Sao miguel does not make up one if the islands of Algarve archipelago. Algarve is a region south of portugal. São miguel is part of the Azores archipelago.

The J in Alentejo (which btw means beyond the Tagus) it’s not pronounced the same way as in Spanish. It’s as in English, just like jester, major or the letter g as in cage.
Not really all that well researched, which is also shown in the mispronunciation of so many places and services.
