Are the Freewell ND filters that much better than the ones that come with the Air 2S Fly More Combo direct from DJI?

I think so...The filters in the Fly more serve their purpose, but I think the Freewell is better glass. Also, in rhe fly more you only get 3 filters that in most cases you are not likely to use a Because it's not dark enough or it's too dark.

Is the rotation on the ND-PL filter only to set whether in Horizontal & Vertical mode, or do you have to mess around getting the correct polarisation setting? i.e. is the setting optimised and fixed for each mode?

There aren't any cpl filters available for these. I guess it's possible to rig something to the lens. Wouldn't recommend it though.

Somehow I found out nd 64 isn’t dark enough for 1/50 because the lens is f1.7. I had their brand in mavic 2 but for mini 3 I need nd128 256 more often for daytime

I never said that. Also, I explain in the video the sole purpose of an ND Filter, which is to produce motion blur. The LUT shouldn't matter.
