I just got one a few weeks ago. Definitely my favorite so far. I have a Fractal that I had for a few years. It's a BEAST but I don't always feel like menu diving. I like the simplicity and UI of the TMP
Nobody knew if Fender was going to provide regular updates. People were skeptical on it when it first released. But it looks like Fender is providing updates.
love how people are switching on the modeler now than when it first came out, ever since fender started releasing 6 month updates the ones who hated on it @ first are now switching up, crazy 2 see
This thing sounds great and is really coming along. I remember when it first released there was a fair bit of criticism about how the models reacted with third party IRs, something to do with speaker impedance curves and that made it “less accurate” and more difficult to tweak. Has that been resolved yet?
How long do we think they'll continue to provide updates, another year? Loving what they've done in 1.4, if that was the last update its still worth the cash.
Fender please release a smaller version of this similar in size to the new Headrush model. I bought the Fender Mustang Micro Plus and it is the best thing I’ve bought for guitar in years.
It really is a great unit and converting a lot of people! There are gonna be good black friday deals at the affiliate links in my bio if you'd like to support the channel when you buy!
Yeah I brought the TMP to the high school I work at and it's converted pretty much every kid from their dream amp - definitely a sign of the times. Any songs they need to play for recitals are now perfectly tuned in, if there's two guitarists or a bassist - we can run two seperate lines on the TMP. Our recital nights sound fkn wicked now
quick question - can you switch through the scenes remotely with midi - i like to fully automate my show so I can concentrate on entertaining and not worry about tap dancing ???
Thanks for the video! I have a student with a Tonemaster Pro, version 1.1.100. I can't seem to get it to connect to any of my Macs...not via bluetooth and not via the USB cable. I downloaded the Pro Control App and made all the connections, but the app keeps asking to plug in the USB...any experience with this issue? Cheers from Belgium!
Hello belgium ! Get it fully up to date and try again. Instructions are right on the site and it's easy to do. The editor probably isnt compatible with 1.1
@@SteveSterlacci right, but...in order to get it 'up to date' I need the editor, no? The updates are done via the editor as far as I can see...or did I miss that bit...
@@SteveSterlacci wow, thanks buddy! I'll get to it! Totallt different workflow compared to my Fractal stuff. I do love the Tonemaster Pro, very straightforward to programme and (most of all) a breeze to fine tune in a live situation. With my FM3, not so ;)
Hi Can someone tell me what is the difference between the pitch shifter pedal and the virtual capo ? Are they not the same thing ? Any help appreciated
Ok, I am really impressed! When this was first released and I tried one out, I thought it was bland & just too large of a paper weight for the price. Now I would definitely have to admit that it's certainly jumped by leaps and bounds. The sounds seem to pretty crisp & very clean! I wonder if Fender will have a smaller version like the Helix or Tonex kind of things. I'm pretty impressed!
Would be nice to show a double row of amps and effects instead of the single that you have to scroll back and forth to see whats hiding outside of the screens view left and right. Wouldn't consider this until that's fixed.
So…this or Stomp XL, or something else? Honest opinion without someone pushing something? Getting that on RUclips is tough. Whether it is not wanting to piss off the company…or miss sales. I think I am looking for a video comparing all and trying to crap on them all. That way I know it would be honest. (Not literally crap on them….or maybe there is a market for that?) If you had the choice to have one, which would it be?
Check out my video on the workflow of the helix vs TMP. I currently use HX XL onnmy touring board, but I am supplementing onna board with a built in wireless, OD pedal and my fav di box. So for my set up, hx is best. It comes down to which situation works best for you. They will ALL sound as good as you can make them sound
What a shame they didn't fix the awful Chorus pedals, seems like their prioritising is somewhat skewed; adding a second Mythic drive before fixing an existing effect???
For me, it all depends on what you’re trying to do. A lot of people like having things to play with, there’s nothing wrong with that! I’m on a simplifying journey, trying to remove options to (hopefully) increase creativity and productivity. That being said, nothing has helped me get the sound in my head quicker than the TMP.
Honestly - If you have QC, this will sound like shit. I have a QC and got the Tone Master - not even the same ball park as captures you have on QC (since Tone Master only has models - no captures). I just bought a tube amp and returned the Tone Master. I am happy with a tube amp and QC. Save your money - you will be disappointed. Have fun withe the QC :)
I remember when you dunked on it...The unit is just over a year old now. Look how far it's come. Personally, I think it's the best modeler unit out.

I bought one in the summer, along with an FR 12 cab. it’s all I use these days, hardly use any pedals or tube amps. It’s a great bit of kit 🎸🤘

TMP is shaping up to be really good. I like that it has senes view. Thanks for the review !!
I love that its open format as well! Really nice touch
Scenes are game changer. I love TMP
I have it since day one. I wasn’t so impressed at the beginning. It has improved immensely.
I like the simplicity of the TMP, but I love the sounds I get with the Fractal FM9 more.
Man, your hair is looking luscious
I grow it myself!
Amazing you’re keeping track of all the updates on all the key digital devices. Nice job Steve.
You can save & import individual presets directly on desktop now - making buying & selling preset packs possible
Huge!

I think the benefit of having a stereo EQ is that you can use it after other stereo effects without making them mono.

Be honest steve, how does it sound in person compared to fractal?
Can you please show how to use the gig view using the "song" approach and scenes? How does it work?
The TMP is really catching my attention.
Personally, the TMP was the best and most inspiring gear decision i maybe ever made
I just got it this week - believe me, it’s amazing.

@PatDeJongeSoundwise no it's a download that you drag into the unit via computer. There is an "update mode" you boot up in

@PatDeJongeSoundwise yep its very different from the fractal stuff. I think being so easy to figure out is whats converting a lot of players!
Damn all companies been going full out on dropping everything they’ve got
They wanna sell Christmas presents
@@BobbyCulpepper.srv3fenderabsolutely agree with that!
Hi Can someone tell me what is the difference between the pitch shifter pedal and the virtual capo ? Are they not the same thing ? Any help appreciated
the virtual capo is built to work with chords and has lower latency than the pedal shifter. the pedal shifter is simply a model of the old whammys
Is it poss to pan some frequencies separately

Love the graphic interface of the editor
They’ve shown themselves to be way more capable than Ndsp.

I’m trying to convince myself that I don’t need this along with my Quad Cortex and ToneX lol.
You don't NEED any of them. But just buy all of them anyway. Use my Afilliate links too LOL

@ Ok! Thanks
There are reasons they will never put this in a combo with an FRFR-12. It would make the Tone master amps obsolete
Or they could charge more for ot 😅
Tonemaster could have been a stepping stone, or the mid tier team offering
