I've seen Blue October a total of 7 times... hands down the most under rated and under appreciated band of atleast my generation..
Wow! I’ve seen lots of live and intimate concerts but this is by far the best performance and story telling I’ve ever seen!
Justin is amazing at it!! I love his sense of humor and everything. He said he wants to take this to Broadway one day. I hope he gets there! Thanks for watching and commenting! I just have to say I wouldn't be alive without him and a lot of other people can say that too. 💚

I saw justin do this exact show in Iowa City 08/05/2019. It changed my life. After speaking to him about my addiction issues, he came out from behind the merch table, hugged me, and said he would be praying for me.

I am a bit surprised it was okay to record the entire show though for us! So it is really appreciated. All the videos are. I have been to any show I can go to in NC. There is nothing like a live show with this man and band.
Yes! I am able to record all of their shows, I'm lucky that Justin knows and doesn't care at all. The whole band knows me (except Will, I have only been able to meet him a couple times). But I have 3 other Open Book shows, one of them is from this April, right now it's unlisted but I'm going to publish it when I put in all the details. I'll post the link here, so you can watch it if you want to! I have seen them 22 times and 4 Open Book shows!! I am so glad they come to Dallas area a lot! I have a lot of stories about Justin, he always makes me feel special, and tells me he loves me when I see him 😭 it's so sweet!
The one from this year there's not a lot of talking, because he was really itching to play music again! But it's still great as always! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I have over 200 Blue October videos on my channel and I actually have an acoustic show I need to upload too from June of this year, so keep watch for that! I was right up front by the stage, and at the end of the show, very last thing he did, Justin grabbed a water from his stash, opened it up, and came over and handed it to me!!! Then he walked off stage! After the show, he and Ryan were signing merch, so I had him sign the water bottle for me! And right after that we both looked each other in the eyes and said "I love you" at the same time! 😁🥰 He actually opened the cap on the water for me because he knew I was filming! (It was an outdoor venue and super hot that day, so the water was also super hot, I didn't drink it, lol) That's just one story I have about him though. I am really honored to have the interactions with him that I do, he is truly my hero and has definitely saved me from doing something horrible to myself!!

I just bought a ticket for June 12, 2021 for the online Blue Storytelling! Can't wait!
I am actually going to skip that. Having seen Open Book 4 times (I still have one from April I need to upload), and seen them so many times I can't imagine hearing something new on the storytelling thing... Plus I've bought every single thing they've done online in the last couple of years, lol. Buuuuut, I get to see them !!!! June 17th! And I will have video of that whole show as well! So funny thing I asked him durning a live stream if the song would ever get a proper album release and he said yes! He mentioned he wants to do a album with older songs that were never released!
Oh wow that's awesome! I just saw them a few days ago. Unfortunately my videos aren't that great because I was having problems with my camera. But they're decent. I still have a ton I have to upload though from Open Book he's done and the acoustic show they did over the summer. Lol. Plus I have videos of other concerts that I need to upload! But they announced they're coming to Dallas on April 1. I don't know what kind of seats are left, it's a really old famous venue. I'm sure Justin is stoked to play there! I hope I can get good video of that one, because this past show, it was just a mix of a few things that made it not much fun for me. However, after the show Justin and Ryan were signing merch. They've been doing that, when I saw them in the summer I told them I was engaged, well my fiancée is a huge Blue October fan, we got together on a Facebook page for something completely random and having nothing to do with Blue October. I always tell her she had me at Blue October. Lol, but I got to actually say to them "hey remember how I said I was engaged?" And then got to introduce her to them. She was so happy she got to meet him too. Unfortunately no pictures this time, but I'm hoping to do the soundcheck experience thing in April. We'll see. There's so many freaking concerts now! Lol. Already have tickets to Muse (March 3) and Placebo (May 8)... And Placebo, I've been waiting for 16 years to see them!!!! Super super excited for that! Muse is playing at a new venue I've never been to, I hope the sound is good. At the show a few days ago (the 15th) they did something to make his voice all staticy. Not on purpose. It was just a crappy sound system or something! Sounded like he was singing through a distortion pedal or something.
Anyway that's super cool! I love love love a lot of the older songs I've heard, so that would be awesome to have an album with some old stuff like that!
Who knows, Painted Blue might be on part 2 or part 3(!!) of this album. He kept saying it was gonna be a double album, when you open the CD case it says part 2 coming soon, and part 3 coming soon! I was like ohhhhh hell yeah! He wrote like 80 songs during the "lockdown", and he wrote a bunch with Billy Corgan recently. So he's got songs for years! 😂😂
I was lucky enough to see them at SPAC with the goo goo dolls this summer. They were amazing. When they announced the tour and they had the egg on it I was stoked! I have a bunch of videos from the concert! They were fantastic! They posted on instagram after the last show of this leg and the egg had a heart next to it! Hope they come back to upstate NY! Was an amazing show!

They haven't released any Open Book shows on DVD. There's another show available for rent/purchase on their website getbackup.tv, I haven't seen it but I think it's pretty close to this one. Thanks for watching!
