The Hamsters was hilarious 😂
I like the fact that you’re showing obscure, interesting, off the radar stuff!
I used to love finding obscure books with great covers. I spend no time on dollar bins today. I probably should.
I love that you featured some of the titles that I love to find, especially from Aircel! Thank you!
That FF 121 with white pages... so nice! That run of FF from 120-123 is tough to get in white pages.
Corben. Visually intoxicating.
Aricel was headquartered in my town of Ottawa, Canada.
HA!! I had the Black Belt Hamsters back in the day!! And GNAT-RAT! Parody of TDKR..fun stuff!
Love the variety. I have read Elflord, elfquest, and radioactive hamsters. So you are not the only one with comic sickness 😂
Great conversation on obscure books with a good contrast of personalities. Great video!
In the 80s I tried to understand underground comics but couldn’t. Although I did really enjoy Hate and Eightball.
Now I totally understand underground comics.
Great video. I cane across a run of Airboy myself from a friend. I didn’t even know they existed. I love Miracleman!!!
Co-owning a comic store in 1980s The increase in all of these independent comics became a dead load on shop as for most part did not sell well other than few titles. Low production usually, sure I still have some in my collection stock...Eclipse and Pacific sold ok. Loved the SF covers by Dave Stevens...fondly remember trading a Star Wars #1 35 cent Test market for one of early independeny comics Fantasy Quarterly #1 in 1982....:-)..
In 2 years, I have found Issue 1 of maybe 300 different Indie comics in the .25/.50 boxes, all around Chicagoland. Also, Louisville had a bunch when I went there last year.
Star Blazers was one if my favorite cartoons as a kid. If I knew there was a comic I would have had to have it. Thanks love the content
Nice comics, I have seen the hamster comics at my lcs in the dollar bin but none of the others . Rachael it must be cool to talk comics with Vigo the Carpathine everyday. Lol. I say that with the utmost respect. Thanks for the vids, I hope you both have a good one
love your videos. great information and positivity...THANK YOU!
Solson Publications is most known in the industry with Samurai Santa #1, which is Jim Lee’s first professional artwork.
You need to come up to Vancouver for one of our cons.
Loved this video! I collected all those back in the day!
If you want a couple of really fun reads I can recommend the Following, Boris the Bear(Dark Horse Comics); Miami Mice (I think it was done by Blackthorn) and SECRET DOORS (Not sure of the publisher and yes it's a parody of Secret Wars. )
I absolutely love your guys' videos! As a fairly new comic collector, I have learned so much. Thank you!!
Just a heads up; that Punisher #102 (CGC 9.6) is a newsstand edition, but it is not noted on the label due to it being older slab.
Hehe. I've got the entire run of ARBH. Love 'em!
Nice!
Grabbed a bunch of elflord recently for .25 each at LCS - Dark Tower Comics in CHI - mid grade
Ahh here you go again, dangling the Alien Worlds out there. Im all over this title, have maybe half the run, same goes with Twisted Tales, i hope you put some of these up on sale at some point. Elflord i had as a kid back in the day, same with Elf Quest, and HELL yes bring on the Corben and ive never seen that book before so a big THANK YOU for brining it to my attention. Voice of Comicdom i will be on the look out for. I have a rather small but decent Corben collection, of course most of his graphic novels but my grail was getting Death Rattle #1 while in rough shape at least i got one!!!
I don't suppose you'll be putting up any of your Corben in the sales, looking for Grim Wit #1, have #2.
When are you going to do a video on Peter Hsu's Quadrant? I dare you......
Doesn't Jim Lee have something in Texas chainsaw??
I've been ha ing a hard time finding anything black panther that's not brand new. Is thar because its all the sudden super popular, because it was never popular before, or are these just oklahoma problems
It may have to do with how much they went down and people don’t want to sell so cheap. I’ve sold some in my Monday claim sales. You may need to just keep hunting. You’ll find some.
When you were talking about the 9.8 spidey with the rippling that got me thinking. I have just started pressing and some of my books have rippling afterwards. It seemed to start after I was using the A/C in the room more, but not sure? Any advice on how to avoid or fix that afterwards?
Less humidity, higher heat and longer press.
Thanks!@@futurepastvintagecollectables
