I loved them both, but only had a relationship with my biological father because my dad made me promise that I would. He wanted me to have a dad after he'd passed away, and I'm grateful to him every day for who he was and what he did for me. Because of him I'm a strong person and have overcome obstacles that would cripple many. All of my strength is because of him, and I never even called him "dad". But he knew. I've spent 18 years believing he knew. I have to believe that. And I believe your dad knew it, too. As a mom, I know my boys love me, even if they never said it again, I'd know. My daughter will be 7 this year.. I havent seen her since her 4th birthday, before that, the last time I saw her was her 2nd birthday. Her mother and I learned about my schizophrenia when she was barely over a year. A big contributing factor to the ending of us. But if Justin can make it through hell to the other side, I can too..

I’ve been with Blue October since 2002… it’s been a great ride. I just wish this band would have made it more mainstream than they did, they have such a powerful message for everyone. I would've given anything for my Dad to look at me with adoring eyes like Justin looks at Blue. Unfortunately, all he cared about was drinking. He's been dead now for about 10 years. We didn't speak for many years prior to his passing. Justin is a good Dad. It's obvious that he loves his daughter very much; and even though she's rolling her eyes now, doesn't mean that she doesn't secretly love the attention he gives her. Good job Justin! For many years I've cried over beautiful father/daughter relationships wishing I could have one myself. Growing up I was beaten, made fun of, name calling, Teenager restricts were just unfair, I had to be in by 7.30pm, forbidden to play with other kids in the village, when I was a kid. And was forbidden to hang with the teenagers in the village, who by then started bullying me. My first really job my wages taken off me, given back bus fare to get to work. Clothes were rags, shoes holes in them, got bullied at work. Met my husband. MY saviour

This makes me so happy. Any Man in America got me through a very dark time in my life when I had to fight for my son through a custody battle. My son just turned 18 last month and hearing Justin's words made me realize someone else knew the pain I was suffering through. Seeing them happy now parallels with the peace I now feel. Ok. So i have listened to his music(his story) and i get the depth of this video. And i have to say, as much as i connect to, love, and RESPECT everything he has shown me so far, this, by far, is the most fitting depiction of his success so far. Gave me the feels!!! My daughter is 16 years old and a PTSD victim. And I work in the recovery field. She has been struggling hardcore lately. And I have been trying my damnedest to get her through this episode. This gave me renewed faith that we can do it together. And reminds my of how amazing my girl is. And how proud of her I am. My relationship with my kids is the reason I am still breathing. Thank you Justin and Blue!! You guys are amazing!!!

When you know all that is beaitiful...majestic..a daughters unconditional love there is nothing more powerful and driving.... Then to learn the hell of having it ripped from your life and any chance of moving forward in life as a broken home...but a happy split custody agreement... His frustration and hurt is all over his face especially when speaking on time apart....interference and noncompliant posers..... He is a blessing and chosen gift to our mankind.... Never met him...would love to... Believe hes one who even when burnt to the core still knows and shows what a HUMAN BEING is.....man or woman... Talented beyond measure... What a blessing

This makes me so happy. Any Man in America got me through a very dark time in my life when I had to fight for my son through a custody battle. My son just turned 18 last month and hearing Justin's words made me realize someone else knew the pain I was suffering through. Seeing them happy now parallels with the peace I now feel. Thank God for closure.

Ok. So i have listened to his music(his story) and i get the depth of this video. And i have to say, as much as i connect to, love, and RESPECT everything he has shown me so far, this, by far, is the most fitting depiction of his success so far. I used to claim his acoustic version of Fear as the best representation of his story....and trust me, that video shows his raw humanity and beauty quite excellently, this video is the same only this is the newer and even more improved justin (and his heart). And i must say... Justin...congrats! You did it! You are an inspiration to all who feel like you have felt. And you show us how possible it is to rise above.
