  • Salobra River in the Pantanal wetlands, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Recorded in March 2020. Unfortunately, the previous wet season was very short, with little rain. As such, the water level was low and the current very strong, lifting up debris and clouding the water, making it hard to film or produce clear images, so I apologise for the poor quality of this video.

I love how you video the beauty of nature in the most simple and real way. As much as we try to imitate in our aquariums the real thing, Mother Nature just as she has always been is the actual real deal - way beyond human imitation.

É impressionante a diversidade d peixes q vivem em apenas um Rio.
It’s amazing the diversity of fish species living in one river. I’ve floated in the rivers of Bonito, (Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil). It was a magical experience

I think you are referring the green algae blankets? I'm afraid I do not know the species, but it appears mostly in dry season when the water is shallow and there is lots of sunlight.

Whats the story on invasive tropical fish? There is a channel from Brasil where he catches wild Betta's..in Brasil. Tiger Barbs, and even aquarium strain Angel fish in the drainage canals and cow ponds. Have you seen any invasives make inroads? A Clown Loach- swim by you?
