  • In this video, I go over 3 methods on how you can transfer your GoPro footage from your Hero 10 Black to your Smartphone or Tablet. This is important as mobile devices become more powerful, more and more are choosing mobile devices to view, manage and edit GoPro footage. The GoPro Hero 10 introduced a new faster way to transfer footage by using a direct-wired connection.

I really appreciate your way of explaining the "how to" because you sound relax, patient and not in a rush to finish the tutorial. I'm a first time owner of a GoPro. I have the Hero 10 Black. My first video test, I transferred to my MacBook Air and it was "choppy". Not sure why. After watching this video, I'll go with the sd card reader to transfer to my iPhone 12 Pro Max, hopefully it's not "choppy".

The wired transfer is not working for iPhones. I’m not sure if it’s a bug in the 1.16 firmware update but I can’t seem to get the GoPro Hero10 to connect with my IPhone12 ProMax nor my wife’s iPhone11 Pro or my sister’s iPhone XS. However, it works flawlessly with my youngest sister’s Samsung Z Fold 3. USB-C to USB-C

    • @Ninjadom

      Great video.
iOS CAN recognise files higher than 4K. Because in the Quick app, before you transfer to iOS Photos app, pressing information on the video correctly identifies the video as being 5K (Hero 9) or 5.3K (Hero 10).
I think the problem lies with iOS Photos app specifically. Thing is, if you want to use any other app or software to manipulate your videos, except for the GoPro Quick app, you HAVE to import it into iOS Photos app, therefore reducing it down to 4K.

Will the hardwire transfer work with the GoPro 8 to my iphone11? I’m totally new to GoPro. Was gifted a gopro8. Which transfer method would be best for transferring Gopro8 videos to my iPhone? Thanks for your help!

Hi - Great video. When I click download new footage (from GP10 to app) it says failed due to insufficient disk space? Confused because I have paid GP subscription for cloud space plus I have apple iCloud extra storage of 2TB so unsure what disk space it is referring too.

How do I make video out of time lapse photos using Quick App? Also, the videos are fairly LARGE! Phones iPads get chocked with just few mins of clips. Any suggestions? Thank you.

using option three, is it possible to then apply overlays? Ie GPS map overlay or speed dials? I am looking for a fast transfer and currently using your option 1.
