    Hello Andy very neat hay cutting swathes. So unfortunate to have 2 breakdowns on front and rear mower that hay was so thick not surprised it burnt the bearings on the front PTO SHAFT .hope the combine stays free from breakdowns looking forward to more harvest videos this year.

    My baler kept burning out slip clutches to the extent I swapped the whole shaft for an older one with sheer bolts. It would block with half a bale in and just jam solid, new shaft on and apart from breaking a sheer bolt or two it’s never jammed up yet!

    The only luck you had was that rain missed you, we been making hay over at Tilshead/ on the plains and it came down heavy for half hour

    You didn't have too much luck with mowing indeed. Was it overly thick the grass? Or just worn out and unlucky?
    I mowed the 1st part of our 1st cut, heavy and flat grass on a field that barely was dry enough for a tractor. When loading the bales i got stuck with not even half a load.. but got it dry in the wrap, so thats good. 😊

    Would you not turn the engine off when trying to fix as precaution?

    It never rains but it pours as they say and you had a right downfall that day. What did you say to upset the mowers so much?

    Great video why don’t you just leave the wings on mowers up , save you some time , I’ve never lowered them and still works the same

    Jd should just stick with tractors. That mower is shite. A jf from the 90's would of cut that no problem. Buy a kuhn or a krone.

      About what I was about to say. JD don’t make mowers they just spray them jd colours.

    • @blastbeat112233
      @blastbeat112233 6 месяцев назад +5

      John Deere’s are made by Kuhn and if you think about it problems were not with the mowers manufacturer except the broken spring which was an easy fix. The blockages were because of the amount of grass and to high speed of mowing and the slip clutch is made by walterschied so it is their fault, but you cant get any better pto schafts then walterschied. So I dont think that these are bad mowers.
