Years ago, I went to a job interview that my ex-set up for me working for this company and that question came out and I responded "I'm old school so I would duke it out with the co-worker and after couple of blows, I would shake hands and ask "Are we good now?"...the hiring manager didn't like that answer but the guy behind her chuckled and sneered. I've never heard from them ever since...hahahahahahaha!!!

@@CareerVidz although it's a good answer for an interview, I believe it doesn't really apply to "all" real life situations . My coworker has a tendency to being a borderline bully . It's hard to communicate with someone who despises you for being an over achiever at the workplace . My co worker has been rude multiple times and tried to push me to underperform as she felt threatened . Needless to say such people are neither worth your time , nor your effort to communicate & resolve issues as they don't "believe" they are wrong . My workplace prefers that we talk to our people leader to resolve such issues . I'd prefer my people leader to understand the situation and know why I'd rather keep a DISTANCE from such a co worker as it's toxic to work with people who you don't share your values with . I'm also glad that my coworker was in line for becoming a people leader which is NO LONGER the case as she is in NO WAY a PEOPLE'S PERSON and the higher management received many complaints about her . Therefore it has literally saved the organizing from making a terrible decision . So I believe it's always good to LET THE PEOPLE LEADER KNOW and not bother trying to resolve conflicts which arise purely from personality flaws. At the end of the day we are co workers not parents .
