    Love the creativity but there's so many easier 3D printed mods that do this without drilling into the box or cutting up a perfectly fine mount. Joey Packible front mount is a beast. Just got one.

    There are so many options of after market mounts that do this, they are cheaper than a milwaukee plate, that's a waste of a plate

    • @08Biatch
      @08Biatch 3 года назад +2

      The plate still works the exact same after modification... maybe you didn’t catch that part. I have done this mod and my plate works identical to my other unmodified plate.

    • @footlongburrito
      @footlongburrito 3 года назад +3

      @@08Biatch do you know anything about business or structural integrity? Just because they still can clip in doesn't mean the plates can still hold as much weight as the full plate, if milwaukee was able to shave off that much area/ plastic from the mounting plates and have the same specs. They would have done that themselves and saved money and charge the exact same price. That's business

    • @08Biatch
      @08Biatch 3 года назад +2

      @@footlongburrito ....I just said that the bracket still functions after modification, because people were saying that the modified bracket would be “ruined”. I don’t know who is claiming it retains all of its original strength. I would bet money it’s maximum weight capacity is reduced, but I doubt by much. My modified bracket is holding my full packout socket set, vertically in a wall mount positions. It’s the heaviest item I ever have use for hanging from a bracket. Fact is if you wanted to you could add some more bolts to the bracket and probably end up making the modded bracket hold weigh more then a stock bracket using only it’s original anchoring points

    Ignore all these comments about how you can buy this or that. Keep up the great work! But if I could offer some advice. You do an excellent job with your videos, but if you would do an intstructable, or similar walk through on your plans and the dimensions for things like your drilling template, it would make things far easier to replicate. I had to pause your video over and over at different times just to try and get glimpses of different angles of the finished product, In order to fine tune the placement of my “plate”. Enjoying your content and looking forward to moreThanks again!

  • @irishsavage8715
    @irishsavage8715 3 года назад +4

    There’s a company that already makes these mounts and you don’t have to cut up a mounting plate, not to mention if you put tools in that mounting plate it won’t hold shit, the aftermarket mounts you can buy are solid instead of being hollow cavity

    • @toolboxtransformer9735

      hi RiseKeyk , i am a trade plastic welder , plastic printed is good to a point , most printed parts a made of ABS, PLA or PVC which all brittle plastics and layers fusion change the plastic molecules so more likely to break when it's a mechanical part like this one. that's why all the packout are made of POLYPROPYLENE and POLYCABONATE, these 2 PLASTICS will resist to most impact or colder weather. Here is jackofall web site store.jakeofall.com/ Here is a PACKIBLE system all made of aluminum very strong www.packibletool.com/products/joey-rolling-packout-48-22-84-front-mount-bracket-kit

      hello everyone, , i do all my research before doing major modification on tool or toolbox, all Milwaukee packout are IP65 only so this said , it mean dust proof and water resistant not waterproof as IP68 are, so with all the holes i am doing in to them it will not really change the IP65, but yes you could put rubber washers. here is a link for all IP info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Code
