Oh yes......that's right. No starchy foods and sugar......I feel that dairy also is inflaming my hands and knees and other body parts, trying to wean myself off these things.....starches are easier to start with, then dairy, I don't eat alot of the fruits that I used to (no apples, pears, peaches, pineapple, oranges, pink grapefruit) I do still eat berries (I love Strawberries....and blueberries, and raspberries too.) I live Brussels sprouts! and Asparagus...broccoli and cauliflower. Green Beans, and cabbage, and salad mix greens. I love Black Olives and green Olives, avocados, I use Olive Oil and Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, and butter. I got some Ghee to try. I love brown organic Eggs fried in bacon grease, ham, beef and pork, I love fish, and Salmon too. Walnuts and Almonds plus sunflower seeds are pumpkin seeds, chia seeds and flax seeds too. I use mustard, garlic powder and onion powder, pink Himalayan salt and pepper , I use cayenne pepper and dill, and turmeric to flavor foods. I have a basic understanding of what to eat and do. I have a sensitivity to caffeine when I was younger and didn't drink coffee until about 12 years ago when I started working 12 hour shifts at the Hospital (in foodservice, I served breakfast, lunch and dinner meal trays to up to 32 patients on the 7th floor. The Neurological unit. I also had to pass a mini course in diet nutrition to be able to get the position. We went room to room and took the meal orders. Like a waitress. ) so, basically I started drinking coffee, with heavy cream plus vanilla creamer.....and brown sugar too. Yikes! Over the last 6 months I have weaned myself off all that and now I can drink my coffee Black. Lol...(my parents would really get a kick out of that, unfortunately they are both deceased.) Well......I guess that I'll go for now. Take care.....😊👍
Neisha, i too have Hashimoto thyroiditis, been doing keto since oct 2019 and cant lose weight. They removed my thyroid due to cancer, What can i do to lose weight with this disease? Im also type 2 diabetes as well. I love eating keto too!

I just cry! I'm 67 and Ken has saved my life. I'm down 64 #'s this year. My deabilating inflamation is gone. I didn't get sick. I am strong. My mind is much clearer. My road rage is gone. My stress is gone. I'm Happy Thanks to You Neisha and your awsome Ken D Berry MD I am over whelmed with emotion of gratitude for the greatest huge gift of your videos. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Forever yours Sincerely Eldon!!!!!
I’m 66. I’m having diarrhea issues at times and not loosing much weight. But I’m going to stick with it. I have gotten my blood sugars under control still with the help of metformen
@@karenoconnor4694 Just 20 min. on the road we see road rage. 5 months ago I quit alcohol. I was immediately hit with a severe craving for sugar and carbs. After weeks of struggling I tried Vegas nerve reset. Using a breathing exercise called 4x4. My carb crave stopped. 24 hours later the crave was back. If I reset every day the crave stays away. More research shows I have latent shock, latent trama. During reset I remember each incident and now even to my birth. My Mother told me how bad it was for her. One of the doctors on youtube relates this to Vegas nerve individuals norm. When remembering these I self talk positive such as Wow! I'm glad I survived that. I'm happy to be here today. The vegas nerve disfunction is even related to obesity and total human health. My favorite reset is listening to vegas nerve reset music on youtube. My work on my trama is working and i'm happy than ever. The breathing exercise 4x4 is used by special forces before an action. After the exercise they use 6x. 4x4 is breath in for 4 seconds; hold it for 4 seconds; breath out for 4 seconds; hold for 4 seconds then repeat. The 6x is breath in for 6 seconds; then breath out for 6 seconds then repeat. Bring our lives out of (fight or flight) back to calm and healing is the greatest. Never stop trying, when brought to rage remember calm and healing. Reset now and often.
@@eldonmontgomery2465 thats so good. You have obviously made huge improvements in your life. I do yoga and meditation and have found it to be very helpful. Keep going strong. 😀
I am on keto for about 2 weeks where i understand what i am doing. My pain level was so horrible i had been suicidal often. Not being able to stand to get to bathroom. No sleep. Just a joy to be around. Now in the past few days. I wake up pain free and content. Still not sleeping great but getting a few hours opposed to hardly any. I listen to both the Doctor's videos and yours. I am a newbie. I believe i have a future instead of wishing secretively for death. Im just beginning. Thank You and your Doctor husband.
How are you doing now? I completely sympathize with what you said because I was going down that "suicidal road" as well. I had brain surgery to remove a brain tumor (which was benign thank God) but I lost my job, my house and had to move to another state to be with family in order to recover. I gained lots of weight during my long recovery and now I recently found out I have fatty liver and pancreas and have been in a lot of pain. I just began the Keto Diet 4 weeks ago and I have already lost 12 pounds and am feeling better. My pain level has gone from an 8-9 to a 3-4/2-3 (each day is a little different depending on what I eat and don't eat.) I still have discomfort but I keep telling myself I didn't get this way overnight so I shouldn't expect everything to get better overnight, but it is still challenging and quite a struggle. I am hoping in a couple more months I will have no pain and no discomfort. I have just switched over to Ketovore as of yesterday because I have not been losing any more weight. We shall see how it goes! Lots to learn still! I thank God for leading me to Dr Berry & Neisha! I don't know what I would have done without them! Hope you are doing well! I have added you to my prayer list!
You are the only person I've ever heard of doing "ketovore". I'm so glad you pinned a name for this because this is what I naturally gravitated to after trying keto and carnivore. I feel the best on carnivore but occasionally need just the littlest bit of freedom. Sometimes I just need a pickle or avocado...or even a tomato(dont tell).
Stefanie F Same. Ketovore is sustainable for me. I am working out my cap for protein grams as its important for my mental health to stay in ketosis. On my 4th year. Its a miracle for me.
I was watching Neisha and thinking, I like her, she thinks like me. I want the wiggle room. Chances are, I'm always going to feel better eating meat. Chances are I'll eventually go full carnivore, no dairy. But being restrictive doesn't work for me. I watched someone else's video this morning where the woman said, "I'm never going to say, I can't eat that. The way I look at it is, I choose not to eat that." And that's better. Psychology. If I can have it, I don't crave it.
What effect does carnivore have on autophagy and the reduction of loose skin while consuming so much protein? I was under the impression that for your body to utilize the protein within your loose skin, you need to reduce protein consumption. Confused!!!
Thank you for posting this. I was doing ketovore and didn't know it. I have hashimoto, diabetes, heat disease. I felt great but let doctors tell me to stop and I gained back 20lbs of 38lbs lost. I'm going back to what works. Thank you for all your info
Thanks for this video. My daughter started eating carnivore almost a month ago after watching me. Her issue is she likes sauces with some of her meats. I told her that she has to do what works for her and not everybody else. I'll make sure she sees this.
You are absolutely right about every body being different. I jumped on the vegan band wagon after what the health came out. I did it for 3 years and developed cystic acne, chronic fatigue, loss of muscle, lost bone density, skinny fat, dry skin, dandruff, emotionally all over the place, sweet tooth (would eat one banana and crave three more, vegans would say that’s healthy (no fructose is sugar, O was hooked to a sugar high). On top of that I are clean vegan but after 3 years developed allergic reactions to legumes, beans, lentils, rice and many fruits and veggies. Whereas I have friends who literally are perfectly healthy on vegan. I tried being like them. Purchased thousands of dollars worth of supplements and superfoods. It wasn’t until I started gaining weight heavily and started having numbness and inflammation in my joints that I knew I couldn’t eat vegan. Lost friends because I picked my health over the religion of veganism. Going keto has literally saved me. My ancestors are mountain people thriving on lamb and bone broth. I no longer am ashamed of being meat based, it’s healing
Tamise, good for you. I suppose this is a walk away movement for the health spectrum. Two years ago my 75 year old twin sister lost a breast to cancer and decided to go vegan. She became a vegan preacher. I wanted to support her. I juiced, took supplements, ate salads and less chicken, although she said don't eat anything with eyes. I mean, the chicken I buy doesn't even have heads. 😂 But then came a Carnivore video. After one month I told my sister. "I only eat things with eyes." Needless to say, that conversation ended in an argument. Ugh! Honestly, I think vegans are more of a cult than anything else. Congratulation on your continual recovery. I am a radical senior. I believe I can live long and strong and venture into a new career. Yay! What hope we have.
I have a few ex-vegan friends who have the same story as you, they did it for a few years, started out feeling great but ultimately they started to notice some concerning things. I think the bottom line is we are not all the same. Some people who are vegetarian or vegan do really well on it, and some don’t.
Me too. I tend to lean heavy on carnivore but do use spices and some sauces and very small/limited veg (riced cauliflower/avocado/grilled onions/jalepenos). But like you, I consider it more "trace" veg versus anything substantial. I did start with standard Keto last Labor Day weekend and been doing ketovore for probably last 5-6 months. As we almost arrive at my 1 year of change, I've dropped 70 lbs. I'm no longer testing as a type 2 diabetic and no longer on any meds for diabetes or high blood pressure. I've seen my A1C as high as 11 in my life and my July 1 lab was 4.7. This has changed my life and without any exercise (though I plan to incorporate some soon).
This is about how I eat. Minus the Brussels Sprouts, add a bit of frozen green beans once or twice a week instead. Some 90% dark choc, a few berries occasionally for a treat. Works well for me, 95% calories from animals. I think people get dogmatic and unless they have specific sensitivities there is no need to.
Same! ot fibro, but chronic back pain. It disappears when I avoid what doesn't suit me, and eat avocados nearly every day. Mushrooms, green beans, zucchini, pumpkin, a little yam and romaine lettuce work well for me, too.
Hi Neisha, I’ve been keto for 5 months and have trended towards ketovore. I’m in the process of reversing type two diabetes of 22 years and this way of eating is working great to help in this process. I’m a former vegetarian/vegan. That way of eating for most of my adult life was slowly but surely killing me. I also tried the American Diabetes diet too that ended in making my numbers go through the roof. 4 years ago I was put on insulin to try to get my numbers down, I gained 23 lbs topping me out at 179, I’m 5’5”. After just 5 months on a keto/vore diet I’m down 37 lbs and completely off the 170 units of short and long acting insulin. Many other health benefits as well have come from eating the proper human diet. I so appreciate all I’ve learned from you and Doc Berry and will be forever grateful to you both. Blessing to you from Guam. 🌴🌺🌴❤️✨🥰✨💫
Thank you t2d and my numbers are dropping and getting more consistent high 90s low 100s Much better than high 100a ,200,300s I was trying to push back with insulin injections
Add berberine and benfotimine to help with your diabetes. Keto and those two supplements brought my A1c down from 6.9 to 5.3. Glucose down from 119 to 93. Goodluck!
Thank you for the video. I am carnivore with coffee unless it is a celebration then I dip into keto treats. Love you and dr. Berry's take on the proper human diet. My oldest daughter 8 is ketovore and my youngest daughter 7 is carnivore both are doing so well on it. My whole family went to this way of eating a little over a year ago which is about the same time I found you on youtube. Thank you for all you 2 do.
I feel ya! I want a veggie every once in awhile! Keto isn’t restrictive feeling to me and it’s sustainable. At this point carnivore doesn’t feel sustainable. I love mushrooms with my meat
I’m so glad I found this video. I’ve lost ten lbs on keto from the last three weeks. But I have 90 lbs to go but I am willing to do whatever it takes to get me down faster.
My son was obese, 5'11" and 310 lbs. He's built like a truck and started KETO after seeing me lose about 20 lbs in 6 months (64 yo mom). He ate a ton of eggs, egg salad, avocado, chicken, beef, bacon, sausage and greens. He lost 100 pounds in 8 months. His mental health, sleep, fitness, complexion.... everything improved. Not to mention the positive feedback he got from family and coworkers was uplifting. He'll never consume drive through fast food again
Keto helps people to grow up, to take responsibility of one's own well being...thank you for sharing your experiences, Neisha and Dr Berry for backing it up with scientific information. It's liberating...
You and Dr. Berry are such inspirations. My husband and I met you both at KetoCon 2019 and we were hoping to see you both again this year. But unfortunately, it was postponed. I am on the fence of going carnivore but now that you mentioned Ketovore I think I can do that. During this Covide 19 quarantine, I've put back almost 14 lbs of the 70lbs that I've lost. Watching you has inspired me to get back on track and stay motivated. Thank you for that.
Hi Neisha! I am hooked on your videos and Dr Bs. I am 2 week into this way of life. My goal is 30lb loss I am down 7.5 lbs in 2 weeks! Thank you so much for taking time to help people. My husband was 320 he is now 298 2 WEEKS LATER!
I eat grass fed ground meat, make them into patties. Organic air chilled chicken legs or thighs and grass fed butter, organic eggs. Mackerel and anchovy paste and kraut and a small amount of veggies. I drink 90 to 112 ounces water a day and about 4-5 cups organic coffee a day. I found some good un-cured bacon as well.
i agree. i am strict carnivore. but once a week or so i eat a ripe avocado (aguacate maduro) and i think its perfectly ok other than that, its all meats, yolk eggs, seafoods, butter, chicken, liver, bacon so yummy and nutricious
My family has a history of gallbladder disease. Our household was carnivore for a year after a few years of keto. However my son and I both had to have cholecystectomies to remove our non-functioning gallbladders. Since then, even though it's been 2 years, carnivore is too rough on our digestion. We found a healthy balance with ketovore. Adding just a bit of keto food aids our digestion. I love watching your videos and hearing your take on how you do things to stay healthy. ☮️
I'm so glad I found your channel and cannot thank you enough for sharing your story and all of this vital information! I had a great first response to Keto when I first started it, but within 6 months my thyroid had a bad reaction to my diet and stress and whatnot - I've been suffering through the symptoms of Hashimoto's for the last couple years and every diet I've tried hasn't worked. I recently learned that a lot of the things I thought were great for me were actually working against my Thyroid. I am so grateful to hear your experience with Ketovore and I've started today - full stop! I am used to experimenting with my diet so I've already removed a ton of stuff, and I'm hoping this a walk in the park. Bless you and thank you, thank you, thank you!
My ketovore diet consists of eating just meat with a bit of cheese (I don't like eggs but if I did I would totally add that in). My meat pretty much consist of boneless skinless chicken (no need for grass fed here as all that grain fed crap is mostly in the skin/fat) , grass fed beef, pasture raised pork sausage, ham and once in a while bacon. My spices include tumeric, black pepper, pink Himalayan Salt and Kirkland no salt seasoning. The Oil I cook my meat in EVOO for its anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties (oleic acid), I will have pea protein isolate (digests slower and doesn't raise insulin quickly like whey protein isolate does) chocolate sweetened with stevia. Finally in my bulletproof coffee I have cinnamon, tumeric, ginger, black pepper, pink Himalayan salt, cocoa (antioxidants), coconut milk (MCT's and Lauric acid) some grass fed ghee (CLA conjugated linoleic acid and butyric acid) Allulose and honey (antioxidants). If you use honey you absolutely must use allulose as allulose doesn't break down in body and goes out urine but it takes the same transporter as glucose and fructose and makes it so that those go out your urine as well and don't affect your carb intake and kick you out of ketosis
Would you kindly explain what allulose honey is? I enjoy raw, unfiltered honey, from a beekeeper just 40 or so miles away, and heavy cream in my hot tea daily. Thanks for your help in advance.
Thank you for this video. I went from Keto to carnivore for a month and felt great. Not a veg fan so much but do love avocados and a salad once in awhile. KETOVORE ON!
Love this video, thank you! I'm doing Ketovore too. I just started 2 weeks ago, and already feel significantly better. Since decreasing dairy and veg, my inflammation is down, sleep seems better, and I have a lot more energy. I'm hoping that I'll see more benefits in the future.
This is me. I'd love to be carnivore but the ketovore thing is a great compromise to feel good and sustain things longterm. I'm so grateful for this channel. You're kind of taking over Dr Ken for me right now 🤣🤣
I am so much like you Neisha! I do so much better not eating too much veg. I like how I feel on more of a carnivore diet, but I like a little variety in my meal like you! Sometimes I’ll do a stretch and just eat carnivore and once in a while I add a little something to that. I like the way I feel eating carnivore!
Good to hear your take on Ketovore. I only heard it called "soft carnivore". I too started out on carnivore but didn't feel my best so I switched over for the last 3 weeks and am losing weight and feeling great. Down 13 pounds (in addition to the 21 I lost on carnivore) since I switched and feel totally satisfied both physically and mentally. The weight loss is slower but steady. I eat primarily meat, eggs, cheese but add in some onions, green peppers, cabbage and spring greens with a carb free dressing. Not all in the same meal of course and I keep my carbs
Jessa James : good that this is working for you. I think that people think that carnivore is just eating meat, but without enough fat for energy, your body will convert the protein to glucose. Also, no matter what the ratios, if you eat too much, you can put on fat (but hopefully at least the good kind). Another thing people do is go by the scales too much. If you are gaining muscle, it is heavier than fat. It is about being healthy and feeling good.
You are spot on to me. Ketovore for sure. This gives me encouragement. Eating a veg once or twice a week, I felt guilt I was not strictly carny. I started this journey because my insulin/glucose issue. Never would I choose to change my eating habits because of weight, but I did for health. I lost 15pounds on paleo, but glucose didn’t budge. I went keto and lost 50 lbs, but fasting glucose was still not where I wanted it. Finally went “ketovore” and my numbers FINALLY spot on...and lost the remaining 15 lbs.
My favourite part too. Am just about to start. Been keto 2 years its good but I have no will power and I found being allowed all the almond flours an suger free jelly type treats I would find myself over indulging and basically cheating. Your video has inspired me to try ketovore. Thank you for taking the time to make these
I started doing this too! Listening to u,I don't feel bad about it. ! Most days I do carnivore but sometimes life interrupts and I just need something more! Thank u for this!💞
Yes, I love the term that you and Dr. Berry use, the Human Diet. It's much less restrictive than primal, keto or carnivore, allowing for personal differences. My understanding is, if you're thinking in terms of 3 co-centric circles, the outer circle is primal, the middle circle is keto, and the inner circle is carnivore, meaning carnivore is just a stricter version of keto.
Great video and, as always, informative and straight talking. I'm leaning towards the Ketovore side because its a little more flexible. I've allowed the 'carb monster' back in my life since the lockdown and its taken me several steps backwards. I think Ketovore will help me get back to where I need to be. Have a lovely day :)
You have given me so much courage. I have an appt Monday to get my thyroid, hormones and blood work up done. Hoping to make some progress with symptoms I have and continue my journey
I love your honesty saying you aren't 'there' yet! I am working my way to carnivore...hubby and I are starting this month. I can't wait to see how we both feel!
I followed keto for 6 years then fell off the bandwagon and am struggling to get back on. I loved keto, it really helped with the crushing fatigue I have with multiple sclerosis. My lovely general practitioner, who was a nutritionist before studying medicine put me on it when I started to have kidney dysfunction due to the MS meds. I was dubious because as an RN we are taught to follow that blasted pyramid diet which is so wrong! Since ‘falling off the bandwagon’ I am still using many low carb products but I will absolutely cheat! So, I have decided to do ketovore. Going to the supermarket today to stock up on meat, cheese and eggs, but like you Neisha I need that little bit more. I have been following Ken’s channel almost since the start, I didn’t realise you were doing your own channel, so I have subscribed. Thanks for the info.
I've decided to try meat heavy keto - I guess Ketovore. Just a few days and I feel better than I've felt in a while. Thank you so much to both you and Dr Berry. You've both helped so many people. We really appreciate it!
Hahahaha... that’s a good way to put it! I would just tell people “I am Carnivore heavy keto” as most don’t properly understand Carnivore. I don’t do carbs very well but do great on beef with butter sauce and salt.
My plan consists of plenty of fatty meats, eggs, and some cheese. I do add in my favorite fruit which is avocado, and on occasion I have some pico de gallo when I am enjoying my beef tongue (lengua) or barbacoa. I am doing this for life, and I have lost a ton of weight, and I have never felt better.
I love this video! Unlike you, ha ha, I am not a thin lady, I have always carried extra fat since the age of 12 or so. I have found, after decades of trail and error, that low-carb with 20:4 works best for me. I am interested in Ketovore, but not sure if I want to go full carnivore. With my body type, carbs are just too much. You and Dr Berry keep the videos coming!
I'm a sauce girl and love to dip too! I too am mainly carnivore because it helps me so much - occasional avocado or onions :) I'm close to dairy free, but dang, it's hard to give up the diary!
You look great!!!! I’ve been Carnivore for almost a year and LOVE how I feel. I do cheat occasionally with a tiny salad and it doesn’t bother me but I do not feel the need anymore to eat the majority of keto food. Meat is just the best food. Thanks for the great video!!!
I made the mistake of saying I was ketovore in a carnivore group on Facebook. Someone was rude to me about it, so I left the group. I’m glad you’re speaking of it-hopefully it will be more accepted.
I realized after I watched your video, that I have evolved to eating the way you do. I have Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, which has a certain element of autoimmune disorder associated with it. I feel better not eating a lot of vegetables. I eat some nuts, meat, a little dairy and onions, garlic, and a half cup of whatever vegs every couple days. My crunchy is pork rinds.
Hi Neisha, looking to move back into keto and now ketovore due to a similar auto-immune/hormone problem. I'm still fairly new to ketovore so listening to what you're eating/doing has been helpful!
This really struck a chord with me. I like some veggies (mostly cruciferous) . Somehow this green garnish helps me eat the amount of protein/fat I need for satiety without wrecking my diet.
I've started Ketovore from having been on Keto for a year and a half. Lost 35 lbs then fell off for a while. I got set off by hearing that resistant rice is okay. For me, that was the gateway food. I craved more and more carb and now finally, pulled back and doing great on Ketovore. Thank you so much for your information. I actually used pork rind crumbs for chicken breading and so glad I broke down and finally tried it. :)
I was thinking of getting into carnivore and I’ve been researching and reading up on it for a week but had some hesitation. I think that ketovore is more sustainable for me. I also love onions and spices in my food.
I've come to the end of my Months trial of Carnivore, but I am missing stuff like Almond flour pancakes, and mushrooms and dark chocolate. Think I'm going to have Keto weekend.
YAY Ketovore Sistah! Same here, feel my best on Carnivore but tend to eat cabbage every now and again... I love it sauteed in butter. I also have been cutting back the dairy...very little only because I find eating any dairy kicks up hunger and cravings just about the same that sugar, grain, or any starches might. I also have a few berries every now again just strawberries and or blueberries. I like the freedom to eat them when I want them but I usually just eat my meat, chicken or eggs. Next month I think I am going back to eating chaffles...I did that back towards the last few months of 2019 and got down to my lowest weight ever. Somehow its like an egg fast...but with so many more options...I love a good egg sandwich on a chaffle or a Chaffle Lox and Cream cheese. You look fantastic Neisha! Keep that Ish Up!
I find with carnivore I’m tired. When I add in some low, low, carbs at supper, I find I have more energy. As long as I can keep under 20 g a day of carbs I lose weight and maintain some energy. The carbs I use are lettuce, some tomatoes, courgette, aubergine.
New subscriber your link came from your husband's channel. At 71 with psoriasis I am trying to get proper nutrition for my health. I am total carb and vege addict since little girl. And fat on meat makes me gag. I carry about 20-25 extra pounds. I hear about huge bathroom issues on diet change and since I still work I'm a bit concerned about that too. But....think I am ready to take the leap and so plan to start watching more of your videos today because I know giving up veges would be so hard I'd fall off the wagon. Lots of terms are foreign to me... don't know what a macro is and guess I better look for a carb chart. Anyway, thanks!
Im new to your page. Although I have been following Dr. Ken. I've been on Keto Lifestyle Changes since March. I never heard of Ketovore. Will be checking out this form. Take Care.
I’m definitely ketovore. I can’t just quite do straight up carnivore for more than a two week stint at a time. And I do like a little variety with seasonings and I like cream in my coffee. My efforts still work for me. Nothing should be carved in stone otherwise folks will lose interest quickly.
I have been carnivore for almost 5 months. I am done with this diet. The palate fatigue is killing me. Im gonna start adding veggies back in to see if i get any reactions. Im doing this for my mental illnesses. I shall start with mushrooms first. Then tomatoes. Then some peppers. And so on.
I slammed my system hard for doing carnivore for 6 days I got severe oxalate dump symptoms! My eyelid swelled up with a chalazion and I was in keto flu feeling really itchy like prickly needle feelings so I had to eat some dark chocolate and some vegetables. Instantly I felt better. Ketovore sounds AWESOME you get the benefits of both diets! That deep carnivore energy is incredible razor sharp elevated mind from the ketones!
Loved this video. I'm pretty new to you channel. This makes so much sense to me. Lots of helpful information. I'm going to watch what you eat in a day.
I'm so thankful I found out about this. I was eating so many veggies thinking it was ok for me but it turns out it just was not. One week of eating Carnivore and (somewhat ketovvore as I use some primal kitchen sauce rarely) and I already feel better, not hungry all the time, can fast long, and I have lost water weight. I am glad to know I can use a little garlic or onion. I love spices.
I love Ketovore. I'm on a great Ketovore group on FB that is very supportive. I actually call myself Mediterranean ketovore. LOL Can't give up the olives. Great video.
Thanks Neisha. I appreciate your vlogs. Just subbed. Still new to this. But I like onions to help add flavor and I feel like a salad is a healthy cheat with the carnivore.
Since I've been on a Keto diet ( 4 weeks) my diabetes numbers have gone down significantly! Eliminated 2 of 3 meds! Working on totally going off meds ( and side effects fr meds have almost totally gone away !) And as a bonus I've lost over 10 lbs in 4 weeks... Learned fr Dr Ken and you, thank u so much for educating me I feel great!
You've always been pretty but you just look healthier...so inspiring. I have hypothyroid and am seriously considering cutting back on veggies and consuming more meat/ meat products.
So glad I found you and Ken. I really identify with ketovore. I don't require a ton of veg and I don't do well when I eat huge salads, BUT...I simply can't do pure hardcore carnivore. I love bacon, I love ribeyes, I love eggs, I love salt, but eating only those foods drives me nuts and I simply can't stick to it. I totally agree with you and think that the diet is basically irrelevant if you can't stick to it consistently long term. I fail every time I cut out veg completely. It's just to boring. I know it's entirely a mental thing, but you'll have to pry avocados, olives, cold pressed coconut oil and the occasional hot sauce from my cold dead heads. I can cut out everything else, but I need some sort of taste/texture differences to keep meat enjoyable. I personally think that's good enough because I can actually stick to it. That's just me though. 🤷🏻♂️ Edit: I also feel better with higher fat (keto ratios)! It's the only thing that keeps me satiated and overall my well-being is just better. Edit: Forgot to mention I fast and only eat 3 days a week. I have a whole avocado, some olives and coconut oil with my animal products on every one of those days and I feel great! You really do have to experiment and find what works for you. That being said, I 100% agree that it starts with keto, then you titrate from there to figure out how much you can cut out and what you can't live without.
This is pretty much what I do. I use garlic and habanero for seasoning. I would struggle if I didn't have dairy, so I'm thankfull that my body can handle it :)
This is the what I’m finding works for me, I love vegetables and dairy. I drink raw milk and cream and salads or Brussels occasionally ( and some cheats here and there which I usually regret because I’ll end up with heartburn)
Love your videos! Always good and helpful information!
Thanks so much!
Oh yes......that's right. No starchy foods and sugar......I feel that dairy also is inflaming my hands and knees and other body parts, trying to wean myself off these things.....starches are easier to start with, then dairy, I don't eat alot of the fruits that I used to (no apples, pears, peaches, pineapple, oranges, pink grapefruit) I do still eat berries (I love Strawberries....and blueberries, and raspberries too.)
I live Brussels sprouts! and Asparagus...broccoli and cauliflower.
Thank you for this video!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Forever yours Sincerely Eldon!!!!!
eldon montgomery thank you so much for sharing this with me!
I’m 66. I’m having diarrhea issues at times and not loosing much weight. But I’m going to stick with it. I have gotten my blood sugars under control still with the help of metformen
Hey how are you going since you wrote your post a yr ago. I lol at road rage...i have it badly...lol.
Hehehe same 😂
Stefanie F
Same.
Same!
What effect does carnivore have on autophagy and the reduction of loose skin while consuming so much protein? I was under the impression that for your body to utilize the protein within your loose skin, you need to reduce protein consumption. Confused!!!
I'm so glad you pointed out that everyone is different and feels different on keto or carnivore. Another great video!
Thank you for posting this. I was doing ketovore and didn't know it. I have hashimoto, diabetes, heat disease. I felt great but let doctors tell me to stop and I gained back 20lbs of 38lbs lost. I'm going back to what works. Thank you for all your info
So glad you are taking your health into your own hands! Bravo!
Ketovore is a good way to describe it. I'm a ketovore also! Keeps my fibromyalgia at bay
Same! ot fibro, but chronic back pain. It disappears when I avoid what doesn't suit me, and eat avocados nearly every day. Mushrooms, green beans, zucchini, pumpkin, a little yam and romaine lettuce work well for me, too.
Ketovore has proven to be perfect for me♡
awesome!!
Same here!
Same! Are you still doing it?
Thank you t2d and my numbers are dropping and getting more consistent high 90s low 100s
Much better than high 100a ,200,300s
I was trying to push back with insulin injections
Add berberine and benfotimine to help with your diabetes. Keto and those two supplements brought my A1c down from 6.9 to 5.3. Glucose down from 119 to 93. Goodluck!
I agree Carnivore for me just seems too constricting. Ketovore I believe will be my diet for now too.
That is so awesome that your whole family is into this!
The husband didn't even put up a fight or anything. He is firm in believing not to bitch to the person making the meals lol. Plus he loves meat.
@@wavaleroue4382 this is so wonderful!
I'm enjoying eating Carnivore, but love vegetables and need to change things up. This video is exactly what I needed. Thank you, Neisha!
I feel ya! I want a veggie every once in awhile! Keto isn’t restrictive feeling to me and it’s sustainable. At this point carnivore doesn’t feel sustainable. I love mushrooms with my meat
I love mushrooms too...omg. with an ungodly amount of butter on them, of course! 🤤💜🍄
Mushrooms are extremely low in phyto-toxins. I eat a coupla boxes a week.
I agree too! Nothing like a steak smothered in butter, onion and mushrooms!
@@C2yourselfcongratulations ❤, I started Ketovore for weight loss
Keto helps people to grow up, to take responsibility of one's own well being...thank you for sharing your experiences, Neisha and Dr Berry for backing it up with scientific information. It's liberating...
I love your videos! You made my diet make sense when you said KETOVORE, being Latina, I need some spice and jalapeno in my life!
Yes girl I feel that. All the garlic Please!!
Interesting take on keto and carnivore... There are so many variations of these lifestyles, the possibilities are endless!
Thank you for posting this video. I couldn’t agree more. I do mostly carnivore myself and i feel the best doing so.
Yay!!
I’m so happy to hear you’re getting back on track!!!
Hi Neisha! I am hooked on your videos and Dr Bs. I am 2 week into this way of life. My goal is 30lb loss I am down 7.5 lbs in 2 weeks! Thank you so much for taking time to help people. My husband was 320 he is now 298 2 WEEKS LATER!
Hi there ! You and Dr Berry have literally saved my life !! God bless..
Your videos are always so helpful! I love your blogs! You and Dr. Berry are so awesome!
Thank you so much!!
Love this video! You explain things well. As soon as I heal from my achalasia surgery, I’ll definitely try the ketovore diet! Thanks so much !
Thank you so much, Neisha! I’ve learned so much from you and Dr Berry!
I love cheese so much 😢
This is me. I'd love to be carnivore but the ketovore thing is a great compromise to feel good and sustain things longterm. I'm so grateful for this channel. You're kind of taking over Dr Ken for me right now 🤣🤣
Love and blessings to you and yours from Rick in N.H. Getting very educated with the videos you folks are doing. Good work.
So glad you are finding them helpful!
Yes, that's exactly how I am! Team Ketovore!
I love all the great info you and Dr. Berry provide us! Love you and family....especially your cutie pie baby doll!!❤️
I love this idea! I’m definitely going to try it. As long as I can have some cooked green veggies occasionally I’ll be fine. Thanks for the video!
I love your what I eat in a day videos!!
So glad !! I love making them!
Good luck! 💜
@@choosejoy93 that means a ton. Thank you
I love your honesty saying you aren't 'there' yet! I am working my way to carnivore...hubby and I are starting this month. I can't wait to see how we both feel!
Oh you are Dr. Berry's wife?! How sweet! Loving your channel. Just found you today.
I love veggies and salad.
Welcome to my channel 💓🤎
Great video ! You and Dr berry have saved my life ! God bless...
I like the new coffee and chat videos you are doing now.
LOVE the frequent videos!
I'm right there with you sister!
I love this! Thank you. I’ve been “ketovore” for months. I feel great. I love my avocado, cabbage and salads too, once in awhile.
Fantastic video! I just love your new What I Eat In a Day videos, keep 'em coming! You and your family are just precious :)
I really appreciate your pragmatic approach.
Neisha, I swear you get more beautiful every year!!!
Meat 🥩 for LIFE
I made the mistake of saying I was ketovore in a carnivore group on Facebook. Someone was rude to me about it, so I left the group. I’m glad you’re speaking of it-hopefully it will be more accepted.
You do what is right for you . Dr Berry and his wife Neisha are the best and everyone comments what he or she found is best for their health.
I had never heard of Ketovore but this exactly explains how I have been leaning towards with my diet. Thank you! 💓
If it works it works. Keto semi heavy on the veggies, make me feel amazing! Great video!
Thank you!
This really struck a chord with me. I like some veggies (mostly cruciferous) . Somehow this green garnish helps me eat the amount of protein/fat I need for satiety without wrecking my diet.
Neisha, thank you for caring about others the way you do. I really find your videos so helpful and honest!
I love your approach!!
I was thinking of getting into carnivore and I’ve been researching and reading up on it for a week but had some hesitation. I think that ketovore is more sustainable for me. I also love onions and spices in my food.
Keeping a balance between what's best for your physical health and what's sustainable for you..Thanks for sharing your sweet spot..
What a great video. I've been stuck for a year. You have me the inspiration to try this! Thank you!
I've come to the end of my Months trial of Carnivore, but I am missing stuff like Almond flour pancakes, and mushrooms
and dark chocolate. Think I'm going to have Keto weekend.
Mushrooms always work well for me. I do chaffles...U may like to try them if u have a waffle iron. Recipe online.
Thank you Neisha! ❤️
I've got to have cayenne pepper on everything I eat
Thank you, Neisha!!! I needed to hear this!!!!
I bought the Women's World magazine. Great article!
I really look forward to watching yours and the good Doctors' videos. I wish Dr. Berry was my Doctor but I live in the UK.
Edit: I also feel better with higher fat (keto ratios)!
Seriously love this comment.
Great ideas here.
Ketovore is working for me. I feel so much better doing it this way! More energy and better sleep. I think I found what works best for me.
If you had a book I would buy it in a heartbeat!! Thank you and Dr Ken🙏
I like this. I love onions, garlic, and peppers. I like sauces too.😁 Definitely can't give up dairy.
