I’ve literally watching this video a million times leading up to our DCA trip, and am pleased to report that we had the BEST day following your RD strategy! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks for watching! We actually did a Disneyland Every Ride Challenge too! Please check it out if you’re interested: ruclips.net/video/doNnSzjT-Ws/видео.html
It would be so great if you could make an updated version of this video, like you did for Disneyland ☺️ Unless there’s nothing that you would do differently? Btw I love your videos so much, they’re really useful and entertaining 🤩
Thank you so much for watching and for your kind words 😊 Our strategy for DCA is the same today, the only change would be that The Little Mermaid attraction is now included in Lightning Lane Multi-Pass. We will try to film an update in the next couple months.
I made a quick list dor everyone in the order they used. You guys are the best planners i have watched thus far. California adventure 1 Pixar pal around (use genie) (maybe toy story) 2 Emotional whirlwind 3 Silly symphony swings 4 Jumping jelly fish 5 Golden Zephyr 6 Toy story midway(use incredicoaster@9am) 7 Jessie's critter carousel 8 Goofys sky school (soarin around the world) 9 little mermaid 10 soarin (use genie guardians of galaxy) 11 bakery tour (When you buy cars tickets you cannot change plan accordingly) 12 Luigi's rollicking roadster 13 Maiters junkyard (use radiator springs racers ) (Monsters Inc) 14 Guardians of the galaxy EAT! 15 (genie) web slingers spiderman 16 sorcerers workshop 17 turtle talk 18 animation academy (use genie) 19 grizzly river run (you can use free lockers) 20 mickeys philharmagic 21 red car trolley
I am looking for a video that will really explain everything and a breakdown of all the attractions from how when what to do first!! You guys save me and our upcoming trip this month.. We were at Disney 8yrs ago and i dont know of the changes that happened in those years! Im glad I crossed to see your video!! Very well explained and just amazing !!! We’ll keep you posted after my family trip!!! Yey!!! Pls send me the updated disneyland park as well if you have one. Thank you in advance! ❤️
Thanks so much, we hope it’s helpful! We do have a Disneyland version of this challenge from a few months ago, hopefully it has some tips you can use too! Have a fantastic trip! ruclips.net/video/doNnSzjT-Ws/видео.html
❤ I saw your video before coming from Korea. I went to DCA today and succeeded. I watched both Disneyland and DCA videos. Your video was helpful to foreign travelers who didn't have time. Thank you very much.
Hi! We do have a Disneyland version, and we plan on updating it soon. It was a bigger challenge for sure. Thanks for watching! 😁 ruclips.net/video/doNnSzjT-Ws/видео.html
@@InAMagicalMood I loved watching this. Going to Disneyland for the first time over Columbus Day holiday weekend and I am going to use some of these strategies!
Going to Disneyland for the first time next month. Been to WDW several times and have that down to a science but I’ve been searching for a helpful video for DL ….and THIS is the first one that I have come across where I feel like I actually have a plan of attack now. Thank you so much!!
That's my daughter's birthday Aug 6th she's our baby and only girl ❤ she'll be 24 this year 😊 and we absolutely love Disney ty for sharing your awesome videos,I just ran across your videos today and so happy I did😊❤
Thanks so much for watching and for your kind words! We really appreciate it! ☺️ We are so glad it’s helpful and hope you can use some of these tips on your next visit!
This was so helpful! I would love a video on how many rides you can get through when you park hop to DCA after 1pm. I know it will be busier so wondering what the lightning lane return times would be then. Thx so much!
Thanks so much for watching! That would be an interesting challenge to try! We think we’d be able to get on more attractions at Disneyland after park hopping (1pm) because the park is open later than DCA. One thing to keep in mind when planning is that most of the Pixar Pier attractions close early at DCA for World of Color and don’t reopen after the show, but the Fantasyland attractions do reopen after the fireworks.
Awesome video! 🤩 My intuition told me to start at Toy Story. It was fantastic to actually see queues and the park as the day progressed. Single Rider is a lifesaver! ♥️ I was stupid and bought a one park per day 3-day pass. I have to maximize my day because I’m only allowing one at DCA. Thank you!
Thanks so much, we really appreciate the feedback! It’s always interesting to see how everything changes at the park throughout the day. We love DCA, but you really can squeeze everything in on one day, while Disneyland deserves 2 days to appreciate all the extra magic.
Thank you so much for this video! We actually go to Disneyland a lot, and have our own habits but we’re planning a trip later this year with an adult who’s NEVER been to Disneyland at all. 😱. They were wanting to spend a whole day at DCA, doing EVERYthing, and it’s been a looong time since we’ve done that. 😅. Thanks again, and you gained a new subscriber today! 😊
Oh nice! The ride every challenge is always fun. I can't believe how much you got done in the morning. I'll have to keep that in mind for my trip next week!
Thanks so much for watching! Yes, we highly recommend checking out the Pixar Pier attractions first thing in the morning if there are any you want to ride. Have a great trip!
Many of the attractions on Pixar Pier close early for World of Color, so just keep that in mind when you’re planning out your day. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Wow, great video, thks for sharing all of your strategies! I might skip buying LL for Radiator Springs bc we are fam of 5, sneak it in first then head straight to pixar pier + try your plan. Hope it wrks! 😅
Helpful video! If I'm not willing to pay for Radiator Springs when would you recommend riding? Does it stay busy all day? Or does it slow down at night?
The single rider line is a great option, especially earlier in the day. If you’re staying late, waiting to get in the standby line near the end of the day is a good option too, because most people wait to watch World of Color or leave to watch the fireworks at Disneyland.
Hi if i was going to disney california for 2 days, would you recommend 1 day ca 1 day disneyland? (Would be purchasing genie plus and potential lightning lane for rotr if queues long) also would it be smarter to buy park hopper for ca since its a smaller park thats could be finished earlier on?
Thanks so much for watching! We recommend getting park hopper tickets for both days so that you have all the options available. That way, if an attraction is closed temporarily or there’s a parade you’re hoping to watch, you’ll have more than one chance to do it. Have a great trip!
It has been a few years since I have been to DCA and Disneyland. I have used Genie+ in WDW. Can you now modify a regular lightning lane same as in WDW if you are running late or need a different time?
Great question! In that moment, we wanted to get through as many of the Pixar Pier attractions as we could before those lines got longer. We knew that we’d be able to ride Midway Mania anytime using Genie Plus, so we chose to go back to it. You could definitely walk on and book a different LL too, they are both good strategies. Thanks so much for watching!
If we dont have genie plus and wont be buying lightning lane do you still recommend going to pixar pier first at rope drop and waiting later for radiator springs? We 100% want to go on it!
Yes, we’d still skip it at rope drop unless you happen to be in the front of that giant line, it’s still going to be an hour or more and wait times do fluctuate throughout the day. If you can use Single Rider instead, it’s usually a 5-10 minute wait in the morning. Have fun!
Thanks so much for watching! At Disneyland, you can try to refresh the app to try to get a different time but otherwise you must take the only time slot that’s offered for Individual Lightning Lanes.
I heard so many things about the Genie Plus and how it changes and how you it works sometimes and sometimes it really doesnt work as expected. Still trying to make sure everything is back to normal before we go back. LIKE 21. 👍👍👍👍
They can be found at City Hall and many stores throughout the Disneyland Resort, we just asked a CM to fill ours out like this 😁 Thanks so much for watching!
These are awesome tips!! I’m going to Disneyland (and of course DCA!) for the first time ever in October, and this is super helpful for planning. Thanks for sharing with us, so excited! 😊☀️
Yes, for most attractions you will skip nearly all of the queue using Lightning Lane, usually your wait is only a couple minutes. Thanks so much for watching!
Woooow !!! Amazing video...new follower right here, Very Very helpful.... thank you !! Quick question: I can either book the Genie+ Lighting lanes though My Tip board ...or through My day right? Either way?
Thanks so much for watching! When we filmed this, Genie Plus cost $20 per person per day. They do change the price every day, but for this day the Individual Lightning Lanes that we purchased for Radiator Springs Racers were $15 per person and Spider-Man Webslingers were $15 per person. Altogether we spent $50 per person. We highly recommended using the Single Rider lines for both Racers and Webslingers if possible to save time and money.
This was so helpful when I took my 3 kiddos my last time I been was 12yrs ago so helpful with the app and telling us the times thank u. We went two weeks ago so we got to Draw Daisy Duck with a Witch hat 🎃
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this detailed and well thought out video! I’ll be going with my family of 5 to DCA and this is EXTREMELY helpful! Looking forward to a similar video for Disneyland 🫶🏽
Great video! Full of lot of clear explanations and trip. Any tips for a half day at DCA? Will be attending the day I land, so hoping to get into park at about 2pm. What's the best way to start when arriving in the afternoon? Based on your vid I think I will rope drop on my second day and take your tips for starting at Pixar Pier and hopefully get to ride anything I might have missed on my first afternoon. Thanks!!
Thanks so much for watching! We think that’s a fantastic plan! You can get so much done in the morning at DCA. If you’re starting in the afternoon, we would focus on anything with a Lightning Lane that has the soonest return time or any attractions with a Single Rider Line. Keep an eye on Pixar Pier in the evening, most of the attractions close early if there is a World of Color show at night. Have a great trip!
Your strategy worked for us perfectly. I made the tragic mistake of getting in a swinging cart on the Pal-a-round. Instant regret. 😁😁😁 We had a blast nonetheless. Thanks for the info!! Very helpful.
We are so glad it was helpful! Some people are big fans of those swinging gondolas, but it can take you by surprise if you’re not expecting it 😆 Thanks so much for watching!
So I’m confused what’s the difference between genie plus and lighting lane? Or is the same thing? Btw great video!! I’ll be using this plan for next week!
Hi! Genie plus is what the whole system is called, but Lightning Lane is what they call the actual line you use to return to the ride. We agree it’s confusing that they use two terms instead of just “Fastpass” like they used too. Thanks so much for watching! Let us know if you have any other questions and have a great trip!
@@InAMagicalMood so do i have to pay extra for lighting lanes? Because I saw you guys paying extra? But I bought genie plus already for both park days!
@@SeoanisChannel The Genie Plus that you already purchased includes any attraction that offers Lightning Lane, except for Radiator Springs Racers. That ride has an additional fee, but you can also use the Single Rider line if you don’t mind sitting separately from your party.
I am a little confused. I recently purchased tickets to Disneyland and DCA for October. I was given the option to buy Genie+ when I purchased my tickets. I selected that option and was under the impression that I had already purchased Genie+. I realize I can not book my lightening lanes until we get to the parks, but thought that I had already purchased the Genie+ option.
Hi! Thanks for watching! It sounds like your Genie+ has been purchased with your tickets, so when you scan into the parks, you will be able to select your Lightning Lanes for that day. Unfortunately you can’t book any of the times or attractions in advance. Hopefully that’s helpful, please let us know if there’s anything else from our video that we can explain 😁
@@InAMagicalMood Thanks so much for the speedy reply. That is how I understood the system but wanted to confirm. Thanks so much for the videos and the advice. You guys are doing a great job!
do you need the app to book the genie plus thing or can you get a physical ticket and go to the machines they used to have? my phone software isnt updated and I can't download the app lol
Hi! Unfortunately Genie Plus requires the Disneyland app on a smart device. You can ask the Cast Members at City Hall if they have an alternative, but we don’t believe there’s any other options.
We totally understand! It’s frustrating to spend even more money just to skip the line for one attraction. It can be a big time saver if you only have one day to squeeze everything in though. Thanks so much for watching!
Best tip is do not use your LL (Genie+) in the first couple of hours of the park opening!! Ride everything and use the LL to ride those rides again in the afternoon. It is a waste to use LL when the wait is less than 15 minutes.
Good point! The only catch with Buddy Pass is that it’s not always offered and it’s only available for groups of 2, so we can understand how some groups would rather use a Lightning Lane if they’ve already purchased Genie Plus for the day. Thanks for watching!

@@SeoanisChannel Have a great trip!
@@kourtneysturhan7408 😊 Thank you so much! We really appreciate it! Hope you have a wonderful trip!
Thanks for stating that this was a SATURDAY in August...wow! Great advice! Definitely going to try single rider on RSR with my kiddos!
@@kimwhite6176 Have a wonderful time! Single Rider is great, as long as you’re ok sitting in a different row or car from your group.
do you need the app to book the genie plus thing or can you get a physical ticket and go to the machines they used to have? my phone software isnt updated and I can't download the app lol
Hi! Unfortunately Genie Plus requires the Disneyland app on a smart device. You can ask the Cast Members at City Hall if they have an alternative, but we don’t believe there’s any other options.
@@InAMagicalMood thanks for letting me know! It's very annoying they don't make the app available to older IOS versions!
I know I'm going to have to, but I sure hate the idea of paying for an individual lightning lane.
We totally agree! Thanks so much for watching!
How many steps did you take?
About 20,000 steps that day! Thanks so much for watching!
Why pay for monsters inc when u can get buddy pass for free
Good point! The only catch with Buddy Pass is that it’s not always offered and it’s only available for groups of 2, so we can understand how some groups would rather use a Lightning Lane if they’ve already purchased Genie Plus for the day. Thanks for watching!
