- This story is actually part 2 in the "Rams of Peace" saga
In this scenario, we found the Majapahit Empire by conquering our previous overlords - the Singhasari, as well as driving off the Mongols back to China. The gimmick in this scenario is that you must claim villages to secure additional pop space (by destroying/defending towers). Also, don't forget the free upgrades and Imperial Age siege units!

Ehh... the word "Indonesia" didn't exist by the time that this story happened. The word that the people of Majapahit would've called the archipelago at that time would've been "Nusantara".
They use that name eventually in the campaign ;)
And this scenario is why we never heard of the Mongols existing in the region
As an indonesian the dialect they use is pretty accurate with what we use here i think the devs use real indonesians as voice actors

It's a shame you don't start with those initial battle elephants anymore. I used to just use them and the starting karambit warriors to get to the Kediri asap and then build a wall to block their trade carts from getting in, then focused on the Mongols. Haven't been able to do that anymore

Actually this stage must be so epic. When Mongol train cannon and help Raden Wijaya defeat Kediri.
And then Raden Wijaya betray Mongol. :v

Funny story OrnLu: I played this on HD. And researched all of the infantry/Archer techs, then I found out there were camps which provided you the techs. I told myself next time I'm playing, I will certainly not waste any resources on researching these techs. Then when I replayed this for DE hard medals, I researched everything again. SIGH

Some modern Indonesian tried "to make him muslim" by spelling his name "Haj Al Mada or. Gaj Ahmada"😃 btw The Cutscene mentioned Arya Wiraraja not Raden Wijaya , Arya Wiraraja was the Adipati(aduke) of Sumenep
Hi Ornlu, thanks for this walk-through. I always feel comfortable on hard. But I don't know why, for the second time in a row (with a break of about one year), I couldn't make this scenario work. I threw so much gold at teals castle and when green and blue attack, I'm spent and once they take the towers back, I'm so tilted from the loss of population. The way this scenario works is particularly challenging to me. I guess using the trebuchet will go a long way. :)

There's a big island in the middle of the river on this map with gold and stone on it.
Also, always make use of Malay fishtraps. Infinite food so you can afford less vills on wood. Personally I like this campaign, it puts a lot of emphasis on how spammable and cheap Malay units are.
And FYI, you definitely can put docks at your main base.
Since for some reason in this scenario and the following one there is a Malay player who likes to use Cav archers, it made me wonder why does the civ lack the Heavy upgrade? After all if they did get it they would be identical to Ethiopian and Byzantines ones, which aren't OP as far as I know.
Horse is bad so Mongol lost.
Idk for sure, but my guess is because it gives the civ a bit more of an identity as "the really crappy cavalry, but cheap infantry" civ. I personally don't think they need it - like Vikings, they are usually perfectly happy with fully upgraded arbalests.

Yeah this is the hardest mission in all of age of empires confirmed. I’ve never played a mission so bullshit in my life
For Malay Warrior why not create "Pendekar" use "Keris"(shot knife)

Plus, Mongols Army has invited in East Java and the leader by Kubilai Khan

And you get a Castle too. At least at the medium level.

Edit1: You're right. Malay war elephants suck. Persians they are not. Thankfully, they're cheap though.
Edit2: An interesting twist on this would be using Monks to convert enemy elephants.
I did just that. Mass monks. Also found an island full of gold, enough to fund Ukraine. So easy to click on the elephants to convert.

The campaign had changed
This is the most worthless mission I've played so far - endlessly stuck in tug of war with the Mongols, something I cannot win, as they continously spam dozens and dozens of horse archers that I have nothing to counter with. After two hours of senseless fighting that went nowhere I've capitulated, as I don't have infinite resources as the enemies have. I guess if you're not fast enough, the mission breaks and is just impossible to win.

Very easy mission. SO....ally with the mongols, they will betray you once you defeat one of the other enemies unless you do what i did, wall off blues only means to cross over n attack, build castle, once you have a strong enough military, grab the treb n siege rams, then go and change green from ally to enemy. I figured theyd react butttttt..they didnt, the ai just sat there and let me destroy him. Kill his castle n town center, then green turns over EVERYTHING to you including villagers n any towns he took. Killed cyan effortlessly n blue was weak from green attacking so i just finished thrm off. To ez.

Send Petard to the Mongolian Castle when we form an alliance with the Mongols. let the mongols change their status from allies to enemies... then destroy the mongol castle using petard... a dialog will automatically appear if the mongols leave Java and the mongol base becomes ours...

Ive watched probably half of your campaign videos at this point. EVERY time your heater comes out, yea you can here a little sound but honestly, i dont think anyone ever has heard it and been like wtf? Im not watching this video!...i know i literally have never once cared, but you always big deal it and have to say somthing which is much more disruptive and at this point, annoyong than the actual sound the heater makes could ever be. Irony.
