I'd heard of Gretchen a few years ago and have been loving Vai's talent for a long time. This was a fun, unplanned hour on a Sunday afternoon. Turned the football down and my top Sony headphones up, kicked back in the recliner, feet up, eyes closed with a bit of haze in the room and Rocked Out. It's why I love the internet. You never know when you're gonna come upon a diamond & this was 50 carats.
Gretchen Menn always makes the hardest stuff look easy. Terrific musician.
I need to suck it up and spend some coin and head out to the wrong coast (lol) and see them live..... These girls are smokin'. Steve Via is at another level as always.....
Those who are not floored by this performance seem to have Zeppelin stuck in their heads.
The ladies are a tight band. Loving this. Well done. Watched the whole damn video. High Point--- Steve, of course. The whole band. DRUMMER--- Friggin awesome. Bass player, tight, comfortable. Singer-- awesome! Their guitarist was excellent, having fun! I'm going to find more out about this band. I enjoyed every minute.

You have no eye for drumming technique, that chick sucks. Shes way too loud and sloppy, and she can't do a proper fill.If you told me , 'hey man you got to this slamming drummer,' I couldn't trust your opinion now.

Grew up with zeppelin, saw them twice @ Madison Square Garden in the 70s…now I’ve been obsessed of late with Gretchen. I’m especially interested in her original work, having seen her do some live lessons/performance videos on acoustic guitar. Clean technique, total command.

Also saw them when I was 14 at MSG NYC. The first thing you noticed back then when entering MSG was the smell of weed. Saw many shows there. We were masters at getting in for free. Nothing like NYC in the 70's/80's.
Around 32 minutes in, when Steve Vai intros Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You, he played something so gorgeous that I literally got teary eyed. Wow!!! Thanks so much for the video. i just couldn't make it.

Vai's style simply does not jibe with Zep. He is a freakishly great player, but his own music/compositions are what serve him best.

I LOVE ZEPPARELLA. I THINK THEY NEED A DIFFERENT SINGER THOUGH. I DON'T WANT TO SOUND MEAN SHE IS ACTUALLY A GOOD VOCALIST SHE IS JUST SINGING OUT OF HER RANGE SO SHE IS BASICALLY SHOUTING THE WHOLE TIME. I THINK IF SHE FOUND A BAND THAT SUITED HER LOWER REGISTER SHE WOULD BE GREAT. THE REST OF THE BAND KILLS, STEVE VAI IS MY FAVORITE MUSICIAN IN THE WORLD BUT I WANTED TO HERE THE GUITARIST FROM ZEPPARELLA PLAY THESE SONGS MORE. PLUS SHE IS SMOKING HOT WICH DOESN'T HURT, THE WHOLE BAND IS BUT THEY NEED TO FIND A HOT VOCALIST WITH THAT PKANT RASP I HER VOICE. I KNOW EASIER SAID THAN DONE. The blonde singer is ok but I prefer the dark haired girl who could play the harmonica
I agree overall but she has come on a lot and I think she sounds a lot stronger and more confident now. It must be hard coming into a band to replace someone and hearing constant comparisons so fair play to her.
