In 2016 Within Temptation performed at the 013 in Tilburg (NL), as part of their annual "Black X-mas" show. This is 'Black No.1 (Little Miss Scare- All), officially written and performed by Type O Negative.

Love TON and WT, nice to see bands when they pay tribute to each other. I like that WT did the song in WT style and not just try to imitate. Because of female vocals, it had to be different anyway - but it's still a great job. End of Green do a good cover of this song too. Hope TON never die !

This is one of these songs, I listen to in the middle of the night (see what I did there!), when I‘m just lying in my bed or taking a shower while I‘m already tired but not tired enough to sleep. I have to say it‘s just the best song(cover) for these nights. I LOVE IT! And this is probably making no sense because I‘m tired...

I have to say... though it's my first time hearing their cover of it (yes, I know, *extremely late to the party* )... I don't care much for it, until they reached the chorus. After that point, they pretty much "killed it".

Saw them in concert 3 times. Best band and Sharon is awesome for having no vocal training. Ruud offered me guitar lessons via Skype. I was quite impressed he personally responded to my comment on an IG post .....👍👊 Saw Nightwish once with Tarja- she still is Nightwish for me with her epic vocals but is better solo. Floor? Eh .......

Love Within Temptation, love Sharon's voice but think song is too raunchy a theme for her angelic tones. Was enjoyable though to see their version.

This is the best song I've heard from WT in a few years! Impressive cover - and they really hit the dark ambience of the original, and even their own sound from yesteryears :D I would love to hear it with Sharon's high pitched voice from the Enter/Mother Earth days and not with her new pop voice, though...
TON Covered their own song the best. This song is untouchable by anyone but TON.

As a huge fan of TON I think nobody can cover TON songs. I will always be desapointed even if WT is one of my favorite bands. Sorry, no one can get to Pete's level.
Alright, Peter's level is quite a different approach. TON were never symphonic, but gothic/doom; never had a soprano front woman, so what's the point of comparing two excellent and very different approaches? It seems like you're just bitter there are Type O Negative's cover songs being made, and while some of them may be bad due to a lot of aspects (not this one, I think it came out pretty well for that performance), they're still showing how much the group has impacted other bands. How Peter Steele's, Kenny Hickey's and the rest of the band's legacy is quite alive and how much respect they gained.
They are not a gothic metal band.

Mmmm.... She had a hard work finding the right pitch sometimes, not out of tune, but she seems uncomfortable by singing some parts of the song.... 1:59 - 4:44 - 4:55 - 7:11....

Yup, her voice takes away the dark and sensual atmosphere. I don't perceive the same aura, it appears as if she's just hitting the notes without anything else.
As a major Type O fan, I don't like this at all, worth a view out of curiosity though, WT are a great band still :)
I feel the same. Its one of my favourite songs of all time. WT is also one of my old time favourites. But the two don't go well together. Like Steak and Chocolate kinda thing.
