I actually love Brave Gullveig - it's like she's newly born from Seiðr, still wearing her clothes but the remnants of that identity (the weird floaty wrap) burning away. Its really fun, visually.
No clue what that braid (???) seems to be though
If I has to guess then I think the reason for the braid might be a reference to both Nerthuz and Heithr; the former is due to how she tried to help Seithr and the Askr heroes and the latter is as a way to “never forget [Heithr]”.

Ask and thou shall receive, this isn’t me going to be snarky commentator but I understand why you guys may be unsold on her since at a glance she doesn’t have much going on. Alright so just to give context I have an idea of what I know I am talking about I’ve gotten Rank 1 on Astra and Chaos season a few times. I can not stress how powerful a ranged galeforce is this make her an amazing initiator on galeforce teams and the fact this is tied to a B skill and not a special makes it much easier to pull off than Legendary Leif as his special can be put down by scowl effects on dragons and in general just getting the cool down of his special can be tough since most of the time Leifs won’t want to run S drink. Another point she has over leggo Leif as well is the fact she has a first hit of 60% DR and full null follow up this will let her survive a whole bunch of combats she really shouldn’t be able to and will let her allies warp in as a wings of mercy beacon much easier. Also the gravity on Gulveig can be a non issue due to warping of oath 4 or if her other friends coming in after her to finish off all the enemies it won’t matter if she can only move one space.
Another thing that is extremely powerful as well Snek has access to in her weapon is the fact her speed based true damage works on AOE specials if you can get that special ready to go she will have no issue killing most enemies and crippling the rest of the team, desert Linde has the exact same effect on her weapon and that character using a AOE special was able to easily kill my plus 10 A Idunn with AR scowl special fighter 4 and armored beacon while making the rest of my team easy pickings. Now a caveat is getting this special down is a bit of work because she is a flier and doesn’t have inherit access to times pulse but with teammates like Askr, Velouria and bridal Rafiel you can get your special going turn 1. Also to just to add on a lot of galeforcers lately are having problems of killing the front liners because defense teams have been getting so tanky and with the advent of fallen Maria as well giving units an extra life even my summer Edelgard often now has to take two of her three actions (sometimes even the third) to kill very common near savers (that are properly built) like Fomortis and Brave Edelgard. Guilveig however with the AOE build can get around this (her new A skill also helps too because of the free 7 damage but that is not unique to her) and unlike others who get their true damage on AOEs Gulveig can also get another action for free. Now do I think she is the best unit here nah I think that’s Robin or maybe Soren because of their support effects but the Snek is easily my favorite of the bunch because galeforce is my favorite strategy to use.
Anywho if you read my long rambling here thank you and I am a big fan of the channel love your guy’s reactions when ever they come up.
You can pair up Gullveig with Alear and not care about gravity at all with charge.
I think a simple explanation of Gullvieg is she is a mage duo Lyn who you don't have to use a duo skill for with canto. Lyn still kind of breaks the game but her stats are not as good so it's not as much. So updated stats alone makes a huge difference.
With Oath 4, the gravity on Gullveig is kinda a non-factor. She can go in, attack, set up a row of flames, Galeforce to attack again with warping, AND create another row of flames, and after all that, she gets to canto back 1 space. That will blockade any ranged units as that’s like 4 movement cost for 2 tiles which no unit currently can power through (except Charge status assumingly) making her ideal for Hit and Run teams

Gosh yeah, there’s honestly so much I would love to be able to experiment more with effects with when editing, but given a lot of our content is very much banner/feh channel reaction-oriented (and therefore time sensitive), I have to be discerning on what I’m willing to play with in a given timeframe. The rewind time effect I had some presets from our Book 7 banner video ready to go hehe~

I used my free summon on Soren because Radiant Dawn is my favorite video game :D
The main reason they worded Soren the way the did so it could work in AI hands as an enemy. I still think it is not as good as it appears and the AI will butcher it but it probably wouldn't be good if it didn't work at all in the AI hands. Not convinced its not just better to use the unit you want to make savior with more buffs (Rally spectrum on Robin for instance) then give them savior.
Anyways I think Gullveig is the most interesting and best for me as I am a huge galeforce supporter. I do think the weapon was hold back a little and makes me a little sad though and her main gimmick is inheritable. That being said the divine vein is really fun to use. An interesting thing to note is with charge (Alear gives it for being support partner) she can move three spaces in a row despite the gravity.
As for Corrin and Robin I think they are very very good they just have a ton of competion and will continue to get more but I have nothing bad to say about either.
Fantastic to see you guys make it to react to this year's CYL banner. Love watching your reactions to FEH stuff over and over again.
The character's skills and outfits for them are very interesting and cool to implement in FEH after the game's release.
Can't wait to summon the stuffing out of this banner with the orbs I manage to save. Just gotta figure out who to summon as my free 5 star summon.

There wasn't anyone that I really wanted on this years CYL, so I got Corrin. I actually don't have that many dragon units. Also if your were curious there is a male Corrin that has this design. They're both from Fire Cipher as the Vallette(??) Noble class!

I think this a pretty good year for cyl, I’m definitely pulling for Gullvieg. I know that the outfits are some what related to an event in their games, for Gullvieg, I believe it would around when Seior turned into her, which would explain the outfit.

Ok but ngl Corrin although she's sadly do not have yato and is a dragon she looks really sick and so cool! Her art is so pretty and she seems really strong I'm excited for her! 👀💖
And I'm not a gullveig fan and don't like her but congrats gullveig fans but omg gullveig she looks really good and way better than original gullveig actually and really pretty I'm glad the artist didn't sexualize her I'm glad! Her colour scheme is so pretty I might summon for her for legendary Veronica if the sparrow skill is inheritable to cavs hopefully! :) anyways yeah I also want flare for my sanaki so I'm gonna also snipe green!
