    Other than getting the hose connector turned around (watch out for that one), the machine is simple to put together and use ruclips.net/user/postUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP . And very nice, too. I'm surprised at the power-it's more than we'll ever need, and we've not even used the most powerful setting yet.I've cleaned off a dirty concrete porch to get it ready for sealing, started to clean siding, and I know this pressure washer will be terrific for cleaning tools this fall.The only issue we had is we had turned around the hose connector, and it leaked. Once it was on correctly, though, we had no problems with the connection. Just remember that the end with the green knob goes towards the hose. It's obvious now what we did wrong, but not necessarily obvious at the time.

    Here one for you. A friend of mine runs Hawk pumps, XLT2230 & number of XLT2730 all rated at 4350 psi for drain cleaning - never operated with a pressure gun or valve - its all remote start with so there should never be any spike pressure. The pumps have been purchased years apart so will be from different production batches. On the XLT2230 he has blown the cap/plugs on the 'Low pressure intake side' & on the XLT2730 this has happened 6 times - its just one plug that blows out at a time, not necessarily in the same location. The thread is nearly ripped flat & on 4 of the plugs the sides are ripped open like paper.
    The pumps are fed by a large water tank, with low water cut out, 32mm (1-1/4") feed hose & the tank has never been down low when this has occurred. f he runs a threading tool back through the head where the cap blew out of & then installs a new plug the pump carries on running as nothing had happened.
    Do you or anyone have an idea how the intake side plugs can blow out like this instead of the high pressure side, especially given there is a 32mm feed hose plumbed into the low pressure side so you would expect any back pressure to just go back up the feed hose to the tank.
    The supplier claims they have never seen this, almost as if they don't believe it & they but can't provide any thoughts on how this can occur. It happened again this weekend & I suspect whatever is going on is repeatedly happening, wearing down the plugs threads over time & eventually it blows.
    I would love to hear anyone out there's thoughts.

    You should always blow & suck on the check valves when testing them. If you can suck air through them they are not seating down fully. And as a pro tip never use an impact to tighten bolts even just loosely. If you tighten them down too fast the check valves can get crooked in there and ruin them as you tighten them check valve caps down.

    • @AllAboutPressureWashing
      @AllAboutPressureWashing  3 года назад +3

I replaced my cart, even replaced my old AAA pump that went broke and with the new Comet 4000psi 4gpm pump and skid mounted on truck my hoses are vibrating as fck. Already checked the check valves and orings like u said on video, they are fine. Do you think switching to 3/8 hose will help? Do you have any vibration problems with 3/8 and 8gpm 3600 psi?
