Michael Sweet actually has 8 original full length studio albums under his belt for his solo work. He is also the vocalist for 2 other bands, releasing 3 albums as the duo group Sweet & Lynch and 1 album with the band Sunbomb. The guy is one of the hardest working people that i know of in the music business and none of his work is weak.
Yes! I actually had forgotten about Stryper till I saw For King and Counrty including them in a song with them and Lacre. Then I had to go looking them up again and reliving (good)memories. Thanks for the information.
Been a Stryper fan since the mid ‘80s…awesome band! Great music and greater message. Older songs to check out: Soldiers Under Command, Calling on You, and Free (there are videos for each). Newer songs: Revelation (lyric video), Yahweh, Do Unto Others (video), Transgressor (Video), and their latest End of Days (lyric video). They also do ballads, check Honestly from 1986 (video). Enjoy! :)
Huge stryper fan been listening to them since 1986 I was 13 he is a great singer and they are the type of band Christian or not you will be praising God when you listen
STRYPER was my oldest son's very favorite band when he was in high school. Unfortunately, when they came to the town where we lived (tiny Porterville, CA), they pulled what everyone else thought was a FUN prank on all the kids waiting for them to show up at OUR small church, and led all of the kids around town, following their (very-well-known) van to place after place, before they finally parked at the correct place (on time, with a TON of kids following, who stayed for the FREE concert. Most of the kids had a blast, but Jim didn't have a lot of money to spend on gas right at that point (he was working at a drive-in restaurant, and didn't make a lot, and most of what he made, went toward fuel to go to WORK, and to pay for his own clothing and meals). So he got upset with the guys, and didn't go to the concert, and wouldn't listen to their music any more. Just a couple of weeks back, he told me that he had been listening to them again, and realized how silly he had been to "leave them," back then. I was SO happy to hear that! - - - - - - - - - - YES! Jesus is "THE ONE" that you can find in all sorts of other religions and mythological stories. 😀 Thank you, Tricia and Matt!
Michael Sweet actually has 10 solo albums. In addition to Stryper he also has two records with George Lynch (Sweet &Lynch); two records with Tracii Guns (Sunbomb); and one with the band Iconic.
I am glad to listen to you because you are very humble, their music videos, to hell with the devil, free, honestly, always their for you, solders under command
@@stephensanchez9590 to God be all the Glory and thank you very much that means alot! I am nothing without Jesus. God Bless and I'll definitely be reacting to more Stryper!
Check out transgressor. They are still cranking out hard music. Getting ready to start their 40th anniversary tour. Making better music now than their contemporaries.
Stryper- Yahweh is a real good one, it’s about the crucifixion of Christ. It’s one of the heaviest and the longest song they’ve done(over 6:00)Transgressor is one of the newest and heaviest songs. Great solos and his vocals are ridiculous in this one! The Valley, Do Unto Others, Sympathy, are newer. Soldiers Under Command, To Hell With The Devil, Free are the most popular songs from the 80’s
This was fun. I had stopped listening to them. Shamefully, because of my then circle of friends didn't like them. God took those people out of my life. He is good like that. Occasionally, God would bring one of Sryper's songs to mind. I would usually only hear part of it for awhile. The part He wanted me to focus on. Then He would bring the whole song to me and I would go searching for the album it was on. Many times, God uses music to help me overcome a situation. *Matt, As for what you can do for me, friend, nothing is necessary for me. The only thing I ask is that you keep your focus on God's heart for you and your family and what He wants you to do. That is also my prayer for you. Many blessings to you and your family
Tricia -- if you happen to glance through here again, check out what I just wrote as my own comment. It's about my son, and how HE stopped listening to them for a long time, too...kind of in the opposite position that you found yourself. He, too, though, is now listening to and loving them again (has been for the last couple of years, now, he told me recently). He's now 54 years old, divorced, and doing his best to keep in good touch with his adult kids, and to bring the Lord into their lives. Their mother did the opposite, over the years (sigh). Anyway...Stryper...YES! 😀
@@gametchangerI’ve heard rockers from back then say they’d make fun of Stryper with their friends but then go home and secretly geek out to them. World class musicians and man what a voice!
@@gametchanger They were, and still are, legit. They got made fun of, because of the WAY they presented the Gospel. The thing is...most of the people who made fun of them, were from traditionally-based churches, where the kids who went to those, with their parents, were beginning to listen to "Christian Rock," and THEIR parents didn't approve, so the kids did what they felt they had to do, and made fun of the kids who were "fan-girling" over the band, who purposely dressed differently and sounded different than most of the other Christian groups around, who were rather mealy-mouthed, generally speaking.

Roxx Regime/Stryper in the beginning with Yellow and Black Attack looked pretty silly, especially Robert's pose on the back of the In God We Trust album, C'mon Robert, Yikes! After they got rid of the bumblebee outfits/glam look after Against The Law then they had, for me, the metal look. To Hell With The Devil is their best album pre Against The Law for me. The Way and Surrender are great early Stryper! Yahweh, Divider, Do Unto Others, are great songs! I will admit in 1990 when I turned 25 I really started to get tired of the screaming and toned down a lot. In God We Trust is pretty good.
4:40 Buddhists (at least those who follow the larger Mahayana-branch) believe in future buddhas (such as "Maitreya") so there will be a "return" according to them (Buddha simply means "The Enlightened One" after all, its not a personal name) Not here trying to preach Buddhism (im not really a devoted follower because i dont really believe in reincarnation, although i respect many of their ethics such as the "Five Golden Rules") just stating whats on my mind I do think Islam speaks about Jesus returning as well (due its totally different from the Christian POV) He will kill all the pigs and "smash the crosses" (due to Christianity "turning him into an idol")
This was my favorite LP in the 80's, and still love it today!
