I was so touched when you ask about hard times and she said she didn’t remember any - I’m sure life was hard back then. Such a sweet and precious lady. We all should be like her - blessings to your family Tipper. I am really enjoying this series.
Yes and if there was hard times mom and dad never acted like it around the kids. At least mine didn't. Wow, granny was a widow after I was. My husband passed in 2014. He was only 58. I had no idea she was so fresh in widowhood.
“I always felt protected by mom and dad.” The best words in this video. What, we as parents should all focus on doing. Tipper, these videos are priceless, FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, BUT FOR US. God Bless you for sharing.
"All" Granny's children were stubborn? Surely not Tipper! 😇😉I loved her response to what she would like to leave her kids: "I want them to know how much I loved them." Can't lie, my eyes got a little moist at that. She's such a sweetheart. Thanks, and God bless!
Oh, your mom was (and still is) a beauty. Your dad was a handsome devil, too. I see you inherited your mom's gorgeous eyes. Thank you for sharing these beautiful moments with Granny. It's balm for the soul, especially in these uncertain times.
What a wonderful woman who appreciates everything God has given her. I wish more people would appreciate the life He's given us as much as Granny does.
I love granny. Bless her heart. She reminds me of my gramma. ❤ i lost her in 2018. She was 95. She taught me how to crochet ,knit, sew , many things. My mom was a single mom so gramma was like my second mom. I miss her so very much. ❤ granny. God bless you.
The 11th Commandment is: "Thou shalt not cook cornbread in anything other than cast iron" 😊✌️ I learned that at a very early age. We used to make "Sawmill Gravy" (corn mill) Hello Granny 👋 My Mom was the oldest of 13. Two passed away in infancy, a boy, Carl and a girl, Mary. Blessings from Georgia USA 🪶✨
I can't explain why, but this was my favorite Q & A that you did with Granny. You had me in tears... I lost my mom a little over two years ago and I'd give anything just to call her one more time! 🙏💟☮️
My papa who grew up during the Depression had fond memories but cried talking about it. His 4 year old younger brother died from Whooping Cough, but he rarely mentioned. MY SON IS NAMED Thomas in his honor. MY Dad was Paul. Papa(Daddy) loved the memory of his Mother feeding six kids and family on one chicken, gravy, biscuits and veggies from the garden, he was so proud of that. Loved Granny.
Hi,Granny! Mother was born and raised near the Ozark’s before the family moved to Iowa. She used to fry cornmeal mush in thin squares in an iron skillet.we loved it!
Granny has got to be the absolute sweetest, kindest, most humble person I have ever seen!!! I have never heard a negative word slip from her lips. I know she had hard times, but she chooses to dwell on the positive. God bless you precious Granny- you are loved by soooo many!❤️🙏🏻
You can really tell granny misses pap. Her little face shows the love she had for him. I just became a widow a year ago tomorrow and I really miss my husband 😥. He was my best friend and soulmate for sure.
0:14: The family resemblance is very strong with your family, because Granny looks so much like an older you, and in this picture she looks a lot like one of your daughters.
Granny was such a beautiful young girl. She had such a sweet countenance about her. She’s such a dear soul, and I am so grateful that she’s willing to share herself with us. Thank you Granny & Tipper. Be well & take care.
Hi again Tipper! One of my favorite memories of my grandmother was helping her make cornmeal mush the night before, the next morning slicing it, breading it and frying it! Then, covering it with her tomato gravy!!! I'm 67 years old and that still makes my mouth water! It made my heart swell to see you make tomato gravy! I haven't tasted it since I was 12 years old but I'm going to try your recipe, THANK YOU!
Granny is absolutely a beautiful soul and I just love her. She reminds me of my Mamaw and I know if they had met they would have been very good friends. Thank you Tipper for sharing your family with all of us. ❤
Granny, what a sweet lady you are. My heart broke when you spoke of your husband. Your love for him and how badly you still miss him was so visible it brought tears to my eyes. I love these videos "reminds me of my momma" but don't like seeing you sad. Praying for your comfort and everyone in the family. Oh and my family ate the "mush," I still love it made like Tipper recalled it. Y'all take care and Stay in his word.
Seeing Granny’s picture as a young girl I thought wow, her beautiful looks were definitely passed down to you and both your girls, Tipper. Always enjoy seeing Granny and thankful she is during so well. Thank you for sharing her with us.
Granny sounds a lot like myself By the time I was born most of my siblings were married with kids my age or older. There were 11 of us kids. I just lost my last brother. I have one sister left. This is a very sad part of my life. My heart goes out to Granny. God bless her always.
These question and answer sessions with Granny will be quite the treasure to your family in the years to come. Brought me to tears when she talked about your dad's death and being alone.
Thank you, Granny for sharing your life and family with us. Oral history is priceless because there is no intermediary reinterpreting your life's narrative.
Granny I was widowed at age 50. That was 18 years ago and you survive that loss just as you said. I still miss my husband but talk about him to my 4 little grand daughters. So glad you have family around you.
I was 47 when I was widowed. 17 yrs ago for me. You never stop missing the love of your life but I’m like you Tricia I always share stories with my 3 grandchildren about him.
How wonderful hearing Granny talking about herself. I wish I had recorded my Granny, Papaw, Mom, and Uncles talking and remembering. More precious than gold. Oh what I would give to hear their voice again.
Tipper you are a blessed lady and it's easy to see why. Granny is a very special lady. Tipper this is so good for Granny to keep her mind sharp. I love your family. God bless y'all. Love and prayers.🙏❤🙏❤🙏
Granny had the biggest, softest, most beautiful eyes! Honestly the biggest eyes I’ve seen! She is so absolutely precious and still just as beautiful! What a blessing that you still have her!
Tipper and Granny I just love these videos. She said she did not remember young love but the happiest yesr of her life was the first year she was married to Pap. You can tell she loves Jesus and her family. Love from Idaho❤
Tipper, this is absolutely wonderful, she is so sweet and she has a memory out of this world, my heart pained and ached alone with her when she talked of missing her husband. It doesn’t matter how long our loved one has been gone, it is so hard . I am 87 about her age , so I remember how life was along time ago also. , I hope she is living her life just the way she wants to. She said she eats what she likes, I go along with her on that. God bless her heart.
I just love your videos with Granny. She reminds me of my grandma so much. My grandmother crocheted too, but not too much. How they raised 9 kids during the depression. When I asked them was it tough, they all answered they didn't know it. Of course they had a garden, and hogs and a couple of cows to grow out. And one big ole mule named Mary. Granddaddy also grew tobacco. What great memories Granny has. I enjoy her so much!❤❤❤
Love this Granny !!! You look amazing ♥️🌹🙏 How pretty were you as a lil girl ?!? Priceless pictures and beautiful memories💯💯 I love how Granny always felt protected and had no hard times. Glorious soul that twinkles watching her talk. So easy to see why y’all are so giving and loving people. Rare and special.
What a lovely picture of Granny when she was young. I can see the resemblance in Corie. She's still beautiful and so sweet. God bless her and all of you Tipper.
Oh Tipper when you said dippaty do it brought back memories of my child hood and my aunts rolling their hair and mine with that setting gel sweet memories your sweet mama is such a treasure ❤
Cornmeal gravy!! I've not had that in years and years. When I was a teenager I ate so much I got foundered on it. But I sure would love to have some now. My mother made the best cornmeal gravy. Thanks for bringing back a happy memory.
So sweet and precious! Granny does a great job answering questions. Not that easy for anyone, let alone someone in their 80’s…Love the various photos! When you’re our age (50’s), our parents growing up in the 1940’s-50’s-60’s (relatively “modern” times) doesn’t seem so long ago. Time does fly so dang quick!

That says a lot! You can come from a large, not financially rich family, but if you can give that to your kids, it is really the most important!
Thank you granny
Doing these vids is very good for her cognitive health. She is simply precious 💐
