Clever little stand Dan 👍🏼
I like the addition of the drawers personally
Thank you so much mate
Love the addition of the draws, great work Dan
Thank you so much mate, was a fun build :)
I'm in the planning stage for my bike table, this has given me some great ideas, thanks Dan!
You’re welcome my friend 😀
ABSOLUTELY BAD ASS
Love this channel, I'm gonna be doing my 1st project next year on a 1982 motoguzzi v50 mk3, and will be using a few of your videos for reference and guidance 😀. Great channel and great projects. Thanks for sharing your skills
Very cool, and looks relatively easy to build. If I had the room in my garage I would definitely be building one of these.
You could make one that folds down flat, just be sure to build it strong.
Perfect timing mate. I've been building one like this on paper for a while. Your vid helps a lot!
That is amazing. I hope it all works out, planing definitely is a good place to start
Great timing! I was about to make a simple one and use my ramp but this one is so much cooler thanks so much!!
Perfect, definitely recommend the tilt-top :)
@@CafeRacerGarage yes sir! That and I might add rubber or something to make it non slip I'm not planning on adding casters, the storage space is definitely a must!
You have some mad skills, Dan! Hope all is well there. 🏍👍🏍
That looks sick Dan. Perfect for my CG. Would you happen to have any plans or a cad or something you could share?
Unfortunately I didn’t do any drawings of it I just built as I went which is how I do most things
Great job 💪🤙👍 I have to maneuver two bikes into a little garden tool shed 😂
Nice work mate, initially when you said you were using pine I had my doubts, but it turned out great. Im really looking forward to the virago build as I am in the progress of my own '81 750 build.
Thank you mate 😊
perfect, I'm about to start a K100 build so this will be good to keep me on task while I get some more funds together
Excellent job Dan, looks great mate, and now I have to go and buy two more tools LOL. Ride safe. Cheers
Thank you so much mate, he definitely won’t regret buying these tools ;)
Well done Dan! And some very handy tips. You're a good man!
Thank you so much mate, I grew up around woodworking from a very young age so stuff like this is super fun for me. I find working with timber to be very therapeutic and I might end up doing a bit more of it on the channel.
@@CafeRacerGarage Good idea 👍
Fantastic ... Thanks for that!!
Looks great big fella. That top might be abit of a handful with wet tyres but hahah. The storage is awesome!
Yes you are not wrong. It’s definitely not the perfect solution but it is a solution. 😮😆
@@CafeRacerGarage my solutions rarely are perfect 😂. 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Pretty cool bench sir. Cheers 4 sharing.
Thank you mate :)
Nice build. I would be tempted to put 2 d clips on the side so you can use some ratchet straps to hold the bike as well when moving it.
Thanks mate and yeah you do have a great point there, I do have a few modifications to do it but at the moment I’m using a rear wheel bike stand so that’s nice and secure as… Back wheel up
Fantastic!
Nice moto rack. We're about to build a new work bench. If we didn't buy locking swivel casters, we would probably take you idea.
If I was to build it again I would definitely use steel for all the moving parts just for long Jevity.
Nice idea.
Essa ficou braba meu parceiro
Looks 👍
Nice!!
Hi, great Video. Thank you for sharing this!! Can you please tell the Height of the Table ? How did you find the pivot point?
AMAZING WORK! I need to get me one of these eventually xD
The tilt top is the way to go, 500mm off the ground is good if you are tall, get an old office chair to go with it for the lower stuff :)
@@CafeRacerGarage Yeah, I use a little stool for working down lower :)
Rad dude 🤙
Very nice! Thanks for sharing. Just one question, you trust those 2 bolts to carry the weight of a motorcycle while hinging? After prolonged use, are you not afraid one will snap?
Thank you so much mate, Those bolts are 13mm or 1/2 inch I would be more worried about the integrity of the timber then I would about the bolts.
Hi handsome. What a functional motorcycle lift. I love it.Would you consider selling it,or building one for sale? Thanks
I gave this away late last year
Me saludas??
Thanks for the inspiration Dan. Can you tell me are you happy with the wheel chock, and if so, where did you get it? Thanks in advance.
No worries I got it from an automotive place called Supercheap
I think I've heard of them 😂😂😂.
Thanks mate.
Nice video, buddy. How’s Queensland, hope everything is getting better with these floods
Thank you mate, yes I’m ok where I am but some people got hit hard
I'd like the front wheel chock on a ratcheting rail lock it at the bottom of the ramp and ratchet up.
??
Awesome. I am just looking to design my own bike table and i really like the idea of this design. I might go a bit more simple as I don't need the wheels and it can stay in one place. How hard is the drop back down with the bike on it? I am a bit worried about the weight.
Yeah you have to get a bit of a run up to get the bike on, but apart from that, it works perfectly
It’s actually a World War II design
@@CafeRacerGarage Awesome. One last question..I'd like to be able to get a bike in from either end as I have a long garage and bikes can come in either end of that.
Is your pivot point right in the center so it could swing both ways? Or should it be offset from the center?
Couldn't help but notice you are in Queensland, I have a XJ600 SECA II UGLY, I have had some work done and have plenty of parts (no engine work needed), I was going to do the work myself, but time is an issue, can you recommend someone to complete my project, might make a good series, ugly duckling to a beautiful swan
And why buy one when you can make a real sick looking fit for purpose one . As soon as you said about the screws I thought needs bolts .. great video as always Dan thanks
Thank you Gary, yes it definitely needed bolts, if I was to build another one I would definitely make more steel parts especially the wheel mechanisms.
I like the sneak peak at 8:44. :)
Edit: spelling
Haha SHHHH 🤫
Do you have a set of plans for this?
Do you have the blueprints?
Nice… so I just ordered 2 sizes of those aligning punches 🤣🤣👍🏼. Totally your fault 😬
That's awesome, you wont regret it :)
Can I get the measurements of the wood used?
I would love to but I gave it away on my Instagram you can see the guy I gave it to, he might be able to give you the measurements
Sweet now less carpentry more bike building daniel 😛
Haha 😂
Good video but not great…. A lot of time on the build but …WAY..too little time on 1) getting the bike up and in place and releasing it from your hands….and…. 2) reversing the process / getting the bike back down…
And…. Not enough time spent showing the completed wheel mechanism.
Because the basics are easily figured out by the individual, with half a brain i will admit.
