Was happily surprised by this in between release, as I saw that fw 1.15 could boot loop the camera when setting those new performance alternatives ... thought that was typical as my camera was in the mail & the ETA was they day after. It's not a protector, I usually use tempered glass but not on the 10 as its a new hydrophobic coating. This is a polar pro ND filter, I was shooting in a low shutter speed
@@crazystevie how much the overheating issue has been improved in tripod mode curious to see as this was the one reason that prevented me wanting to buy the newest GoPro
Still no fix for the max mod lens in this new firmware though. What annoys me, it takes them 6 months to get a new product working correctly then its replaced by a new model within 12 months of its release. I got the Hero 10 on release date and the DJI Action 2........iam still wondering if i should return the DJI Action 2, i like how quirky it is but i just think the Hero 10 is a more usable solid unit
@@banog42 well what do you shoot, I've used gopros for 10yrs and this camera has had no issues for me shooting water-skiing, horse riding, landscape, hiking, flying and fpv so far....but I don't shoot for long periods of time as I know the clips I want to create
@@crazystevie I use the gopro 9 and I mainly use it on my helmet mount with a remote for capturing flying footage ranging from about 10 seconds to 5mins.
Yes that's what the update is for, overheating is primarily caused by the camera not having airflow or being in hot environments and shooting in 4 and 5 k. You now have a choice of tripod mode for 4 and 5k shots or extended battery mode in all resolutions

Gave up on the DJI Action 2 & went with the Gopro 10 instead, received it today... and lo and behold, they had prepared a new FW update for me :)
Awesome timing 😄 there's another firmware update due this month for max lens compatibility and also the enduro battery will be available

do you still have EB mode if you choose 4k60? or is EB just a bunch of presets at lower frame rates.
You still have access to 4k 60 but not 120 in EB mode 🙂
GOPRO also fixed the Quick App yesterday for ios 15 and the iphone 13pro.... seems we are now just waiting on the MOD firmware...

Yea I know, the max lens mod update is due Nov 16th I believe 🙂 that's really all that's missing now

50min at 30fps, 63mins at 60fps and 26min at 120fps

Has the update rectified the camera shutting down on 50% and then only filming for 10 seconds afterwards before shutting down again?
What's settings where you on when this happens? Resolution and frame rate etc
