Albufeira it is very busy only in July and August, to much I have to say! You can visit Albufeira all year, but it depend of what you most like. If you like beach and night life, come to visit us from June to the end of September. If you most prefer peace and quiet, less crowds, public beaches, nature, no toasting warm, you should come visit us in October and all Spring! Its about amazing countryside too. Even in January the fields stays green. For instance, the masses of almond trees in full bloom in some parts of the Algarve make a very beautiful and striking sight, our "snow"! And dont forget the superb cultural heritage. So, In Albufeira and remaining Algarve you could have always a nice vacation, depending of your will. If you need more information, please be my guest, I`ll be glad to give the best tips and advisor.
I remember visiting it way back in the early 1980s when it was still a small fishing village. Loved it so and still do. Looking forward to revisiting it tomorrow.

I went there in October the 16th for a week and it was great I miss it such a great holiday to go on I loved it so much stayed in on de mar hotel it had great lovely staff best holiday to go

Hi Carmel, I was looking at Airbnb and also Holiday Lettings, Home Away, I usually contact the owners and ask for better prices if book early or for a longer terms :) The place I was staying in - Bay View, it is up the hill though.

Hi Carmel, depends what you plan to do. I chose a flat in the old town because everything I wanted was there, beaches, market, cafes and I did not have to drive every time I go anywhere :) If you look for a crazy night life you can have a look near the strip, but for me 1-2 nights were enough as in old town it is also very nice at night :)
Went there not too long ago.. Its very nice. Wayyy too many places to eat. Other than that, there really isn't much more to see or do. This video literally shows everything. Not a lot for the younger people to do. But it is definitely very relaxing and very nice weather!
There are day trips you can do, like zoomarine and aqua Park, a zoo ect ect and some other sightseeing. But you have to take a coach and it's hours there and back. So not really worth the cost.

All summer beach holiday destinations the exact same things to do ..if you don't like this area .maybe you should visit city's instead
Combien de temps Albufeira restera Albufeira! Déjà trop de changement des années 70 -80, béton, commerces étrangers, spéculations. ..Et c'est aussi vrai pour tout le Portugal qui se brade en dépit de ses habitants qui sont obligés de sortir des grandes villes. Que le gouvernement prenne conscience de la gravité que cela créera dans le futur, ce sera irrémédiable ! Messieurs les dirigeants faites vos efforts pour que le Portugal reste au Portugais, c'est un très beau pays avec ses bonnes traditions. SVP ne le bradé pas ! Un amoureux de votre pays. +Victor Cojocaru привет, я была в Мае и Сентябре, было тепло, но не жара, вода очень холодная, даже стоять в ней ноги сводит, хотя я всё-равно искупалась пару раз. Если что-то культурное смотреть, то надо на север ехать, а тут отдыхают, берег красивый и скалы, мне очень понравился Лагуш! Я туда несколько раз возвращалась, на мой взгляд это самое красивое побережье Европы! Там можно покататься по пещерам на лодке, а также не далеко есть пляж Бенагил, там тоже интересные пещеры :) Ночная жизнь в Албуфейре, на улице Стрип, много разнаряженных, нигде столько не видела, мальчишники-девишники, очень популярно среди англичан...

I didn't like old town albufeira.. Its very small the streets full of tourists shops. Boring looking. Its full of idiots drinking 24\7 & eating chips on the streets. Full of blackpool atmosphere. The Costa del sol has Spanish atmosphere & beautiful looking
