I just saw Pierre in Ann Arbor Michigan. It was probably the most incredible live music experience that I will ever witness in my lifetime. He is even rockin the same outfit that he wore when I saw him. I distinctly remember pajama pants.
His playing is so FREE and Open and all Heart. Its Fantastic, Creative, Unique and extremely Expressive. This is how one should play guitar. Stay away from Tabs and open your heart and just make a beautiful sound once in a while and you will understand what I am trying to say. It just feelsRight. Thank you for the Post.
One of the world's finest guitarists.
Thanks Pascal. *****
Fantastic... grazie for share Pascal
Amazing guitarist who writes the most incredible compositions. Thanks for sharing, Pascal. Looking forward to seeing him in person the next time he comes to town.
one of the best and most original voices ever...godblesshim
added!
Phenomenal playing. Thanks for sharing this video - an absolute treat.
His Lowden sounds absolutely stellar. As good as a Ryan is, I can see why he returned to his "Old Lady"...such a rich, full instrument.
THE first song I ever heard from Mr. Bensusan. It had a profound impact on me, as did his early music from Musiques, Solilai, Spices, etc. Even got see him live in a tiny little venue -- some basement in Manhattan somewhere, with only a handful of ppl there in the seats (this was the early 90's)...how amazing he was, how friendly he was, how humble. LOVE his music and always will.
He is not playing guitar
He is playing music!!!
Fantastic !!
Quelle jolie mélodie,Pierre, et quelle pertormance!: chaque note résonne à la perfection!
That's as good as it ever gets ... better! Beautiful piece, flawless playing.
marvelous! of all the fingerstyle-guitarists out there, he's probably among my top 3 of all time. amazing how effortlessly he performs even the most intricate songs like it's nothing. not to mention he composes those gems as well, haha :-) what can you say, really? he's just a true master of the craft (AND the instrument). very admirable!
Impresionante! gracias Qpidon por compartir!5 estrellas!
Thank YOU for sharing this Qpidon!
So much emotion in every note.
A very talented guy and a touching song x
Great performance. Thanks Pascal.
Outstanding!

Looking at his body language says it all. Such passion.
Saw him at Don Quixote's (Santa Cruz, CA) that year and since I'm French too we chatted and he asked me if he looked like a clown with his pants, I said I didn't know cause, well, I live in Santa Cruz now hahahaha
Pierre is the most accomplished musician, a master guitarist, a brilliant composer, a fine lyricist AND a fantastic vocalist!!!!!
WOW!
Thanks for the video!!!!!
Just beautiful, moving and lyrical playing and composing. A joy indeed. brings tears to one's eyes! How DOES music do that ??
merci Pascal, j'espère que ton rétablissement se passe bien. Amitiés ;-) André
Thank you Pascal and to Roeleke for sharing your video.5***** hugs,Jan and Susan.x
absolutely phenomenal
That performance made me cry and laugh at the same time. thank you Pierre. your music is beautiful and beyond
Never has there been another like him and never will there be. I don't know if he is the best guitarist in the world, (though he is certianly one of them), but he is clearly the best DADGAD player in the world (at least that I've ever heard).
I love this man's music and I deeply respect the type of person he is.
I reckon this guy is the best guitarist in the world. I'm even wondering if this might be the best tune!
Stunning rendition of the most beautiful guitar instrumental I've ever heard, by one of the finest players on the planet, in any age.
thx for the share.
a master at work and it so beautiful
A true Master of DADGAD. So inspirational!
Jens
I think also that he is getting better and better all-the time
Wow, this is so beautiful! I feel so good to listen to such a wonderful play!
I will share this one, just like my friend Qpidon did!
Roeleke
Thanks so much for sharing this.
From my heart: THANKS!!
Pascal
Pierre is not a guitar player...he is a true guitar composer.
Amateur! Okay, I didn’t really think any of you here would take serious note of my latter expletive. Seriously, I so enjoy his talent, and have had the pleasure of experiencing one of his concerts. I feel Leo Kottke has the best of any descriptions of Misère Bensusan e.g., “He is a treasure.” Enough said - enjoy!!!
Brilliant playing! Bravo! TY.
wow amazing, one of the most inspirational guitarists out there
i feel like youtube audio compressor kinda messed up the low end bass of this video. gah
Awesome piece, 5* A.D. :)) thanks for sharing Roeleke
excellent :-))
Luigi
pierre the best******
With &fmt=18 behind the url and than enter is the sound really so much better (and the vid too).
Amazing and soul-touching!
Wow, my friend, you share jewels!!! I will share this wonderful vid too!
Have a great weekend!
Roeleke
@Whizpig That's pretty cool, but let's not forget that Pierre put himself where he is today through his hard work and talent and without the help of record companies. I bought the book several CDs and saw him live on at least 5 occasions when he toured through the area. The guy is living proof that musicians can thrive on their own talent. He's worth spending a little cash everynow and then.
How come that you have so much difficulty with your words nowadays, friend? :-)
Despite of that, a great weekend and look and listen once more to this wonderful guitarplay!
It is really amazing!
For everybody a great weekend!
Roeleke
I agree that he's probably the best in the world. Subjective for sure, but hey that what 'comments' are for!
Its still there, but somehow slid into the back pages.
they took it off......
Looks like he's in his pajamas. Love this guy.
He really masters the dadgad
@Whizpig He produced a book many years ago and this is in it.
Interestingly enough, he's back to playing George Lowden's guitars. His newest archtop is a Greenfield, though.
great mate, this came on as i was doing the washing up.. i had to stop, watch, listen...
i'm not sure if that sounds like a compliment but ..
;-}
very impressive
A few musicians make all talk about technique and scales seem irrelevant. Thanks, Pascal.
@TheCompleteGuitarist Heh, I have actually figured it all out by ear now. :D
and Pierre was giving me grief over losing my hair ha!
phrasing is everything and Pierre is a live player meaning the music is the result of live expression not a canned interpretation
where is the alchemist video with the blue suit?
5/5. Todo lo compartido por Pascal es de esta categoría o mejor, aunque no debería adelantar el hombro del brazo derecho, es una mala costumbre.
Anyone knows if there are tabs around for this song?
Of course, easier said than done. However at any level all guitar players should spend some time with exploring the tonal qualities and the abundance of sounds this box with strings can make.
