- Hi friends! Last week I stumbled across a reaction video to one of the two most popular videos I made, both of which were related to my lay off as a software engineer where I just shared my thoughts on it. Anton Daniels found one of those videos and reacted to it, but between his thoughts and the comments on that video, I didn't like the image that was painted of myself as a person
Posting to social media, particularly on RUclips, comes with it you opening up yourself to criticisms, and I accept that. But at the same time, my video here aims to set the record straight with some of what was said. Because there was a lot of missing context from the video he reacted to (my own fault but hey it is what it is)
I don't have any problems with Anton or his channel. He has some good content, and I respect his opinions. In this reaction video, I'll be addressing his points and giving you my perspective. I'd also hope to discuss it with him through some medium in the future. Whether you're a fan of Anton's channel or mine, I hope this video gives you a better understanding of my journey and the RUclips community

Just wanted to add a disclaimer that I didn't know Anton did any kind of tech work prior to filming this video. I made an assumption just like he did, and I was wrong, so sue me. I hope that doesn't take away from the overall message I was trying to get across. I'll be a bit slower getting through comments as I'll be without signal this week. the engineers making 250k+ are doing so in cities where they are often BARELY getting ahead (saving/investing) after paying all the taxes, rents, thefts, etc...
There’s no money in photography. Even digital camera companies are struggling with improvements in cellphone cameras. Maybe if you’re good enough, you can earn from contributing stock images which could just earn you pennies
This career is draining. I was in it for 22 years. You get the point where it feels like you're doing the same thing over and over, just changing tools every 5-10 years.
It used to be fun.

Just watched your interview with Anton, I think you did very well Paul. I discovered his channel about 2 years ago and been listening everyday in my work truck since. He can come off as abrasive but he's brutally honest because he genuinely wants all of us to win. He's not talking trash for clicks lol. I would recommend watching Aaron Clareys videos on how all jobs and all work sucks. Real wake up call.
I watched your video. It’s clear you didn’t like software engineering / programming. Both my brothers are software engineers. I can’t peel them off their laptop to join me in playing video games. Every free time they have outside their software engineering jobs, they are always working on personal projects or freelance work. It was very clear from your video you didn’t love that field before you went into it. I don’t know if I’ll classify you as lazy per se but as men we must sacrifice in our young years in order to have an easier old age. I am a registered nurse. I hated going to college for nursing but it was the guaranteed path to constant employment. 12 years so far as a nurse and my networth is in the 7 figures and I can afford almost anything I want. Today I’m much happier than I was when I was in nursing school and my earlier years as a nurse
Hey man. In both videos I emphasized the fact that I don't hate coding, I hate the interview process. They're two different things. I understand what we have to do as men, I've already done so through going to school for engineering and I WANT to continue the process. I'm just not sure that software engineering is gonna be the thing for me to bury my head in. That's it. But I'm glad to hear that you've done well as a nurse, and I wish you continued success with it

Jaul, this person ANTON DANIELS. Literally just "lift and shifts" other people's commentary and material, and passes it off as his own original content. . Last year, I mentioned in his live chat the importance of "employees bringing VALUE...". literally the next hour, he had a live discussing the importance of "employees bringing value". And he has been going off about the importance of "VALUE" , ever since. He never mentioned this before until I commented in the live.
I cannot stress how many times this has happened to me within the black_RUclips space "financial" OR "education" space. LITERALLY, these content creators will just lift commentary I place in the comment section or in their live chat, and pass it off as "original content". Some time in 2020, I quoted Jane Austen and mentioned that I am taking a quote form Jane Austen. That RUclipsr literally made 6 videos taking this quote and passing it off as his own. These are just a few example of the MULTIPLE times , my commentary is just BOLDLY PLAGIARIZED to the point, I stop commenting on these type of videos and live chats. Anton is just one of these many.
Also, last year he said he was a UX designer at a university. Now, recently, he uploaded a video, talking about how he was a "software engineer". The guy is just full of s**t and not to be taking seriously, as are many within this particular area of youtube. Just, like you said, he is a reaction channel with a bunch of random "stuff".
Nice video! I watch Anton's channel. We can only go off face value of the information that you share. I think you are also making assumptions about him that you believe he made about youl. He does work in tech. Learned software development in college and specializes in UI/UX. I'm pretty sure he'd be more than happy to speak to you on a livestream if your are interested. Most people are not going to watch all your videos for context on what you are trying to say; they will take the one that is going viral and comment on that.

Thanks for the comment. I did see he knows UI/UX but that was after I filmed this... Oh well lol. Still, that's a different game than DSA. And I reached out to him directly but didn't hear anything. I have no ill will towards the guy I'm just playing the content game, he made a video about me and I responded defending my name. Hopefully he'll respond at some point

Anton knows nothing about tech. He's a fraud who takes advantage of people on RUclips. He has already been exposed as a liar. Please don't worry about what he has to say.
@@jaulpanos it would be a great discussion. hope he see's your message. to add clarity, he see's a trend of genz folks posting vids complaining about working and it may have caused him to have this view of you guys as being a new lazy generation.
@@jaulpanos @Jaul Panos. Anton is NOT in tech. He just says these things. Do you seriously believe he knows a language? Furthermore, Anton already said that he did mortgages, prior to what happened in 2008. He says a lot of things. Just take it as a grain of salt. Anton, is not that bright. People, in his own comment section have touched on this. He just says things, he hears from others.

@@deltafox1 Anton doesn't seem to be a software engineer otherwise in the critics that he did to Jaul, when Jaul was explaining the boring thing about data structure and algorithm he wouldn't have said that he doesn't know what Jaul is talking about .. "oh he doesn't want to improve because he wants to do only his things that he knows .. "
It's enough for me to understand that Anton doesn't know anything about tech .. he should make a favor to everyone and stop the damn 🧢

You looking for fulfillment. You wanna do something that gives you fulfillment. Chasing money will never do that. Chase your passion. If you have a heart to help people. Help people. That will fulfill you all the days of your life.

I didn't know that prior to filming this video, I don't have a problem admitting I was wrong. Another person said he did UI/UX design which still is a different game than DSA
@@jaulpanos Anton is not a software developer, Anton is not a software engineer, as he just recently said in a recent vid. Last year he said he was "UX"...Anton just talks out of his azzz.

He literally just plagiarizes. @Jaul Panos, I am not sure if you are familiar with the person KEVIN SAMUELS. This guy became very popular on YT. He literally just PLAGIARIZED everything from a radio host named TOM LEYKIS, who used to be in syndication in the late 90s and early 2000s. None of these people are original or have an original thoughts; they just take from others and never provide sources / citations.
