    Was inspired to take cold showers for 90 days and now it's become a lifestyle. 3 main benefits i've learned:
    1. I get an instant energy boost and feel great throughout the morning. my body regulates to the temperature of the room and I feel more relaxed.
    2. I expand my comfort zone making obstacles throughout the day easier to overcome. This is essential to self actualizing and fulfilling your potential in life.
    3. I now have a new "friendly" relationship with the cold.. cold outdoor temperatures that used to bother me is now comfortable for me. I see it as a way to continue growing and expanding my comfort zone.
    .. there are way more benefits I've heard of such as fat loss, reduced inflammation, more testosterone for men but I haven't done too much research into those. just these 3 benefits alone are enough reason for me to make this a lifestyle.
    ... I'll prob take Wim Hof's course in the near future. Would love to see feedback if you've gone through it.

      In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth. He created humans too to have a relationship with Him. That's our purpose as humans that have a relationship with God. Sin, however, messed that up because it made us imperfect and imperfect creatures cannot have a relationship with a perfect and holy God. That's why we so oftentimes feel empty, unsatisfied and unaccomplished because we're not in relationship with the God we were created to be in a relationship with. But that's where Jesus comes in. Jesus is God's son and He came down to earth in human form to live the same life we do yet unlike us He never sinned. Jesus is perfect. Yet despite the fact He is perfect He died on the cross for our sins and sacrifice Himself for us. The punishment for our sins is death but because Jesus took that punishment for us if we put our faith in Him and receive Him as Lord and savior we can be reconciled to God and be restored to that relationship we were created to have. And we can be sure that Jesus is the Son of God because on the 3rd day God raised Him from the dead and in that He defeated death and the grave, proving that He can do the same for us if we put our faith in trust in Him. That's how you get to Heaven. That's how you become full in your heart. That's how you become reconciled to the God who created you.

    You have to get to the shivering stage to start the brown cell production process. If you can meditate through the shiver then it won't happen as much. Shivering is the trigger.

    • @renedaniels9195
      @renedaniels9195 3 года назад +1

      Research suggests otherwise. Research done on this subject shows that long durations of mild cold exposure are most effective to achieve this. We are talking about hours of mild cold exposure a day. A shivering stage is often reached when a person has a afterdrop. This is something people who do cold training in general try to avoid because it is awful to go through and non beneficial.

      Ease into it. You wouldn't go from never jogging a mile before to running a marathon would you(26.2 miles) no each day you chip away slowly. Each day just do it barley warm then start turning the handle just a little inch over each time. You will slowly taper into a cold tolerance. Before you know it your going to be dumping ice bags in going "ahhh" tips that help are DEEP BREATH big breathes dont hold breath. Also I start with my legs for a couple days only then I build up the courage to dip my upper body in.

      Too long, in my opinion, and yes, do not shiver for long in the tub. I do 1-2 minutes from 30+ to 40. 3 minutes from 40-50 and 5 min from 60 onward. The key is not how long, but how often. Consistency is important. Good luck!

    Started to swim in a very cold lake with a core protecting wetsuit. (Warmest water so far was 10c) Feel great, the muscle ache from my steel fitting and welding job is gone. Some skin problems and small splatter burns seem to have changed to the better. It's just been a week, everyday no matter the weather, just get out of the water after a bit when the pain is too great, never set a time limit, get out when you think "I can make it, do just one last lap by the beach" your done, go home...
