  • I recently purchased the biggest wood stove available from the big box stores. Is was an Ashley. The others available were US Stove Co Buck Blaze King and Hearth Stone. I thought I was getting a deal for the AW3200 3200sq/ft model from Ashley. I was wrong.
    Welcome to Man Time!

I bought the Ashley 3200 for my pole barn 2 years ago for $2,600 and love it. I was just about to buy the same unit for the house from Home Depot for $2,458 but thought I'd eat my breakfast first and watch some videos first. Thank God I found your video, I bought the same unit from Tractor Supply for $1,199 and you are right, it is the same exact thing except the box says US Stove verses Ashley. THANK YOU!!!

That b.s. I purchased a country hearth 2000 back in 2016. Have had absolutely nothing wrong so far, even the blower motor still works.
Bought it from united states stove company.
No where on any paperwork says we're the stove was manufactured in.
I use other fans to blow across it which really helps to distribute the heat and keeps the stove from becoming over heated.
Good luck with your new stove.

Yeah I mean they really get you with the name right! US STOVE CO. Made where?!?!

@@Man-TimeUS stoves are made in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. The US stove company bought Ashley Hearth, so I wouldn’t doubt that Ashley Hearth stoves are made in China and US stoves are made in America.

Big difference between a blzeking and an ashley hearth. Mostly the fact an equal size blazeking will burn 3x as long and all blazekings are catalytic. Ashley is cheap. Itl do but its cheap and youll put significantly more sweat equity in in the long run. I can heat 1700sq ft A frame with 2 cords of wood all winter in northern WI with my blazeking chinook 30 and only fill it morning and night. I had a secondary burn stove, much nicer than an ashley and went through 4x the amount of wood. Its incredible the difference. Acts as my main source of heat but have electric backup if I need it.

It also looks like there is a big difference in price. I understand the initial investment at 4x that of the US stove will eventually pay off. Some people can’t justify that. If the wood is free it only pays off in the labor to produce it.

    Hey,
I saw this same exact woodstove at local Rona (Canada) going for $1799.00 Cad. Not sure if you got to actually fire up and test this stove yet but I'd love to hear your thoughts aside from the price scam that you had to deal with.
It seems too good to be true quality wise. Better parts, higher costs = better quality and I'm not sure how this stove defies this simple logic.
Similar capacity wood burning stoves of this size start at at least double the price. Not really sure what I'd be getting as far as quality and longevity with this stove as the price in itself suggests otherwise.
Not sure if me buying it means I have saved myself $1800 going with a different brand or I have flushed $1800 down the drain as this is total junk.
Looking forward to your feedback and thanks again!

You’re right. It is very well built and seems like it will be a great stove. Haven’t fired it up yet but looking forward to it!

Hi, Thanks for the video. Can you tell me if that stove has an inlet for an outside cold air kit, or if you think that is possible for the stove to be hooked up for outside cold air.

It does have a cold air inlet to plumb outside. Doesn’t include the pipes

Things made in China (no matter what the brand) is crap. I'll bet the welds on the Chinese made stove are inferior.

Those are all junk stoves anyways. Only buy usa or canadian made stoves.
