Most excellent Alex. Greatly enjoy this type of videos. Knowing more about our fish, history, trade, and environment are a benefit to all. Just hope with all the renewed illeagal mining it doesn't destroy anymore waterways. Hope all has been good at your end, and your tank looks AWESOME!!! Thanks Alex. 👍 🎄🎅
Hey! I just discovered your channel and I'm delighted with the information! I have wild records and even being in Brazil, little information and few materials we got! Thanks for the information and the channel!
I'll look forward to ur videos like i always do... specially the one on ur tanks at the background.... look at that 6 feeter... i hope they come soon.... the documentary is awesome as well
Love it Alex, I always look forward to your updates. On a different note, I swear I had you as a automated phone options recording the other day. 😁 "Hmmm, that voice is super familiar. I have heard it talking about fish..."
From the comments I've learn , you are - Alex . So , hi Alex from Alex ! It looks like you have an experience of working as a teacher , otherwise I can't explain your perfect diction . The video was nice done , but with unexpected , honestly surprises showing some fishes [ discus , angels ] with fin rot and little holes above an eye [ discus ] . I've learned with my fish , that only week one's can not tolerate the environment , where they live . So , logically , I would not take those guys who are already wick from their own habitats and put them in our [ swamps ]. Whatever the best we will do , they are still wick . Some fishes are amazing , how to get them ? I will buy some .
Great video I breed Discus and Angels, I would love some of the wild striped varieties of Discus. Striped Discus are almost impossible to find. Any link to purchase some, even though Discus are the ultimate _insert cusswords here_ of SA Cichlids, I love them.
if you want to see a live arapima contact ohio Fish rescue and talk to big Rich or josh and you might be able to swim with brutus the arapima, in their converted pool by the pond guy and the pond professor. You can follow ofr on youtube petty much daily. They are a nonprofit large and community fish rescue. They also have a small goldfish pond out front of the house and a huge koi pond out back.
@@keepmoving.3043 some aquarium trade fisheries use dangerous fishing methods such as cyanide (these are mostly saltwater fisheries though), using nets can be stressful for the fish but it is the least dangerous/harmful method. Also the amount that they take from the wild is no where near enough to do damage to any wild fish populations. Fish that are caught for aquariums are the minority, most are caught to eat and those are much less humane and are often detrimental to the fish species/environment. So, aquarium related fish collecting isn't something to be worried about, it's the food industry that is harmful.
Today I learned 2 things: Superman produces documentaries and about fish.
Intelligent and sensitive research, beautifully produced and very informative. Love this, and can’t wait to see more!
It’s great to know that wild caught hobby fish is being done sustainably. Videos like this make me a more knowledgeable hobbiest.
Dear Alex, every video you make brings us a breath of fresh air (or water?). Thank you :)

Beautifully researched!!! Keep up the good work! Best of luck
Very cool👍
Thumbs-up 👍🏿💯
2:01 anyone know where those angels are collected?
In areas similar to the discus and sometimes together. Manaus is on the Rio Negro.
Hi how to reach this place ?
Can u name the export facility??
do you know how you can buy them from the place?
they are exporters, you can't buy directly from them. The exporters are suppliers for aquarium stores.
I always wanted to start a wild discus selling business but I have no clue where to start 😞😞😞

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ Super Tolle Fische 👍👍👍
i like the idea of the money staying local, but i wish they would invest in the families breeding the fish instead of wild catching them.
but it doesn't hurt the wild population?
When you said Amazon, I thought you meant the company
In Indonesia, we breed all of the fish
You can deliver the fishes sri lanka
Is that legal???? I don't think so
yes???

South America arapima north America bass Africa tiger fish india goonch catfish uk pike and ocean great white shark
So much for downsizing to a single aquarium.
Poor fish taken from their wild habitat
Fish in the wild get eaten and killed and are riddled with diseases and parasites, so captive life is much better
Rich people's
Stop spoiling the environment.
???? These are the most sustainable fisheries and they do not harm the fish population.
@glub9075 , if you say that, It could be truly. Otherwise the video It show a possible harmful catching.
