "Death Note" was released. At first, I 'liked' it... After three days of non-stop looping, I'm now convinced that "Death Note" is a new masterpiece - it will be realized years from now (opinion). There are only about five songs [ from any artist ] that I can loop for literally days or sometimes even weeks on end. "Death Note" made that list. Margarita is a highly creative genius in my mind and a dear friend. I love her as the sister I never had. She is also one of the nicest people I know - hands down. I love this band! Yes, I am biased, but also very honest with myself about it. EOP is so under-rated in my very obviously biased opinion. I hope you all can appreciate the raw talent coming from EOP. I know I do.
Cristina Scabbia is a self trained singer, never had a classic or opera singing training. In fact, she actually have a background as a dance music vocalist (in the early 90s, when she was very young).
i'd love to have your reaction on El Pony Pisador's cover of Santianna sea shanty, or their collab wirth The Longest Johns aka The Longest Pony, All For Me Grog or Miner's Lifeguard. And yes, their funnier clips like Hoist Up The Thing, Got no beard, The Llandoger or Moby Duck also deserve reactions...
Hey man, thanks for checking out Panzerballett 👍❤ Given your reaction, I am not sure if you liked it and if you wanna check out some more stuff of them. There is a version of 'Typewriter II' played with the NDR Bigband (big band of the North German Broadcasting Corporation): 'NDR Bigband feat. Panzerballett with Virgil Donati'. With all the brass instruments I find it even a bit crazier than this version🤪. You said it sounds like 'Meshuggah went Jazz'. In fact when Panzerballett does covers lots of people say they are Meshuggah-fying them. Their front man Jan Zehrfeld, who does most (if not all) arrangements and compositions, is talking of 'verkrassen', something like extremize ('krass' is the German word for extreme or blatant). All band members except for the drummer are all lecturers at high-schools/universities in Germany/Austria. Saw them twice in in Small Club in Germany and I'm looking forward to seeing them again this year. Jan Zehrfeld once told the story that he lets his guitar students play parts of 'Typewriter II': "It's always a lot of fun. ... At least for me. 😀" @gradypatterson1948 already mentioned Panzerballett's version of 'Take Five'. They play it in two different times all at once. The songs is more on the jazzy side and Sebastian Lanser plays a crazy drum solo 🥁.
Panzerballett's very non-traditional cover of Brubeck's "Take Five" is well worth the watch - there are a couple of live videos on RUclips: the one at Theatron Munich from 2013 has an amusing intro 🙂
Interesting one, but not something I will keep listening too. Thanks for showing us and sharing your reaction though,! Weird stuff is cool, and sometimes you will find something really unique and awesome.
No worries. Thanks for watching!

Ok, it's not your language and like many english speakers you say "war druna". It ain't. The "w" sound disappeared from the Scandinavian languages about 8-900 years ago, so it's "V" not "W" Wardruna is a composite word comprising of "ward" & "runa". Ward meaning beacon, cairn, guard/guardian, watcher, & runa meaning secrets So it's "Vard runa" meaning Keeper/Guardian of Secrets not "War druna" which is..... meaningless... Here endeth today's Norwegian/Norse lesson.
Worship 🙏🏼🤘🏼🔥🥰
I first saw this a couple weeks ago , I wasn't expecting it to be any good and only watched to see how bad it was but I was pleasantly surprised that these guys are actually pretty good . I wish them success . Rock on !
Sleep Token represent the spirit of the depth. Almost all other projects seem to represent the spirit of the time. To badly connect Jungian concepts. This band speaks to the collective unconscious. The aesthetic is meaningless, the tropes are meaningless… just listen. Connect… worship…
Bad Omens are not even close to Sleep Token musically, lyrically and most of all songwriting. Then there’s the emotive part…..
You're the first person I've seen who recognizes that "80s" feel witb that one guitar solo. It could totally be from a Queensryche album!
Exactly. How can you not hear it. It’s crazy!!
@mykindofweird AND it sounds great!
@@raoulduke8003 Hell yeah it does!!
Anytime I can say I've never been a fan of tool after being a metal fan and a musician since 1975
Well at 61 I love this band
Most people forget the covers they did of Killing in the name of and Heart Shaped Box, both are great. She was inspired by Chester, that's why she has gotten emotional on stage a couple times. Imagine singing one of your heros songs in his band under the situation concerning Chester.
Nothing wrong with changing your opinion. I think you need a bigger sample size before you make you overall decision. Bad Omens and Sleep Token are both phenomenal but both different at the same time. Can't judge the book ...
Thanks dude
One of the best performances ever. They are my favorite band of all time. I have been listening to them non stop for a month. They are incredible.
🔥🔥
I'm sorry but your voice is not made for reactions..lost me in 1st min
You didn't need to say anything like ,you would have been better off just not responding , And keeping negativity to yourself
I’m actually a professional singer who used to tour 330 days a year all of the United States in Canada and I can tell you this singer is the equivalent to a male Mariah Carey extremely few people have the ability that he has. He said that apparently you are more into metal singers, which are fine. They are singing more from their throat as opposed to their diaphragm, makes it sound darker, etc.. since that is more of a incorrect use of the throat it’s not something that you can do for decades because it will harm the singer physically. But yeah, those guys sound good also, I guess it’s just personal preference. They tend to be more positive. You can see it in their interactions, smiles, etc. so a dark more angry spirited type of voice wouldn’t really fit for them.
Bad Omens being technically better is wild 😂
😄
For twenty plus years, I'd heard a ton of music over many genres. Tool was always top tier for me. I heard this song in February of 2023, and it led me down a wonderful rabbit hole through their catalogue. I've listened to at least some of their songs every single day since. I've traveled to see them twice in concert, and I have a tattoo of them. I've occasionally read that people liken discovering Sleep Token to discovering a new color, and it's certainly true for me. I love them so much that other music pales in comparison (yes, they quickly knocked Tool from my 20 year pedestal). You'll see people like myself commenting the word Worship, and some people think thats cringe, but I dont care. I consider the term to mean "I'm gonna enjoy some great fucking music", so it brings me happiness. All of this drivel to say, I hope you check out more. The album this song is from is what I consider a true masterpiece in writing, vocals and production. Thank you for being honest about your prior experience with them, and I hope you explore more, videos or not. Worship ❤
Same here, I am a massive Tool fan and found these guys in February 2023 and fell in love, been to see them twice and they are incredible live. No tattoo yet, but I have many T shirts.
Definitely check out more stuff by them. None of their songs are alike, it's crazy cuz you never know what ST you're going to get with each song. They are beyond versatile.....they are magical musicians 😂. And Vessel's vocal range is just ridiculous. Hope to see more ST on here. Try their earlier stuff, i suggest The Offering, Higher, Hypnosis, Alkaline, Like That, And from this album, Vore and Chokehold, maybe just listen to the whole thing? Cuz it's like several different genres not only in one song, but on the album as well.
Their entire latest album is full of bangers!
Great reaction! I just love how creative Sleep Token are. Check out Take Me Back To Eden or Chokehold if you haven't yet
Creo que eres el único metalero estilo anticuado que no le gusta el remix 😆
Sorry, I like Bad Omens but Sleep Token are on another level of musicality
Same here, I like Bad Omens, but Sleep Token is top notch and imho the best band out there since years. Worship!
@@musikdolph Amen brother. Their discography is a gift from the music gods.
1000%!
Same. I like them both very much. But I LOVE Vessel
All good. If I couldn’t accept feedback I wouldn’t be creating videos.
This remix is dabomb!
If you're into wierd, and are from Australia, I suggest King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard. Dragon is a good song to start. Then watch Fishing For Fishies music video. It'll blow your mind.
Yeah I gave PetroDragonic Apocalypse several listens last year. They’re great. It astounds me that King Gizzard have come out of our country. You have no idea how much bands get stifled if they can’t be marketed to the pub rock crowd. As a lover of metal, post rock and prog I find it quite frustrating.
The best band Big band beautiful
ITS AN ABSOLUTE BANGER!!! Put it on your hifi & crank up the volume!
They write really catchy songs !!!
They do indeed
King Diamond is the GOAT! 👑
Saw King on Halloween Night in Boston. Be jealous ! King hasn’t missed a beat. And he sounds better than he has in a while. Quitting smoking has done wonders for his voice
Oh I don’t doubt it. I quit smoking about 6 years ago and it has done wonders for my health too. I used to go through a pack of cigarettes every two days.
I am jealous! King Diamond on Halloween!
🔥🔥
I was at Boston too. Did the Meet and Greet and Side stage package where we walked him out to the stage. We only got to be front row for the first 3 songs though but there's footage on YT of me up there on Andy's speaker. During Halloween, I'm the only person who has their hand on the speaker and you can even make out my King Diamond tattoo on my forearm. 😂
@@tapoemt3995that’s cool dude I’m glad you had a blast!
Hey my friend. Great REACTION. Please do APRIL ART - RODEO next time. another great german (female fronted) Metal Band. Greetings from Germany. Sani
Hey buddy, thanks for the recommendation. I’ll add to the pile.
That mix was done for the video by the bass player, Josh Gilbert, from the raw feeds. Which is just as well, because the FOH mixer really screwed it up.
Ah that’s a bummer. Were you at the show?
@mykindofweird No, but there are plenty of crowd videos. Tati's mic varies from inaudible to very quiet.
You were supposed to maximise the video! Couldn't you fix it in post?
I could’ve but it’s too late now. I already deleted the source file.
Oh hey, a TLJ reaction I haven't seen, nice! I kind of agree with you that this video is a bit boring, but the thing is, it's BECAUSE they had a bigger budget and an actual professional film crew! Their record label at the time wanted a more professional looking video, but I think it would have been a lot better if they had just done their usual silly and charming stuff. Check out Hoist up the Thing, The Llandoger, The Curse, Scrooge, Got No Beard, Skadi's Hammer, Hard Times Come Again No More, or The Last Bristolian Pirate for, in my opinion, way better videos. I would absolutely recommend going to see them when they go to Australia next year. I'm from Sweden, and I went to see them in Oxford earlier this year, and it was SOOOOO worth it! They're fantastic live! Their energy and ability to spread joy is incredible. I'm actually going to the UK again in February, to follow them and another band on a week long tour. And I'm not the only one going from another country. There will be at least a few Germans, a Belgian and one or two Americans too, going to one or several of those shows. The Longest Johns are a fantastic band in general. Amazing singers and amazing people. They're also really down to Earth, they're very close to their community, they remember individual fans they meet, they always make sure to let people come talk to them after their shows. There's a big risk for some emotional whiplash with their songs though. One minute they're singing about people drowning or freezing to death, and the next it's all about fighting a giant duck. They also sometimes do community videos, where fans film themselves singing along to a guide track, and then they edit it all together to one big videos with hundreds of faces and voices singing together. They actually have one of Wellerman, which had like 6500 people participating! I like that video a lot more than this one.
Oh, I forgot! If you like AC Black Flag, you might like their videos of singing along to the shanties in the game. They have a series of some actual gameplay, with one or two songs in each video, and also one video with all the shanties in it.
That's great love the Idles
