  • @SimonBorg
    @SimonBorg Год назад

    why did you scale it if you were taking the skin off the fillet? I've seen a few people not even bother scaling flathead. I'm just curious because I seem to be catching a few of these lately and I'm going to try cooking them up next

  • @stefan514
    @stefan514 3 года назад +1

    If you take the skin of anyway... why scale it? Just extra work without a real benefit.

  • @lynetteharris6517

    Definitely use that rod u should try do a catch and cook with it!

  • @vandelayindustries5814
    @vandelayindustries5814 Год назад +2

    dont fry with olive oil, dude. use canola
    olive oil burns too low and should just be a seasoning or very low cooking oil

    they are my favourite bit....

  • @joshuamarangon3385
    @joshuamarangon3385 3 года назад +3

    Each to their own.. There is a secret to getting the bones out without having to cut them out.. when you have got the fillet off you start to skin half the fillet (from the tail towards the gut cavity) and rip the other half with your hands and all the bones will come out in the process no stuff around

    • @NevsFishing
      @NevsFishing  3 года назад +1

      This trick actually doesn’t work with these flathead for some reason, I’ve tried it and it rips the flesh. It works in Vic though

    Do you have any tips on choosing a colour of soft plastic for flathead?The water I fish in is clear blue water and is about 3 metres.I was looking at the baby bass colour and wakasagi from the baitjunkie 3.2 inch minnow, would that be good?
