Lot of the old suits needs buffs and adjustments for sure. The gm sniper would benefit from lower heat rate and machine gun for a sub. the gm sniper ii should also have eithet an mg sub or a beam gun sub too.
I don't know if it still has them, but when it was released the Missile version also had balancers which made it even better at melee. Before all of the Raids got rebalanced to be able to just shrug off stagger hits, the ML Sniper custom could simply outfight most of the raids it would ever face since many of them at that cost do not have evasive maneuvers. Now almost all of the supports are kind of just pain to play.
I forgot to look myself if it did have balancers, but i do recall being able to move around and even melee a Gouf Custom in one of the matches i recorded for this video. Or maybe i only imagined it after getting hit so many times lol.
@@alondjeckto Xamel flaw is, it doesn't have " _Damage Controller_ " As its already big target, any spam range attack can outright stagger it, and hinder Xamel to do bombardment from distance. 👁👁
Both the GM Sniper Custom and its ML Sister suit have Balancers and a lvl 2 melee priority. Besides poking with full charge shots in the back you're best off using the Vulcans to keep suits at a slight distance. At close range you're limited obviously, but at least you have an option besides running away.

I couldn't remember if the standard custom had also had balancers, but for some reason I thought it didn't, or that there was no reason to bother with it since the alternative also has rocket pods for the extra damage.
In all honesty every single Support should be given Shock Dampeners and Damage Control to help them defend themselves. And since I'm talking about things that will never happen Supports should be given a tackle skill that guarantees special tackle counter everytime at the expense of the thruster gauge or at the very least 2 tackles.

After all these years of watching gameplays and finally able to play the game thanks to the steam version i can finally feel the support pain. I just don't understand why they don't have any kind of defensive skill, between 500 and 300 there is a lot of "high mobility/high performance" snipers lorewise that are slow and can't defend themselves in the current meta. Some supports deserve to be able to roll and some needs some kind of skill that let you able to cancel the recovery of sniper types weapons with a dash.
If supports got any buffs to deal with raids the the generals would start bi**hing that supports are OP and ether demand them to be nerfed or for generals to be buffed... And then the raids will start whining like entitled children because they can't just dump massive damage out onto the supports and ask for the gens to be nerfed or raids to be buffed... You starting to see a pattern here?
Im new but honestly this suit just FITS. I still struggle a lot with the rifle, but the double beam gun with a suitably survivable build just works with my play style of aggressive support. The side arm has pitiful range, but its great for quadra tapping enemies on the ground, or for blowing the legs out from an enemy from behind.
I think 350 is a lot more fun than some people think. The suits are better than the lower cost ones, but they're still not that crazy with all the different skills and everything else.
Every time i see a Gogg in a Support I'm like "@$#%! That overweight looking thing is just going to keep #$@% walking to me no matter what i shoot it with."
Though that's normally me, if I'm in a Gen, I'm gonna bodyguard the @$"+ out of the support! I catch a whiff of red near the yellow and I make Akai Baka black and blue!
I'm not totally convinced that the GM Sniper Custom has "Fallen". It's map dependent but if used with the double beam gun the GM Sniper Custom for most players will be the best support at cost in terms of DPS. It's used exactly like a general in very close range alongside your allies. Your lack of stun will be your obvious flaw but the ability to destroy legs and do tremendous damage outweighs this while facing typical team compositions. If you're unfortunate enough to be in a match against 2 or 3 raids on the enemy team it won't matter what suit you're using. If you were lucky enough to have unlocked the Desert Zaku DA that will be the best support at 300 no matter what but the Sniper Custom is really still a fantastic suit. Main weapon adjustments could be fine (like making the rifle an uncharged stun) but I think doubling the range of the beam pistol would be a mistake. Either way interesting video.
Honestly I think the suggestions you provided for the custom are outstanding, but, if I may add another Level 2 melee priority and maybe a dodge roll Sniper Custom, despite its name, was more a ace use general purpose MS with the ability to snipe tacked on, so I think it’s fair that it should be able to get a bit closer and be more reliable at close range than it is now Other than that, uh, no idea, consider me a substiber though because I can’t think of any other channel that does content like yours :)
Give it a stagger on an uncharged shot but only a minor stagger. Amping things up when charged for a bigger stagger will give a "Do I charge and leave myself open for more stagger or snap shot while being able to move after the shot to a safer perch?" does that sound like a fair change?
Sounds good. I recently thought of simply letting us move while we charge the rifle. So nothing really changes, just that we can move and charge at the same time.
I've noticed they tend to give the left over scraps to the Federation grunt suits, while the ZEON grunt suits get most of the fun toys to play around with. Maybe they think that the Gundam(s) make up for it.
I dunno how I found you, but I'm paying attention now. What comes to mind offhand besides your ideas is fiddling with the beam handguns- some combination of buildstun/heat rate/fire rate maybe? Still, it could be worse...at least it's not the Gunner Gundam.
Brah... I literally took the Gunner Gundam out for a test drive last night... it was terrible. I'm not sure how to use it or if there is any right way to use it 🤔😬
@@Mobilesuitk9 I've somehow managed to take it to Arctic Base and do well (as in, not get swallowed by a horde of raids), the only thing that I can tell is to just cling on to a teammate's back as hard as possible and pretend you've got balancers. No scoping in, charged shot only when they're downed (or if you have a really good shot at hitting multiple people). Even then it's incredibly scuffed and liable to not go well

Sub Beam gun range buff be nice by 50 or 100 so it's not to powerful at breaking MS legs, movement increase, boost would help, HP buff not by much would help, Vulcans buff be good.
@@Mobilesuitk9 if all supports have anti stealth that would be great, but that would make raids with stealth to easy to pick up on radar and stealth skill kinda useless, that is why some specific genaral and support have anti stealth for that job 😅
@@GaryRocksGaming It would weaken the Raids that rely on stealth, but I tend to think of their stealth skills being more so that the generals don't pick them off so easily. Even if a support can spot them, it doesn't change the advantage of the raids by too much. At least i don't think.

Really? It must've been a while back because i don't think i remember seeing a video of his with this MS. Or maybe i need to look at his much older videos to find it. at two shots works, i think. after considering how much DPS it has, that might be better. 300 matches are a little harder to find. I especially struggled to record any actual game play for the original GM Sniper since everytime i log on to play i almost never get any 200 - 300 matches.

Any sniper mobile suit is sucks just because you cant even walk while you aim, you literally dont do that much of damage at all but forced to be stationary canon with no real damage.

Exactly. Supports all need to have some type of AA group to deal with the trauma.

The Pale Rider Cavalry and the Sniper custom are still my go to for 350 matches.

It does do some serious DPS. I just wish I could get more practice with it. I hardly ever get 300 - 400 quick matches whenever I log on.

It really is a fun suit. I usually prefer smaller supports like this one since it has better maneuverability than the typical bulky supports.
It sucks because in lore, the Sniper Custom was pretty much the best mass-produced Fed ace suit of the OYW.
