Goku didn't exactly kill Frieza.
He beat him severely but Frieza was just barely alive and floating through space until King Cold found and "repaired" him. Both were later killed by Trunks.
At least that's how I remember it.

Yuji Naka has said that Super Sonic was an homage to Super Saiyan as well. But outside of appearance which can even be argued to be coincidence (7 is a lucky number, Gold is the colour of power and royalty, spikey hair because Sonics a hedgehog) the powers are different, the functions are different the dragon balls and chaos emeralds are different in creation, lore, powers, and purpose..

Goku had good lines, but a lot of them were just "Haha, you copied me.", while Sonic's were more diverse, leaving you never expecting what's coming next. And his stuff was just bangin!

4:44 pretty much yeah. In Games Sonics top base form speeds are about 4x the speed of sound and Super Sonic hasn't been recorded. In base forms? Sure Sonics faster but once Goku starts powering up? I highly doubt it.
And that's not counting Instant Transmission which definitely is faster than game Sonic.
Archie Sonic on the other hand is a different entity as he ran 140,000 light years in a few seconds.
Sonic has done infinite speed feats in games before and don't.say he is faster than sound he is way above it

They have the same creators and they came up with the concept after they already made goku gold
DBZ actually had goku turn super first in june 1991. Sonic didn't turn super until 1992 and the development of sonic the hedgehog 2 didn't start until Nov 1991.
So sonic team clearly thought goku turning super was awesome so they made sonic do it too and also added an extra emerald to match with the dragon balls.
