A normal room at the City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati is 3,000 PHP a night. Even without an upgrade it’s a decent room and food is not bad! ;) and yes you have to pay, government does not sponsor the hotel rooms

please, instead of giving foreigners an idea of the ins and outs if they travel here in the Philippines, just tell them don't. even our kapwa pinoys, just tell them dont. Wil, you probably dont know how bad the situation is here but please try to understand and learn. WE. DONT. WANT. TRAVELERS.
the government, as you may know, has not been very consistent and competitive to fight this virus. and you, instead of telling people to come here, tell them to not come here. we want tourists, but during this times no. please no.

Just so happened na na-upgrade ung room nila because no one really taking hotel reservations right now or probably Wil is a vlogger. If this COVID didn't exist, this Grand Suite costs $608/night! Hotels need to make money 😮

Hi Wil, happy new year, you got very lucky for your travel back to the Philippines. We was stranded on September 06 on the Airport Manila for 3 days. With our 2 small dogs. Sleeping on plastic chairs and not really treated nice. Because I am German, married with Filipina and our 3 Kids, German passport holder. Rules changed August 27 and everybody needs now Visa before coming to the Philippines. Our Airline don't inform us and let us travel here.
Than we got our results after 2 days, and needs to have 14 days quarantine in our house. Checked every day from the Barangay. But happy we made it,even with all the stress.

Yeah, wifi is life!!!!!!! I go into panic attacks when my internet service provider is going thru an update even if it is just a glitch 😄
In the province, positive or negative result once you arrive here ypu have to undergo quarantine 14 days if positive, 7 days if negative, home quarantine if you have a house with your own room.and cr where you can isolate yourself or if you don't have you are directly quarantined to school or any gov't designated facility.

Will your lucky swab test is cheaper now before Sept 6,2020 we pay at the airport or swab test 4,500. The reduced now huh. Tatlo kami on that time from Chicago just got our result for 18 hours only then move to regular room para maka labas.

That's why the "City Garden Grand Hotel" was so familiar in my ears, because of your vlog Wil, and its a hot topic over the news nowadays due to the death of a Flight Attendant during the New Year. Then, I just heard from news that DOT revoked hotel's license to operate due to violation for 6-months ata, a known Quarantine Hotel but they still accept vacation/stay-cation guests. Imagine, few days after this vlog was captured, a sad event will happen in this hotel :-( If you stayed for 1 more week or 2 weeks, OMG. @2:27, I saw that lady in the news today.

The 14 days quarantine came from the fact that incubation period can take that long. If you actually got infected in the plane or right before your flight, it will not show a positive test result until a few days later.

Its true mostly are coming from US my uncle who travel to swiss last november tested negative and then we flew to qatar going to US he tested negative but going back to qatar from US he tested negative but a day before he finished his quarantine stay at the hotel for some reason he gets itchy throat and body pain then he ask for another test then the result turned positive but it only mild covid. So be really careful.

In Australia, all the passengers doing the hotel quarantine won’t have a close contact except the military, and 2 receptionists at the back entrance where only the people quarantining will enter. After that, no contact with hotel staff from day 1 till the 14th. So basically only the military and healthcare that professionals can contact us. I guess that’s what they need to do to at least lessen the transmission especially in the Philippines not all can get tested

Stayed there tho not for quarantine. Loved it and it's very new and clean. Love also you got a choice of what type of pillows you wanna use.

Ganun talaga, Will had worked hard for it kung san sya ngayon. Yes, im a regular citizen and did try to ask for a spacious seat sa plane from my flight (LAX-MNL) diff airline. And i know na less than 50% lng yung capacity kaya nag try ako to ask but hindi na grant ng FA sabi nya i have to pay extra. Ano kaya feeling e upgrade for free? or treated like a king or queen? Anyways, Maligayang PAsko sa lahat.!

I am going home by January 2021 but I cannot base on this video because I think you got a special treatment . Supposedly you cannot stay together in one room and for us ordinary people we will only be getting the normal room instead of this suite.
