One thing to add, unless I am missing something, this only really applies if you already have one of those units. Presently, the unit he is bolting down with cost close to $45 and the Packout mounting plate cost close to $30.
So, it's not a "Packout"... it's a pack where it's at ... and can't move dat. There are plenty of less expensive stacking options that provide more storage if you're just going to fasten it in place.
Kinda find this rediculous if your buying a packout system it’s for the modularity & with all the accessories such as the feet it’s simple to have best of both worlds.
maybe this idea does not apply to you but for other contractor this could be a good idea if they don't want to buy the bulky plate holder, like in my case i did not have room to install the Milwaukee mounting plate so that's why i came out with this idea
Love the simplicity and how useful it still is for roughly the same price as a mounting plate. You're a good guy
Love this idea. And for the price difference it's totally worth it
I totally agree!
The modding community for packout is super cool
wow thats way cheaper and more useful than buying a dedicated mounting plate!!

If you only need the security, organization. and toughness, but not the portability then this makes a lot of sense.
The small packout crates like shown here really must be killer for electricians and low volt guys
oh! a PackSTAY
