Thank you so much Doug! Simple and precise. I am continually amazed at the capabilities of the Tone Master Pro but could never get a grasp or understanding of the IR function on the TMP. You have educated me yet again! Thanks as always. I do have a question though when I go on the cloud and demo an uploaded preset that has an aftermarket IR (which I do not have loaded onto my TMP does that mean it bypasses that IR?? Thanks again! Are there uploaded presets with IRs on the cloud? I didn't think that was possible. But to answer your question, since your TMP doesn't have that IR already loaded in your IR Manager, the IR would be empty - and I would imagine the preset that you're auditioning would sound weird!
It appears there are more presets uploaded to the cloud & yes without the ability to hear the settings sound almost disturbing & inaudible. Thanks for all of your support Doug! Always appreciated
Thanks for the informative video. I have some questions. The Ir's that I have gotten have folders for 44100, 48000, & 96000. Then also 200ms & 500ms. How do I chose which ones to use. Does it matter which one I choose?
I was able to import them, and there were a LOT of them. All different cab types with sampling rates, mic types, etc. Gonna tinker with it today and see what happens.
Hello but if you get 600 différents IR ,it s almost impossible to try them all before making a choose …and the choose may be complicated as you Don t remember all what you,ve heard…so how to choose the best IR in a faster way?
Usually I start with the IRs that were done with an SM 57, or you try the 1st IR for each mic, that sort of thing. You could also get a lop playing on the looper so that you can swap out IRs without having to play guitar at the same time. It can be a timely process if you want to be thorough.
@michelraffin7006,This my friend leads to analysis paralysis and one of the reasons I stayed away from this stuff. You spend more time trying things out instead of playing. This is how it typically goes - tweak, play, tweak, play - ah that sounds good until about 10 minutes later you think to yourself I bet I can make this better and repeat above ad infinitum. Just play!!
I don’t want to waste my time downloading and sampling IR’s. I just want to come up with some good tones and play. Why aren’t the IR’s that go to the original cabs already good enough. It doesn’t make sense to me why something that costs so much doesn’t come with the perfect sounding IR’s in the first place.

Now you can select your IR curves for 3rd party IR's! They added this back in the June firmware update.

Completely off this topic but can you copy presets so you can edit them while keeping the original untouched?
Yes - you can pull up a preset, hit "save" and then tell it to save to the next empty preset, where you can edit and rename it.

You can try them all, as the TMP will compensate.
Can you show us how to setup a preset for a nylon guitar with piezo pickup ?
I don't have a nylon with a piezo but I do have a steel-string acoustic with a piezo. The concepts would be the same tho, so I'll add it to the list.

When I owned an original Headrush Pedalboard, I bought the EVH IR pack from Celestion for it. Will those work with the TMP?
