    Sorry for the delay, lottemelon. Dr. Graff works here at Barnet Dulaney Perkins Eye Center in Arizona. We have clinics all over the state, so he does a bit of traveling.

    My floaters are not black; they are transparent. But then I don't have a detached retina.

    (life long detached retena and lots and lots of laser in the other eye to stop it from detatching ass well as a detached vetria.
    The "Black spots" dont stay black your brain eventuily fills in the gaps depinding on how how bad the spot is it can be an etherial spot that shows up from time to time to you not notesesing it unless you stare at something long enough and still enough that your brain cant compensate making the spot go wavy or objects apear to float off.
