In a game that featured some of the best high school football talent in Michigan and the Midwest, heated rivals Detroit King and Cass Tech met in downtown Detroit. In a game broadcast throughout the state, King was led by All-American quarterback Dante Moore (15-24, 240 yards, 3 TDs), and standout senior wide receiver and defensive back Jameel Croft Jr. (5 rec, 119 yards, 1 TD). Their combined efforts, along with a defensive performance that only allowed 132 yards of offense from Cass Tech, led King to a hard fought 28-23 victory on the road.
The broadcast on Bally Sports Detroit was called by Johnny Kane (play-by-play), former Detroit Lions tight end Rob Rubick (analyst), and Natalie Kerwin (reporter).
