Hi Janice, now that you went to all three popular hotel buffets (Harvest, Epicurean, Kent) what would be your order of preference? I am planning to take my parents out for a special occasion but I can’t decide! The last time I went to Harvest (3-4 years ago the quality wasn’t the greatest and more asian felt).
Went I went to the Langham, i wasn’t able to wander around and get my own food (because of covid) and everything was brought to the table… so for me if I had to rank it; it’d be epicurean, Langham and harvest

Yorkshire pudding on its own? Never! If its eaten as a starter it is covered in a rich gravy, but it's at its best eaten as part of a full roast dinner. BTW, I'm from Yorkshire and living in York.

Such a lot of money for semi ordinary/some good food. I think you should go back to sampling those meal deals and they would be substantially cheaper and even doing some vids on Darling Square which I only discovered Sunday which I was amazed by or even the spice alley at Chippendale

Once you have developed your taste for fresh raw fish, you can not enjoy cooked fish like before. Sushi and Sashimi is so much better. Deserts looked so good!
Nice review of the buffet Janice, definitely doesn't seem worth the $130 price tag although the seafood did look great. The Harvest Buffet @ The Star reopened on the 10th June and they do an extensive seafood buffet Thurs-Sun for $89.90 Now that you have done the Crown Casino Buffet you should do the Harvest Buffet at The Star to compare the two.

Melbourne Langham buffet seems to be better and cheaper $115 pp. their cooked food was simple Roast though... Sashimi and fresh seafood Melbourne looks bigger and better.
AUD$130 is a lot of money to spend on a buffet. In New Zealand, you get similar great buffet like Queenstown Skyline for less than half the price. Sydney is a great place to visit had such an enjoyable time there, public transport is A+ too (the trains). Tried a waterfront fish n chips for AU$20, best and healthiest fish n chips and they prep it so fast too. Average wait time in NZ is 6-10 mins. Sydney... 3-4 minutes!
Could you please lay to rest what "bug" refers to??? I'm wiggin' out over here. I was thinking crab, but then you referred to crab and bug in the same dish. We have things here in the US that are referred to as "mud bugs" which are translated into langostinos, craw dads, or cray fish. The are fresh water versions of their cousins... crabs and lobsters. What are they to you. The term bugs and food just DO NOT go together do they??

Buffets are great if you want a minimum carb feed

You can order as many times as you want. It’s like a buffet except because of covid, they have temporarily changed it to a buffet to table style
