Man, absolutely loving the in-depth Fusion tutorials, really really appreciated. Also, really love that you used aces. I really like using the letterbox node instead of merging mismatched media to BG when doing corner pin. If you use the planar transform, then you can use the "scale to source" toggle if you have mismatched resolution as well. They've added that in V19. You can also turn on the SubView by pressing V on the viewer and change it to the color inspector.
The amount of knowledge you possess about just the fusion tab makes me wonder how much of a Legend you are when it comes to your full fledged professional self! Keep these in-depth tutorials alive, Sir! Love from India!
You're too kind - I have the advantage of only explaining stuff I know - there's a ton I keep learning from this community every week. Fusion has been my big project for commercials the last few years so there will be lots more on it. (replacing nuke/flame)
A very comprehensive tutorial. It's exciting how you incorporate lots of tricks and tips into the explanations. I think I thought the split-screen tutorial would feel like a re-shoot of the BM tutorials. I was completely wrong. Especially since Bernd Klimm isn't that active on YT at the moment, it's important to see some challenging tutorials.
There’s a way to store the ocio settings . Right click over viewlut editor window, and near the bottom there is a setting to save as default. One thing I can’t get around is when using Aces at the project level. It always give a managed option that’s not correct and have to turn it off and turn on ocio.
Good tip. I am able to get this default to save for the standard gamut view lut but for some reason it still loses the path to my config file for ocio display. I might need to do a clean install on the final v19 release. And yeah project level is not great for fusion.
Before I watch the video, I want to express my deep gratitude to the author! I have watched tons of materials on Davinci Resolve on RUclips and the tutorials on this channel are of high quality and provide in-depth explanations, and they also talk about complex topics in understandable language!
Very good episode! very well explained. Thanks for this video. If you allow me, an idea for a next video could be, how to edit with a client next to you, How is the process of organizing the shots to edit with a client who asks for changes and new shots all the time. I think it would be a good episode to watch. Thank you so much
@@CreativeVideoTips I have been watching Davinci Resolve tutorials for a long time and I truly believe that what you are showing in each video is GOLD! Thank you so much

Dude! You killed it on this level 11 tutorial. I'm guessing I'll be coming back to this one in the future when something like this comes across my editing desk. Well done!
Hey Chadwick, there's a lot of good DaVinci channels out there but, in my opinion, I think yours is the best. Quick question: In this tutorial, why are you adding an ACES transformation in Fusion rather than setting up the ACES workflow in the Color tab of the timeline settings?
@@CreativeVideoTips The poing tracker, for example tracking one eye and everything is ok most of the track, but the head moves a little to much and it fails

Love the option to have the viewer on the left, since I work with nodes vertically, not horizontally. What would be even better would be to have the viewer on an external reference monitor. Is there a way to do that?
Really good watching but a lot way over my head, nice little tip that I picked up on was to sharpen the image to get trackings take it that this will work on any tracker? you knolwedge of DaVinci is just mind blowing thank you

So many great little tips in here I didn't know about, nice one! Do you ever use the 'Match' input on the ColorCorrector node, is that similar to what you did (I guess it averages rather than taking a specific point like you did)?
Thanks for the good question. If you are using resolve color management, you don't need to use aces at all. It's one or the other. The Fusion page does the linear conversion automatically with rcm enabled.
Man I really love your channel. keep up the good work. One question, I have a broadcast monitor connected to a Decklink mini monitor. Why did OCIO only affect my GUI monitor, while the broadcast monitor is darker - ACEScg mode? Thanks man
