My waterbag broke too at about 1:30 am..it was a sudden pop and then water just cascaded down on the floor. I gave birth 10 hours later. Its a very different phase of your life really...and one really appreciates the presence of a concerned partner in such moments.

By the way, I don't know if it's just me but I kinda don't like what the doctor commented, "the daughter is more beautiful than the mother". Though I'm pretty sure Erica, as a mum, is so proud to hear that, but she just gave birth! She was still in the birthing bed, was in pain and all, in her very vulnerable state, and then the doctor made that comment. I think it was a bit on the insensitive side. Sometimes, small things like that are a big deal for first-time mums. Postpartum depression is real.
Marvelling at the quiet strength and grace of this wonderful petite young woman as she gave birth to their first born. Equally blessed to have a doting husband who never left Erica's side from labor pains to finally giving birth. Her one-man cheerleading squad, thank you Ricky. You two are built to last! Congratulations! Your unica hija is absolutely adorable and beautiful just like her parents.
