Week 3 of Football Fridays on Bally Sports Detroit took place in heart of Detroit, as bitter PSL rivals Cass Tech and Martin Luther King met for the first time in 2021. The Technicians entered ranked #2 in Michigan, while the home team from King was ranked #7. In the 67th meeting of this historic rivalry, the Crusaders of King won a slugfest at Lorenzo Wright Field, 41-34. Johnny Kane (play-by-play), former Craig Monroe (analyst), and Brooke Fletcher (reporter) called the game.

Great stuff! Cass Tech and King are great programs. I wish we had great city programs like this in Cleveland, Ohio where I live. The city schools are irrelevant down here. The suburban and privates dominate.

That’s how it use to be here until 07 when king got that first state title for the city…all it take is that one program to prove they can do it. Both king and cass have won multiple state titles since and are national programs now.
