Love watching your videos. My ink-cylopedia is a 3 ring binder with col-o-ring cards that have been cut to a 2X4 inch business cards and then I use business card insert holders. That system works well for me. Since I swatch one card why not do 2. I have two books. One in order of color and one by brand. Again my system works for me.
Deep breath. You are a puffy cloud! ☁️ I have you covered; I'm putting together a lil sumpin' sumpin' that will help address things you're concerned about. 🤓
Your collection is gorgeous. I have reluctantly gotten used to the new Sanzen TRP paper. Compared to the old.....it sucks indeed but we have no choice when it comes to TRP😪 Thanks for the video.
@@ferociousnprettypens No Problem!! You make me want to get a Scribo next!! I'm getting an Armando Simoni Club Triangolo in Autumn Green Celluloid soon. After that I have no clue, but a Scribo might be in the cards haha
1) Your palette always speaks to me! We love so many of the same colors - guess we kinda knew that. 😂 And I'm STILL looking at those beautiful La Dottas. Damn I LOVE those! Just can't quite pull the trigger yet. Much as I'd love both, I'll probably need to go with one [at a time 😏]... 2) Don't think Amazon carries seitz-kreuznach anymore.🙁 Or I'm blind bc I didn't see it. Do you remember how much you paid for it? I found one person who carries it but after shipping it's like $40. 3) Plotter takes their sweet ass time to respond & expects you to take care of shipping at those prices - even though it's their own fuck-up?! Yeah that's complete & utter bullshit.🤨 4) I'd love to see your ink-cyclopedia method & video! I wanted my ink-cyclopedia to be streamlined with a nice flow & lay out but what do I have? Yep! Bound notebooks which are a hot mess now! Some notebooks I purchased specifically for it but soon realized my folly - not fit for purpose! The notebooks, not me! 😂 I got frustrated and set that project aside until I figured out a better way and stopped ruining notebooks.🙄 So yeah - most definitely interested and where you got your loose pages and all the things! 💜💙💜
1) You have great taste. What can I say?! haha. I didn't think I'd like the Nimphea as much as the Campanula, but it's awesome for grey, purple, and chromatic shading blues. Either way you go, you can't go wrong. 2) I did some googling and Seitz-Kreuznach went out of business in like 2021...so I'm 2 years late to the party to share the color. The closest thing I see in my swatches is Monteverde purple reign. It looks way more purple in my video than it is in RL. 3) But at least now we know...and wait to see what they say. 4) I'll film that video as soon as I get more ink swatch pages complete. :)
Can you please make a video showcasing the OMAS pens? May be you have already made a video, but I don't recall the Dama in Arco Verde. Love me my OMAS.
You caught me! LOL. The Dama Arco Verde was an accidental find early this year before I was "back." I don't have a substantial collection of OMAS. Still, I'd be happy to record something...maybe get a collaborator who can help fill in some details on the history because I think the story behind the brand is interesting...especially with the recent "release."
OMG new subbie and so happy to find you! Please do share your updated ink-cyclopedia. And please don't turn me out on that Taylor Tiffany Ascher pen! Once I finish typing this I'm running to hide the credit cards and pick my jaw up off the floor. LOL
Everything Waterman is underrated. I have only used Serenity Blue, but I think that is the most important ink to have. It's a great testing ink for troubleshooting. It's a great testing ink to get to know a nib. SB is the first ink I run through a pen, to test and get to know how the nib performs. It becomes quickly evident whether a nib is wet, dry will shade or sheen. Why waste time figuring out what inks go with what pens, when one ink will tell what ink and pen combos might work? So it's like a control ink, but it does look good when in a wet nib, super vibrant, but in a dry nib super pale. I have been meaning to get more colors. Best of all, my wallet doesn't get upset like some inks that $40 for 20mL.
Exactly! Picking a good, tried & true ink like SB is key in this hobby if you want to do any troubleshooting. And you can't beat a good blue! I love how it subtly sheens...it's like a nice hint that won't blind you in direct sunlight. haha.
The loose leaf white I was able to find is all the "new" - - I'm guessing makers bought up the old to use for notebooks. The specifications on the JetPens website state the maker is "Tomoe River" and it was produced after Jan 2020. I think there's old loose leaf cream in 68 gsm and white in 52 gsm floating around out there by Sanzen, which doesn't make sense for what I need. 😢
I wanted to get your thoughts. I’m looking at buying a spare Aurora Fine Flex nib for a pen I have and the seller offers and added flex modification. Since you were talking about your Aurora nib in this video, I was curious if you had the choice, would you get it stubbed or added flex?
It depends on the seller. If they have experience adding flex and have multiple happy customers, I'd go for adding the flex. It's magical having a piston filler when you get an ink hungry nib like a full flex nib! Let me know what happens. :)
Of Waterman, I only have Inspired Blue, but I think it's a GREAT ink and super underrated. Easy to clean and a pleasant shader.
I just inked a pen with that one and it’s so good!!!🤓😍
Robert Oster has some great inks. I really like their purples!
Ditto! So good!

That's pretty awesome thinking. I like it! I'm so glad you found something that works for you!
Thank you. 😎
Would love another inkcyclopedia video! I'm about to start one and am overwhelmed haha

Your new Ascher pen from Tailor Pens is soooo lovely, gasp. Btw, I believe your La Dotta is named ‘Campanula’ after the dainty purple bell flower.
A dainty flower pen in my GIGANTIC HANDS. Jk. Lol. Thanks. ❤️

I was really hoping they’d leave 68 gsm TRP alone…but alas…it’s all different. 😱
You just made me buy a Jinhao... So sad that purple ink isn't available anymore.
Enjoy the Jinhao. And I’m sad too. It’s so pretty. I will find a dupe!
I think I heard that Kaweco is actually going to make a new piston filler pen. I don't know if it's going to be a sport or bigger or what though.
Hmmm....pinteresting! This is the first time I've heard they're thinking of adding a new pen. Thanks for sharing.

🤣😂🤣 Welcome! So glad you’re here!!! My wallet has anxiety, so I feel you. 😂😇

On camera, that Australian opal pink looks similar to pelikan edelstein rose quartz
I see what you mean. It’s similar, it’s just not as saturated. 😉
There is new 68gsm Tomoe River? I had thought there was quite a bit of that still in circulation. Is it by Sanzen?

I adore your writing (I think I have already said this) 🤷♂️ 😂 ×
That's okay. I'll take the compliment! lol Happy Thursday, Lin!

If you decide to sell the Churchill stained glass pen, I'm you're buyer! 😉
😂 noted! ❤️🙌🏼
I love your brand of irreverence, while still sharing solid insights and useful info. And you definitely wore it better than Mimi. Just sayin’.
lol. Thanks!
