The hamlet of Charing, was where the original Eleanor Cross was situated, until its destruction in 1647; the area eventually became known as Charing Cross. If you visit the forecourt of Charing Cross railway station you will see the ornate Queen Eleanor Memorial Cross......... meaning that there is most definitely a cross in Charing Cross.
PsychicLord Have a look at my channel for a whole video on Charing Cross if you’re interested. The original cross is gone, and didn’t stand outside the station where this replica does now.
I love your videos. Love the neighbourhood/area spotlights. One thing I would love to see is an exploration of London's most atmospheric streets and alleyways.....Godwin Court, Puma Court, Fournier St, etc.
I must admit I couldn't see any hill in Notting Hill. The thing you showed was a humble bump in the field. Anyways, I love your videos. Please make more.
You got the wrong book shop. That one is a souvenir shop. The real shop that inspired the book shop in the film is further down in Blenheim Crescent. It’s still a bookshop. If you’re in the area and you want to see it, just look out for Dougnut Time and it’s the book shop next to it. Look out for the blue plaque :)
Renata Mahmud Me?!?? WRONG?!?! ;) I’m gonna say that I’m not wrong, that is the location they filmed at, but you’re right there is a real bookshop down the road. I felt like I’d spent enough time on the trail of Julia Roberts for one day so I didn’t make it that far.
You're not wrong, the real one is round there but I think the shooting location is where I was at. I think I've been inside the real bookstore years ago but totally forgot it even existed when I made this. Oops.
The book shop from Notting Hill the movie is still there, exactly the same as it was in the movie on Talbot Road I live a few doors down on the super annoying over crowded at most times Portobello Road but otherwise cool video.
you are just brilliant... so cute! love the videos. very informative in a sassy and sarcastic way. So glad to see another video
Made me happy seeing this pop up in my subscription feed. Thanks
Found the hippo! 08:55 > right in the center of the screen! Can my special prize be that the next video featured is Exploring Hammersmith?
Absolutely love the channel. Keep up the good work. I can tell this channel will blow up soon!

I found it quite hard to find a good shot, but if you wander around I SWEAR TO YOU it is, absolutely, resolutely, reassuringly, a hill.
@@ExploringLondon Thank you! I believe you. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
Ladbroke Grove is quite a hill.
Gabor Szabados If you want a hill go to Highgate!!
