I know you just wanted to give it full throttle for more than just 3 seconds. I could feel it thousands of kilometers away from you hahaha. This bike is the bike that I want the most, the sound, the looks and the history is just perfect for me.

Greetings from Australia - I've had a yellow and black K5 gixxa thou for over 18 years and she is still running strong. Love it heaps and have not even been slightly tempted to "upgrade" since getting it. Prior to this bike I used to change every few years... this is a keeper!

Man. I have an K6 BLK/SIL/GRY. I bought it new. 1586 miles. I have nobody to ride with anymore. I have it listed on Marketplace. Never knew how horrible and fun recieving and sending replies could be. Your video has convinced me to keep it and get it out more often. I was already having sellers remorse and haven't even entertained any of the lowball offers. That bike will go 100mph in first gear if you dare to hold on to first for that long. Truly a legend bike. It's my third GSXR. The first was a 86' 750, then a 92'. The K6 is lighter than both more powerful. The handling is great and the powerband, especially for a 1000cc bike, is so linear, smooth and controllable. If you like sport bikes and can get your hand on a nice example, never let it go.

@@paytonlefevre3519it was very light from the factory. K7/K8 weight went up due to emissions. Change the full exhaust out on a newer GSX-R1000 so it's lighter, tune it so it doesn't run like crap, and it would be pretty good.

Got a tiny Duke 200 to really make sure I master the fundamentals before I move on to something freeway worthy. Watched this to see how I felt about liter bikes now that I'm a little more experienced. And yeah, I'm still a long way from trusting myself with this kind of heat!

Not only does that bike look, and sound great, knowing you have the power to take out 99% of the cars on the road with a slight twist of the throttle is an awesome feeling!!! BUT living in the country like I do, speed isn’t recommended due to the amount of wildlife I encounter on the daily(deer, raccoons, rabbits, foxes, and coyotes), especially at night, so I’ll be getting something a little slower, safer, and less tempting!!! I’ll still have my fun, but not doing triple digits will hopefully keep me alive longer!!! 😂

I started on a 750. It really depends on if you know you can respect the machine & can ride within your limits. If you are a go-go-go type of person and just want a bike for speed, you should start on something smaller than even a 600. The larger the engine size the less forgiving they are.

Bro, get you a quickshifter with auto blip. Will completely change the experience. Got a 01 750, 04 busa on a 50 shot, 2023 1000r. New bike came factory with it. Removed my airshifter on the busa and went to quickshifter. Faster and smoother..
