I recently stumbled upon your channel have been delightfully inspired by your videos. I’ve had my clem for almost year and love it for the same kinds of rides. BUT, I’ve got lots of chain slap going on… have you had any issues?
Thanks for the thought. Upon replacing my chain I realized that my 11 tooth cog was stripped and the chain was about 4 links longer than the park tool +1 method. The switch to a larger cog and possibly shorter chain has helped. But it will always be heavily wrapped in newbaums…
lovely lugs! But that wheelbase/rear chainstay is bananas long :O Does it feel slow to get up to speed? I like my chainstays rather short-ish (in the 425cm-ish range)
Feels good enough to me. As long as I’m not entering any races! I’ve got a few different bikes for different riding. This is the one I usually choose for my commutes.
I feel like that a lot of the time, I’d always rather be riding my bike. Yes, it is Crescent Down Works. Well spotted. Korean winters are brutal but a full down parka was too bulky for riding. This vest is perfect.
I have 4. I love all of them for different purposes. I’ll give them a road to trail percentage for each bike: Romulus 90% road 10% trail Atlantis 50% road 50% trail Clem 30% road 70% trail Susie 20% road 80% trail
Nice build! Clem is my favorite. Although, you have to keep it dirty. In my opinion Riv’s look much nicer well used. For two years of ownership, it still looks like it came fresh out the box.
Don’t worry, it has been on plenty of rides getting dirty. I just like to keep my bikes clean, especially since the roads recently have been gritted for all the snow we had.
nice bike, thanks for the video! sorry for the late reply, but can you tell me more about the ghost flower that you mention at 1:35 ? I can't find any information about them anywhere!
Love the video, I was wondering how long are you able to ride your bike in an upright position? And are you comfortable for long periods? Do you prefer upright or drop bars?
I prefer upright bars. 3 out of 4 of my bike have them. For much longer rides, I’d have the bars lower which is why quill stems are great. for this kind of chilled ride, they’re comfy up that high.
This is wonderful. I’m in Japan and would love to get that bell. Could you tell me the name again, and where you got it please? I couldn’t quite make out the name
Thanks for your videos, I’d been waiting for this after the last one where you took the clem out to the country. I’ve got my eye on a 59 in lime olive ,your build looked superb 😊
Hey Marcus, how tall are you and what's your pbh ? I understand you bought it that size so you and your partner can ride it but thats alot of exposed stem and seatpost i kinda dig the look
177cm tall with 85cm pbh. Upper end height for 52cm Clem and lower end for 59cm. The bars are about as high as they can go but I’m super upright. Sometimes I put them lower. The saddle has a bit more room before its limit.
@@probablyriding watch and enjoy all your videos. Very interested in your idea of getting your wife on the Clem. Is it just a matter of lowering seat post and stem or replace with shorter stem & bar to preserve handlebar tape?
That's a stunning machine, nice colour too.
Many thanks!
An amazing bike for sure! Love all the little details. It must put a smile on your face every time you ride it. Cheers from Canada
Thanks a lot nit puts a smile on my face every time I ride.
Very pretty bike. It's nice to hear the evolution of the parts.
Thanks. I love slowly tinkering with a bike.
Awesome setup, thanks of the sharing. Waiting for my A. Homer Hilsen.. can't wait to built it.
I’d love to try a Homer. I only know one other Riv owner here who has the 62cm with the rainbow tube. A beautiful bike but too big for me to try.
Beautiful bike. COYG!!
Yes! I knew there’d be a gooner watching out there somewhere. Up the Arsenal!
How nice, keen for more bike checks!
A couple more of my bikes, then friends.
Lovely bike. I am also an Arsenal supporter!!!
Up the Arsenal!
Hey there! Wonder where you got the saddle bag? As usual great video.
Thanks. It’s from Swift Industries
Such a cool bike!
Thanks!
Love the pins on the bag. I'm always terrified of losing them on a ride, do you do anything special to keep them secure?
I don't I feel like they’re pretty secure. No worries!
@@probablyriding Neat! I’ll be a bit more daring then :)

Thank! I haven’t had big issues with chain slap. I’ve got the chaintstay wrapped in bar tape just in case anyway. Perhaps your chain is too long?

Speed? What’s that. Didn’t you spot the “campandgoslow“ sticker ?😁

Thanks 👍🏻
Where did you get the inspo for the tapejob? couldn't quite figure it out just by ear
Search loppylibeccio on instagram
Beautiful bike and great video. Very relaxing to watch. Where are you? Looks lovely.
This was shot in Gapyeong, South Korea.

Is bike too heavy with mudguards , maybe fly golf better
Not worried about weight. Will probably try mudguards for the wet Korean summer
I hope Grant Petersen continues to thrive...
He makes great bikes.
love your videos! makes me want to stop working and jump on my bike! Q, is that a Crescent Down Works vest you're wearing?
I feel like that a lot of the time, I’d always rather be riding my bike. Yes, it is Crescent Down Works. Well spotted. Korean winters are brutal but a full down parka was too bulky for riding. This vest is perfect.
How many Rivs do you have? Which your favorite? I'm shopping for one for rd . and trail . Fat tires and responsive. Enjoy your vids.

Romulus 90% road 10% trail

Nice looking bike. Well thought through.
I’m very pleased with the setup right now.
Ah well, here's my answer from your other video, what do you prefer the clem or susie?
Just replied to your other comment
Here from the Rivendell newsletter; what a gorgeous build. Enjoy your ride!
I didn’t realise it was shared on there. Thanks for letting me know. Hope you check out my other Rivs on my other videos!
@@probablyriding I love torturing myself, so I'll check them out!
Perfect set up. I picked up the same color and size from Riv during the pandemic as well. Thanks for this inspiration.
I know you and your Rivs from instagram! Seems like the Roadini is your favourite at the moment. Looks like a sweet bike
Yep the Roadini is the star at the moment. However, they all have their strengths in their own rights!
Yeah, my favourite bike changes every week depending on my mood. Lucky to have the variety.
A bike bike. I think you know what I mean.
Proper
Very nice bike. Could you advise which rack you have at the rear please? I've been looking at buying something similar.
Nitto NR21
i just got to know the rivendell unfamiliar thanks to u. wondering how does it weight. isn’t it hard to climb?
Weight isn’t a consideration of mine. I’m not trying to beat times or anything. Just having fun riding a comfy bike.
nice bike, thanks for the video!

Clems are great. I’m sure you’d like it.
Did not expect Rocky Rocastle to pop up ever in a Riv video. Lovely bike, hope it’s getting plenty of use

Lovely stuff - really enjoying the videos. Even as a Liverpool fan 😂
Thanks! You’ve had your turn with a trophy this season. Let us have a go.
