    Sir 2nd sampling time we added 3% of water then 3 rd 4th 5th sample we added 3% or more more water

    Sir by proctor method can we find the omc and dry density of paver mix or this method is only limited to soils .

      Testing in laboratory is costing but Better.
      It all depends on your tender specifications.

      For claly soil you can start from 8%,10%,12%,14% respectively

    for second compaction you added the water 3%more whether this 3%should add for the particular portion weight or for the whole weight of the sample?

      It doesn't matter bec , after completing the test you are going to calculate actual water content for each trial using oven drying method.

      +Clearence Clearence He added 8% water to the dry soil at the very beginning. For the 2nd compaction they added 3% more water - 11%.
